Why Terri Schiavo will die tomorrow, the day Jesus Christ died (stop the satanic ritual murder!!!)
self, you ^ | March 24

Posted on 03/24/2005 2:10:42 PM PST by Truth666

It's obvious that the martyrdom of Terri Schiavo is a satanic ritual. It's supposed to culminate tomorrow, day Jesus Christ died.
I'm sure many of you also have understood it. Instead of continuing listing the details, I will let you do it yourselves.

What on earth happened?

I've been so busy in freepmail and other pings I wasn't keeping up with this thread. Then I got the message it was gone and saved all I had - now it's back? lol Whew!

Anyway...

I think it would be a good idea for us to have another thread, tho - with a new name.

I also think it is important that we not isolate ourselves in this thread. Voices of reason - polite ones - need to be seen in all the threads, or at least most.

This isn't a mere disagreement, y'all. However we feel about the ultimate question of Terri Schiavo's wishes, there will be consequences if the urban legend that is being built around this case is not stifled soon.

This is just my opinion, but... FWIW:

1. It is wrong to mislead people and spread untruths

2. It is wrong to over-demonize people (Judge Greer and Michael Sciavo et al) by telling lies or half-truths

3. If people believe the propaganda, there will be lawmakers attempting to restrict our freedoms to make decisions about our own and loved one's care (even written directives don;t cover everything and they can be overruled - see the case of poor Estelle Browning)

4. Most Americans want those freedoms and it is not good for them to associate the removal of them with conservatives

5. However much of this urban legend is proved to be hysteria and lies, it will reflect badly on those who spread it - conservatives must distance themselves from it so they don't get blamed.

(It is driving me insane that the truth about Hammesfahr is being dug up on liberal sites for the most part. Freepers need to vet these things themselves or we lose credibility! So, spread the word that some freepers, like daylate and kdd and others, were exposing him long ago - that the sanity brigade has known better than to trust him or the 3 nurses like Carla Iyer.)

6. It is going to make us look hypocritical when we talk about states rights

7. Most critically, all this condemnation of judges, who have done things *by the law* (even if we would have chosen to do a few things differently) and people like Randal Terry screaming things like, "we've worked so hard to get conservative judges in to avoid this kind of thing" is going to bite us in the butt when Bush tries to get conservative judges confirmed.

We will be sorry if we allow the images of Randal Terry and Bo Gritz types to be associated with conservatism and "conservative" judges.

I'm going to work on some point by point answers to some of the biggest myths out there. I'll add them, or a link to them on my home page.
It would be helpful to me if y'all asked the questions in here (or wherever we go) that need answered most. Get them, then disseminate them. I'm seeing too many good freepers get sucked in because they are only hearing the onslaught of propaganda.

I just dipped my toe in and read the main daily thread, right as more discussion of Jeb Bush=Pontius Pilate popped up, closed the window down immediately. It's actually getting worse I think.

Will this hysTerria (sic) blow over, or has it poisoned us?

It's interesting to see some of the post-election predictions come true...the noting of the arrogance at the win, and the possibility it would lead to our eventual downfall. Seems like it's following that path. :-(

I think it hadn't been posted before because it was in PDF file and most of us don't have a clue how to change the formating to put on FR.

But DC Patriot did it for us!

What do you want to bet that most of the other side hasn't read 2 paragraphs from that report, let alone any of the PDF files of the other court rulings or GAL reports?

Oh, I know. There are so many people involved, including three guardians, how could anyone possibly scream conspiracy? Not to mention the fact that why would all of these people conspire to off the poor woman? Who is going to gain anything?

Just crazy.

I DLd the report a few days ago but have not read it in it's entirety. There have been people on other board who have read the report and believe that it has no credibility.

THIS is the prize winner!

54.6 % of FReepers agree Jeb Bush should have acted.

The reason many of us have gathered on this thread is because it is our considered assessment that over half (as per the number you cite) of FR has become unhinged and irrational, in addition to rude and hostile.

We who hold this opinion are smart, decent, honest, caring and pro-life, too, and are not trolls. I note that by comparing notes many of us who are great reseachers and analysts have seriously considered leaving FR. I never thought I would say that, but I have reached that point.

Just adding a little context for you.

And as an example, to say Jeb Bush hasn't acted in this matter is completely untethered from sound and sober thinking. To advocate sending in troops and the like is insanity.

Yup. Sad.

Did you notice this from the report? I had told freepers on the other side that this was in court testimony and transcripts; of course I was labeled a liar and a Nazi. This is really the saddest part of it, for me. That they can't let go. They even admit that if she wanted to be let go, they wouldn't let her go. That's not love, imo.

From the report:

Testimony provided by members of the Schindler family included very personal statements about their desire and intention to ensure that Theresa remain alive. Throughout the course of the litigation, deposition and trial testimony by members of the Schindler family voiced the disturbing belief that they would keep Theresa alive at any and all costs. Nearly gruesome examples were given, eliciting agreement by family members that in the event Theresa should contract diabetes and subsequent gangrene in each of her limbs, they would agree to amputate each limb, and would then, were she to be diagnosed with heart disease, perform open heart surgery. There was additional, difficult testimony that appeared to establish that despite the sad and undesirable condition of Theresa, the parents still derived joy from having her alive, even if Theresa might not be at all aware of her environment given the persistent vegetative state. Within the testimony, as part of the hypotheticals presented, Schindler family members stated that even if Theresa had told them of her intention to have artificial nutrition withdrawn, they would not do it. Throughout this painful and difficult trial, the family acknowledged that Theresa was in a diagnosed persistent vegetative state.

Onyx, I went to college for six years in Daytona Beach. I then spent 7 years as an unmarried Sailor.

I've spent a week in Puerto Rico with an airplane that had a blown engine, where cathouses are legal, gambling is legal, and rum is $2.50 a bottle.

I've spent nights in Panama City with a combat crew full of OTHER reprobates running the bars, blasted weekends away in Pensacola, Memphis, New York, Germany, England, Curacao, Italy, Tel Aviv, Iceland, Orlando, Miami, Key West, Ecuador, and some places I truly can't remember, save for the smell of perfume and whiskey.

I've been tossed over a rail out of a bar in Daytona, had knives and guns pulled on me in several places, and laughed the whole time.

Jimmy Buffett once said, "There's a THIN line between Saturday night and Sunday mornin'". I've ice-skated on it.

So yes, I've got a bit of experience with hangovers. FR's will be a doozy. They'll be drinkin' Bloody Marys by the gallon.

Badly worded....

There is no support by the Catholic Church for what is being done to Terri Schiavo.

Pesky prepositional phrases!

Now, I'm out the door to Stations of the Cross. Have a good night!

I'd like to add to your list "wild speculation." On another thread, a Freeper managed to tie 1) Felos's wife being on the board, 2)surreptitious mistreatement of hospice patients, with 3)harvesting of aborted baby organs and ,I think, hospice patient organs. It was insanely wild speculation. Horrific.

I've skimmed through it, but not read it closely. What reason do others give for saying it has no credibility? I'm truly interested in knowing, I don't care to be a dupe.

Wow - excellent link. From the article:

When deciding whether to withhold or withdraw medically assisted nutrition and hydration, or other forms of life support, we are called by our moral tradition to ask ourselves: What will my decision do for this patient? And what am I trying to achieve by doing it? We must be sure that it is not our intent to cause the patient's death -- either for its own sake or as a means to achieving some other goal such as the relief of suffering.
