Alan J. Steinbergwho served as an adviser to former President George W. Bushwrote in an opinion piece published this week that he didnt believe President Donald Trump would be removed from office through impeachment.
Steinberg, a former Environmental Protection Agency regional administrator, said that he believed Trump would resign in 2019 in exchange for immunity.
Trump will not be removed from office by the constitutional impeachment and removal process, Steinberg wrote in The Star-Ledger. Instead, the self-professed supreme dealmaker will use his presidency as a bargaining chip with federal and state authorities in 2019, agreeing to leave office in exchange for the relevant authorities not pursuing criminal charges against him, his children or the Trump Organization.
Steinberg noted in the piece that should the House of Representatives impeach Trump, 20 Republican senators would have to break with the president to remove him from officeand that seems very unlikely. Steinberg wrote that the many legal challenges facing Trumpthe investigation from special counsel Robert Mueller, the probe from the Southern District of New York as well as inquiries from the attorney general of New York and the Manhattan District Attorneys Officecould lead him to leave the White House, especially as authorities close in on his family.

Exactly my question.
I'd so much rather be with the deplorable party than the despicable party.
I can't wait for Trump to bury these clowns.
These people are a laugh riot. No one is dealing with any of you degenerates any more.
The democrats have been out with this prediction since inauguration day. Ain’t come true yet!

ABOUT ALAN
Alan J. Steinberg (born November 22, 1949) served as the Regional Administrator for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2 from September 7, 2005 until January 20, 2009. Region 2 serves New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and eight federally recognized Indian Nations.
Mr. Steinberg oversaw federal programs that govern all aspects of the environment, with the purpose of protecting the health and livelihood of the region’s approximately 31 million residents.
As Regional Administrator, Mr. Steinberg managed nearly 1,000 staff from a variety of professions - engineering, hydro geology, law, chemistry, biology and public outreach, to name just a few. He also oversaw an annual budget of approximately $750 million. Among his priorities as Regional Administrator were the cleanups of the Hudson and Passaic rivers and Lake Onondaga, approval of the State Clean Air Implementation Plan for New York and the Filtration of Avoidance determination for New York City water, and improvement of solid waste management and water quality in Puerto Rico.
While serving as Regional Administrator, Steinberg made history by having a formerly delisted Superfund site, Upper Ringwood Mines, New Jersey, restored to the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL). The site had been prematurely taken off the list in 1994, severely impacting the health of the Ramapough Indian residents of Upper Ringwood. Steinberg secured the relisting of the site in 2006. This was the first time a previously delisted site had been restored to the NPL in the history of Superfund. Because of this restoration, Steinberg was both praised and interviewed by Cynthia McFadden on the ABC Nightline show.
Prior to his EPA appointment, Steinberg was Regional Advocate, Region 2, for the federal government’s Small Business Administration. He served as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, was a member of the New Jersey Executive Commission on Ethical Standards, worked for the New Jersey Department of Commerce and Economic Development as an Assistant Commissioner, and acted as Senior Policy Advisor in the New Jersey Assembly Majority Office.
Mr. Steinberg practiced law both privately and as a corporate in-house legal counsel. He began his legal career in the U.S. Navy, serving as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate Generals Corps.
Mr. Steinberg received his bachelor’s degree with honors in political science from Northwestern University, his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a Master of Law in Taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law. At Northwestern, he studied American foreign policy history under the tutelage of the late Dr. Richard Leopold, then the nations most prominent professor in that field.
During the year 2009-2010, Mr. Steinberg served as Public Servant in Residence at Monmouth University. Since September, 2010, he has taught as an adjunct member of the Monmouth University political science faculty. During the academic year 2010-2011, he served as scholar in residence of the Monmouth University Urban Coast Institute.
Mr. Steinberg is a frequent guest commentator on television shows on New Jersey government and politics, including WWOR-TV New York Channel 9 New Jersey Now, News 12 New Jersey Power and Politics, and the former New Jersey Network (NJN) show, On the Record. On Election Night 2010, he was a guest commentator on NJN. He also is a regular columnist for New Jerseys leading political website, PolitickerNJ.com, as well as NewJerseyNewsroom.com.
He is the author of the book, American Jewry and Conservative Politics: A New Direction, published in 1988.
Currently, Mr. Steinberg is a partner in the New Jersey government affairs and lobbying firm, State Street Partners.
Alan J. Steinberg the Nazi will leave America instead of being hanged from a lamppost.
ALL of the criminality seems to be on the democrat side. Why does Trump have to do anything?
I wonder if they have to take drugs to have these visions....
Never going to happen.. I honestly think that President Trump is having time of his life.. he gets strong and bolder as the brain-dead communists get crazier.. LOL
you nailed it.. I honestly think Trump thrives on their BS...
Democrats and the permanent government would hate the fallout from this deal. No doubt an outgoing Trump with this deal would declassify everything weve been waiting to see. The dirty DoJ, corrupt judges, the dirt Obama holds over Roberts....everything else they are trying desperately to keep bottled up.
“half of so called Americans approve of it.”
If we only knew the real numbers.. I will bet you a steak dinner that less than 20% of legal citizens give a crap.. they don’t care.. I also think that 60 to 70% of Americans would have a real problem with impeachment..
The Left has been lying about polls for 100 years.. nobody can believe a word they say anymore..
