Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) on Wednesday said he doesn't believe President Trump will win a second term as president.
"In terms of the first three months in office, Donald Trump is the least popular president in the history of polling," Sanders told The Associated Press while speaking in New York. "I do not believe that if Trump continues these policies that he's going to be reelected. Nor do I think that the Republicans are going to do well in 2018."
Sanders, who is planning to launch a cross-country tour with Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez next week, said a more progressive movement is underway that will hurt Republicans' electoral chances.
"The momentum right now is with the progressive movement in this country," Sanders said. "And I think the Republicans are on the defensive and will be on the defensive increasingly."
Sanders pointed to Tuesday's special election in Kansas, in which the Republican candidate narrowly won the House seat vacated by now-CIA Director Mike Pompeo in a deep-red district that Trump won overwhelmingly.
"The Republicans had to spend money like crazy at the end to beat him," Sanders said. "I think that's a very good omen for the future."
Republican candidate Ron Estes defeated civil rights attorney James Thompson (D) Tuesday, overcoming a surprisingly tough challenge and denying Democrats a major upset.
Hmmm, this contradicts his earlier statement, “Trump will never be President”
I thought this Commie POS was an “Independent”?
And 8 points isn’t “narrow”. The Republican won handily
And yes, Bern got screwed by the Dems and yet still “identifies” with them
Talk about a cuckold
Results: 52.5%R, 45.7%D, 1.7% L.
6.8% is nothing to be sneezed at when the Democraps were trumpeting a massive Republican defeat, greater than Trump’s massive defeat by the HillBeast. Saunders is the type of fascinating intellectual creature that does best in a zoo.
MANY said Trump wouldn’t win the 1st time, why wouldn’t they say the same thing the 2nd time. Bernie Sanders...if Trump wins will you step down?
I hope someone is keeping a catalog of all of these Trump predictions.
I spoke to a Jewish person today who called Bernie Sanders a “self-hating...” Many liberals despite Israel.
He probably did beat Clinton. DNC set everything in motion to shut him down, it the only way he lost.
Why are these losers of the losers called on for political advice? Uh, uh. I don't think so.
It's like getting advice on what clothes to wear to an important job interview from a homeless street person.
This from a no term president who took a 600K pay off from Clinton to step out of the campaign.
Trump will never get the Republican nomination.
Trump will never be elected President.
Trump will never be reelected President.
I sense a pattern here.
Narrowly my a$$. Typical media BS.
Yeah, that could happen. The rapture may be any day.
“Says a man who couldn’t even beat Hillary Clinton. “
Says a man who may not be around four years from now!
“And now
Trump will be a one term president!!!”
Possibly, but he WILL BE a four Justices appointed to the SCOTUS President in that one term!
If he can get 3 or4 good appointments on Supreme Court, fine by me.
What polls? I kind of like Trump’s numbers:
Trump was at 51% in December - versus what we were told was a majority of ‘popular vote’ for Hillary. After 4 months of daily bashing by conspiracy wackadoodles, he’s lost a whole whopping 3%, down to 48%. In the meantime 67% of democrats think Trump will succeed, although 64% don’t want dems working with Trump. 91% of republicans think Trump will succeed. Among all voters 14% want Trump to fail - that would include Bernie, I imagine.
Of Republicans, 13% prefer a congressional republican over Trump, 33% prefer Trump over a congressional republican and the rest like Trump and congressional republicans equally. 76% agree congress is out of touch and 29% of republicans think congressional republicans are a bigger problem for Trump than democrats.
Significantly, in 2013, only 27% of all voters approved of action in Syria - 12% republicans. In 2017 57% approve - including 82% republicans and 38% democrats.
(all percentages from recent Rasmussen polls, except the Syria figures for partisanship which I admit to blatantly stealing from Madcow’s show today)
I am also becoming skeptical. If Bannon & Miller leave this consumates the leftist. Ivanca & her husband are not the type we voted for. Let's just hope that we make our voices known. Happy Easter to all.
Frankly, I don’t think Trump will be in office for even half of his first term....
I Think he will go AWOL...
With the rest of the Body of Christ.
Then the leftists will have everything they ever wanted.
