Terri's Day and nation's independence protects life culture

Kevin Fobbs May 29, 2006

America's Culture of Life is truly the legacy of one woman whose death forever changed our nation because of actions that were not in her hands but in those of her husband and his lawyers. Yet for millions of Americans we will forever link our own celebration of our nation's independence to the courage of the Schindler family to go forward past the tragedy, past the personal sorrow, past the searing anguish to help America draw a distinct line in the sand, to issue a clarion call to America.

Our 4th of July is coming... Our Culture of Life Independence Day is on its way. Our month of Independence is a message that March 31st (Terri's Day) will signal, that July 4th will signal... and that the month of July will signal to defend the Culture of Life before we lose it forever.

When we talked with our family members or even our neighbors or our friends we may have spent but a moment reflecting upon why we are even gathered on a Memorial Day afternoon. Do we think about the sacrifice of our soldiers and of their families? Do we think about the long goodbyes which are never long enough... as the military families send their loved ones to war, to battle, to stand firm for our freedoms... for our life... for our nation and its values of faith?

How does Terri Schiavo and her legacy tie into this? Terri's legacy and Terri's Day is a representation of a right to live, and freedom to have the liberty to not have it compromised away, devalued by inconvenience, or litigated away by judges who celebrate a culture of death that would rob life from the womb, steal life from a hospital or hospice bed, and destroy and shatter a family's love for a daughter, a sister and aunt who was given a gift from God, but had it separated from her as easily as an ant would have its life take by an uncaring shoe... extinguished forever.

The families who send their loved ones off to war have to wonder as well, does America value their sacrifice? The families of the military have to wonder just where does its society draw the line on its values? A soldier who is in battle in Iraq or Afghanistan has to wonder if a Florida judge can take away the life of an innocent, what is the measure of his life? Would a judge in America suddenly decide that if he were injured, if he had to sacrifice a limb that the protesters outside his hospital bed would have more rights than he would or his family? Would this soldier have to wonder that if he or his fellow soldier were killed in battle, that upon their return that the protesters who would stand outside of his funeral... have more rights to be protected than the rights his family would have to a military burial with honor?

You see, the Culture of Life is about Terri Schiavo, because Americans now have to examine the life of our culture itself. We have to wonder if we as a nation of Christians and of a nation of faith and of a nation of compassion would allow for a state to murder an innocent woman and strip her family of their loved one then as a nation would we allow America to have other symbols of life, of our nation to be peeled away as well, all in open sight and in plain view of a dispassionate nation?

What does our American Culture mean if we allow millions of illegal aliens to literally browbeat us into submission by demanding that because they have stolen across our borders, demanded and received protection from local law enforcement in numerous cities throughout the U. S., obtained free or reduced educational opportunities by state public colleges that our own children could not qualify to receive the same financial aid assistance for. Are we that defenseless to let illegals strip our state coffers of housing assistance for loans and mortgages when tens of thousands in almost every state in America have legal citizens who are homeless, impoverished, or working poor or middle class Americans who need similar assistance but cannot receive it. And they are legal! They are citizens! They are Americans.

What is so wrong about our nation when we are so ready to compromise our freedoms, our culture's life, the life of an innocent and the taking of any life is the taking of our own children's life and their child's. And with each successive generation the nation and its life, its values, its traditions, and its language will disappear because we as Americans were too preoccupied — too narrow — to see that an illegal alien was taking your child's education, that a crusading death culture judge was preparing a bed, a room, a legal precedent to take your child, grandchild or sister or parent.

That is why I have stayed my course to defend the Culture of Life and to ask my fellow Americans to begin to understand that as Terri Schiavo's life was slowly ebbing from her body and as her mother Mary, father Bob, sister Suzanne, and brother Bobby waited in the Florida early morning air on March 31st, 2005, America was having part of its soul ebb away as well.

What will it take to spark an interest, a concern, and a passion for protecting one's own life? Some may say that it would take a clear and present danger — like tanks rolling down your neighborhood street or another 9/11 that strikes at the heart of America. Do we have the convenience to wait? Do we wait until a state legislature in Maine or California or Delaware or Ohio or Illinois decides that your mother's decision to live is determined by a hospital "bean counter" who decides that your mother's life is not based upon a "Will To Live" but an ability to pay her bill? What about a baby, not born, but already set for murder in the womb — not because the mother is pro-life or pro-death but because "the law" says the unborn baby's life is expendable because the baby's genes are determined to be part of a class or a group or a race or of an ethnicity which pre-programs the child, un-born, to death?

America is being murdered in small pieces. It is seeing its values, its life, its culture disemboweled with the finesse of a skilled surgeon. And it is America's poll takers and its legislators and its uncaring, disinterested, and uninvolved who are handling the scalpel. Take the scalpel away. Contact www.Terrisfight.org to join the Foundation's battle to educate America about the right to live. Go to Terri's Day on www.kevinfobbs.com to learn about new updates on Terri's Day and the event to celebrate the Culture of life.

So on Independence Day and Independence month of July will we have any Americans who will sign up and join the Culture of Life movement in their community? Even if it is to sign a pledge, hand out a flyer, become aware of legislators and judicial candidates who have agreed to stand firm for the Culture of Life — a crusade that is based not only upon the life of Terri Schiavo's legacy but equally crucial based also upon the legacy of the right to live, to defend our culture and the life of its values.

Terri's Day is not the end of a national movement but the beginning of a national contract with itself to stand for a future that our nation can guarantee for its children and for a culture that will insure life. The right to live will be Terri's legacy — our legacy... one nation under God. Join us in your homes, on your family picnics, out camping and celebrating July 14th and 15th ... Our American Culture of Life belongs to each and every one of us... We must protect it. Let's celebrate together.

"Nope, nothing there but a link with a lead quotation."

Oh, looky-here. A link and a lead quotation suddenly appears on the thread as if by magic talking about how easy it would have been to choke Terri. Not that we Terri-bots have any proof that's what happened. Not that WE are saying it happened! Heavens, no. That would take balls.

We Terri-bots are the masters of plausible deniability. We'll hint. We'll gossip. We'll insinuate. We'll spread rumors. We'll even post ludicrous articles.

But we will forever deny that WE actually said it.

You dream of the power to interfere with a person's right to die with dignity. You interfered with Terri's. I am not assured that it will stop there.

"It would be reasonable to hypothesize that Michael knows."

I don't see why his guess would be better than anyone elses. Perhaps you can tell me why it would be.

"it's perfectly all right for the rest of us to examine the evidence available, develop other information if possible, and try to find the answer."

But of course. Are you saying that wasn't done?

Or are you saying that, despite the answers given and with no additional evidence, it's perfectly all right to speculate and insinuate what happened that day? I don't agree.

I thought vulgarities such as in #237 were not permitted on FR. I have noted that often when people are unable to defend their positions they resort to hysterics and vulgarities.

If Terri died in 1990, why did Michael sue and money was awarded for her rehabilitation in 1992?

Now that you can no longer deny that Terri had irreversible brain damage, now it's time to roll out the "Michael caused the irreversible brain damage by choking her" argument? Even though you have no proof whatsoever?

No one ever said, at least to my knowledge, she didn't have irreversible brain damage. The problem was that Michael took away all stimuli and rehab away from her the minute he got the settlement for her rehab. No tv, no wheelchair, no nurses who cared about her, and for long stretches no visits from her family. No one knows, except Michael and Terri what exactly when on that fateful night and now with Terri out of the way, no one will ever know. There are enough suspicions to lead to Michael being up to no good, but it was supressed by Greer. Michael was angry with her that day so much so that Terri's friend wanted her to spend the night at the friend's house. After the "bump" in the night that supposedly woke Michael, he didn't bother calling 911 when he found Terri on the floor. He waited a considerable length of time. He finally called her father. The father called her brother and who went over there. Her family called 911. Her brother has stated Michael did nothing to help revive her. The EMS had some questions that were left unanswered. Amazingly, she sustained more injuries, including neck injuries, over the course of a few days after being admitted to the hospital. Doctors reviewing her full body bone scan have stated she'd been "worked over", but again their questions were supressed. But, you're correct. Michael was never convicted of causing any physical injury or mental distress to Terri.

>> If Terri died in 1990, why did Michael sue and money was awarded for her rehabilitation in 1992?

Michael hates to work for a living. Money is what they were brawling about on 2/24/90 -- specifically Terri having the &$%#$@!!! nerve to spend $80 of her own money when he wanted it. After Michael got home from work late that night, Terri mysteriously ended up face down on the floor, barely alive, in suspicious circumstances.

He'd much rather mooch and steal -- and unarguably he's made a lot of money doing both. He lived off Terri's insurance money for a year. He won a malpractice suit against one doctor for a quarter million dollars. (The doctor angrily demanded a state review and was completely exonerated.) Then he tried another malpractice suit. His slip-and-fall lawyer team told him he didn't have a case. But a consulting lawyer named Gary Fox invented one based on the soon-to-be-accepted-as-gospel bulimia theory. They won. I put that one in the category of stealing because the whole theory was a hoax.

Michael's reaction to the award of Rehab money was to buy a new gold Acura and to deny his wife the Rehabilitation. But first he stole her wedding and engagement rings and killed her cats so they wouldn't bother his girl friend's dog. It was only months LATER that he may have tried to kill her as many as six different times with insulin injections and by refusing to let her be treated for a life-threatening UTI. If he had succeeded, he would have inherited the Rehab trust account. But as it turned out, he had to use slower, much more expensive means of killing her.

He's a well-to-do squire now. Oh, he works several days a year in a lucrative tax-paid job, but usually is on the Death Culture speaking tour with Greer et al. Or in Las Vegas. He loves Las Vegas. He took ten or twelve people along on his chartered honeymoon jet to Las Vegas. At least one of them was his bride.

Does this answer your question?

Some of them don't have to "resort to" hysterics. Hysterics come naturally to them.

Can Michael still be charged with fraud and perjury or has too much time passed? And all the laws that Greer has broken . . .

>> Can Michael still be charged with fraud and perjury or has too much time passed?

Not sure, but I'd greatly doubt it. The Rehab money really had nothing to do with malpractice. It was a compassion award to take care of Terri. The insurance companies probably knew that Michael was siphoning the money but they couldn't try to get their money back without looking like ogres attacking a disabled woman.

Greer will walk. If, by some miracle, somebody actually looked into his lawbreaking, the good ol' boys would circle the wagons. Not that they're all friends of Greer, but they have invested working years in the system and aren't going to let any outsider spoil things.

As for Michael -- the thing he dreads the most is his only way out. He must change his heart. He must confess his assault on Terri. God won't forgive him until he asks.

Here is the holiest shrine of my alma mater. It celebrates just what you yourself do every morning in posting the day's news and opinions for our contemplation and discussion. At school we called it academic freedom. It is "the continual and fearless sifting and winnowing by which alone the truth can be found."

The contrast with modern fashion is intense. Nowadays it's indoctrination, political correctness, brainwashing, speech codes, "no tolerance" policies, police state thinking, four letter words, libertinism, collapsing standards and the reek of approaching death.

It doesn't matter what kind of evidence you are expecting to be handed to you on a silver platter. Michael Schiavo is a known perjurer. He lied on his guardianship application as well as his application to work for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Dept.

Or, go here and see how many times Mikey changes his story about Terri.

www.judgegeorgegreer.com. (there is a table of Mikey's changing stories re: what happened. Take your time. The table/chart is there.

BLOVIATION

To bloviate (pronounced BLOW-vee-ayt) is to speak or write overexpansively or with undue grandiosity. It suggests a derivation from to blow, meaning to boast. The term has gained some currency through distribution over Web chat forums and on Web sites. American writer H. L. Mencken, always bordering on bloviation himself, described a less interesting bloviator, President Warren G. Harding, thusly:

He writes the worst English that I have ever encountered. It reminds me of a string of wet sponges; it reminds me of tattered washing on the line; it reminds me of stale bean soup, of college yells, of dogs barking idiotically through endless nights. It is so bad that a sort of grandeur creeps into it. It drags itself out of the dark abysm of pish, and crawls insanely up the topmost pinnacle of posh. It is rumble and bumble. It is flap and doodle. It is balder and dash.

Another famous bloviator

Edward George Earle Bulwer-Lytton
"It was a bright.... no.
"It was a dark cloudy.... no.
"It was a dark and stormy night... {hmmm}
"It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents--except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness."

This thread is about "protecting the culture of life." Why are you here discussing the culture of death which promotes adult abortions?

You so don't know anything about Terri Schiavo. Why don't you order the book written by her parents, the Schindlers? You might learn something about the person you keep saying was dead. Have you been to her grave? Her ashes may be there but she is only dead because SHE WAS TORTURED AND MURDERED, DATE OF DEATH IS: March 31, 2005. There is no statute of limitations on murder.

Carla DID report it to the police but they sat on it. Don't you have a clue about Michael Schiavo's relationships with the Pinellas Cty Sheriff's Office where he now works? Carla talked to the Sheriff's Dept. which is like if you are a good Iraqi citizen and you think you are talking to the good guys but you are giving info to the terrorists instead.

The reason Terri is dead is because thanks to Senator Jim King (Hospice Hall of Fame) he led the charge on behalf of GEORGE FELOS to have feeding tubes termed as medical treatment instead of as nutrition (but it still is under another statute as nutrition and it's a felony to withhold nutrition and water from a disabled person) but oops. Judge Greer picked the statute that was made specifically for Terri.

The sick thing is that Jeb Bush signed into law that feeding tubes were medical treatment, not nutrition.

When Terri got her feeding tube, it wasn't medical treatment but that didn't stop the ruthless people who wanted to murder her, including Judge Greer. They grandfathered her in to the new law so they could use the law to kill her.

They weren't able to outright kill her unless they had something really big to hang their hat on because Terri was doing well but without nutrition and water, she'd be dead, just like any person on the face of the earth would die.

TERRI WAS MURDERED. FLORIDA IS THE STARVATION STATE. It is disgraceful that many republicans participated in her torture and murder. I will never forgive them.

They cannot claim to be pro-life because they didn't come to Terri's aid. She was treated worse than an animal. She was having a GREAT DAY until she found out her feeding tube was coming out.

Little children have feeding tubes. Why aren't they being killed too? This had nothing to do with wishes. Wishes is a fancy word out of the silver tongued devil Felos' serpent mouth. Felos, Bushnell, the ACLU and Michael Schiavo went to Judge Greer (a really good puppet) and evil thrived in a place that was supposed to be about justice but instead was about injustice and lies. I'm still waiting for Judge Greer to be impeached and thrown in jail, the other bums too. This was such a huge crime - Florida has nothing to be proud of here.

JUST ONE ACTION THAT JEB DIDN'T TAKE (there were others too) F.Statute 415.1051 Emergency Protective Services Intervention.
