Fox News alert a few minutes ago says the Dover School Board lost their bid to have Intelligent Design introduced into high school biology classes. The federal judge ruled that their case was based on the premise that Darwin's Theory of Evolution was incompatible with religion, and that this premise is false.
"None of this would matter if government schools were abolished, as they should be."
But they are here, so it does matter.
I thought Rocky already kicked this guys butt 20 years ago!
Theism is entirely compatible with the theory of evolution.
Yes, a scientific theory. Which is surely entirely different from your intended meaning. You need to read some of the earlier posts on this subject.
As stated, they have been spoonfed your theory their whole lives... of course they would believe it to be true.

"The claim of certain ignorance entails a claim of omniscience, which is self-refuting."
No, it's a fact. Right now there is no way to know if a God exists.
Snarky comments aside, surely you realize that not every single dictionary definition is applicable to a word at the same time?
I don't know how you can claim ignorance of the scientific meaning of the word "theory" any longer - it's been explained again and again to you. Willful ignorance in the face of information isn't admirable, but it's also nothing new.
Based on the testimony on both sides, he really had no other alternative. Judges hate to stick their necks out, so to rule so convincingly as it appears he has done, means he had no other alternative.
I can't imaging Thomas More Center appealing this, but I couldn't imagine how they could get in it in the first place either.
Well Merry Christmas to all the Evos.
And, yes Merry Christmas to the Creationoids also. After all: He is the Reason for the Season. There will be solace in church where He belongs :-)
Or read C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity", by the atheist turned Christian. I, like him, find it much harder to believe randomness led to our universe's complexities, as opposed to creation. But then, secular humanists worship the human mind, and especially their own intellect, above all.
Only unproven to the those to ignorant to know the truth!
The Catholic Church disagrees with you. But you know more about it than they do, right?
Primordial Ooze alert.
No, that's the Nation of Islam's job, to explain that white people are the result of a failed science experiment by an evil scientist.
I'm sure you'll have no problem when they teach that "why" in your local public school and call it "science".
Because evolution is the only scientificly proven "theory" about the existence ofthe universe.
____It has not been proven, it is an unprovable hypothesis..intelligent design is not necessarily a religious concept and evidence can be brought forth to show that there is a rational order to the universe without bringing in religion
You cant win.
"I, like him, find it much harder to believe randomness led to our universe's complexities,"
The laws of nature don't operate randomly.
Relativity is a theory as well, but the effects it suggests have been proven time and again, with highly rare/specialized exceptions.
Also, please remember that ID fails in two major areas: 1) assuming God's existence and 2) assuming something is complex beyond human understanding.
Neither is testable, neither can be proven. Therefor, huff and puff all you want, you'll never see it as science.
