Frist Threatens Jail for Terri [Schiavo] Judge

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Friday that subpoenas issued by Sen. Mike Enzi compelling Terri Schiavo to appear at a March 28 congressional hearing made it a crime to disconnect her feeding tube - and threatened anyone who interfered with her testimony with jail.

In a statement issued by the majority leader's office, Frist said:

"Federal criminal law protects witnesses called before official Congressional committee proceedings from anyone who may obstruct or impede a witness’ attendance or testimony."

"More specifically," said the Senate's top Republican, "the law protects a witness from anyone who - by threats, force, or by any threatening letter or communication - influences, obstructs, or impedes an inquiry or investigation by Congress.

"Anyone who violates this law is subject to criminal fines and imprisonment," Frist said.

Exacly WHAT name did I call you?

I just said you're taking the wrong position on this. You're not standing for life. If you're not fer her living, then de facto you're for her dying. There's NO middle ground anywhere here.

Do you want Terri to live or die? That's the question you still refuse to answer.

I wonder why?

But Petronski, you said you only comment on these threads to correct me and other freepers. Those were your words, not mine.

Yet you can't post one single place where you did correct me. Just one will do.

Not "can't." "Won't."

I don't answer to you. I don't do your homework or your assigned tasks.

But you said you only come on these threads to correct me and my "team." Those are your words Petronski.

But you can't post one single place where you did correct me.

So I guess you lied.

Because you can't. It's clear for anyone reading your posts you haven't either.

So it's both can't and won't. And lying about it to boot.

They should arrest Judge Greer as an accomplice to murder.

Please tell us how many girlfriends and families a husband is allowed to have and still maintain the sanctity of marriage?

Under Sharia law, I believe it's up to four wives and an unspecified number of concubines.

I watched the Demo press conference just an hour or so back. They had several of the big dogs on this issue there to tell us where and why.

Very impressive. They were all well spoken and expressed great concern over maintaining the integrity of family cohesion and decision making.

Then, who did I see slip into view ~ why the scumsucking wifebeating drunk who used to be my Congresscritter ~ the Honorable Jim Moran!

He's the new arbiter of all that's right and holy over there on the Liberal side. In fact, it was clear that he was in full control of the delegation.

I think that pretty much shuts down the need for further debate on this case. We know where you stand, and why. It's just that way when you got Jim Moran on your side.

DCP is one of Jim Moran's gumbahs on this one.

Nothing more need be said.

We don't ask "what would Jesus do". That's putting ourselves in the place of God ~ rather, we would ask "what did Jesus say".

Something about "feed my sheep" ~ then other stuff, none of it telling us to withhold food and water from those who are thirsty and hungry.

You 'believe', but the truth of the matter is that we really don't know, do we?

No, we really don't know. We do know that it took Michael Schiavo 11 years to recall a comment of his wife's on a television.

Since we don't know, it seems better to err on the side of life. There's plenty of time for her to die afterwards, and -- like all of us -- she'll be a long time dead, as the Irish say.

God could, of course, forgive everything. But He doesn't.

BTW, Antinomianism is considered an heresy. That's the one that says since God can forgive everything, then He has probably done so!

The adherents usually strip off their clothing and run about the town to show that God doesn't just strike you down for being bad.

So, please don't do that. There's entirely too much of it on TV these days anyway.

You eat enough garlic (3 to 5 bulbs a day) and you will eliminate all communicable disease from your life.

There was only one hearing related to "fact". Everything else concerned "procedure". You know that by now, so it's time to give it up as a debating point.

Here's a better one for you, though. If the lady is in PVS then it ought to be acceptable to wheel in the formaldyhyde and preserve her on the spot.
