Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Friday that subpoenas issued by Sen. Mike Enzi compelling Terri Schiavo to appear at a March 28 congressional hearing made it a crime to disconnect her feeding tube - and threatened anyone who interfered with her testimony with jail.
In a statement issued by the majority leader's office, Frist said:
"Federal criminal law protects witnesses called before official Congressional committee proceedings from anyone who may obstruct or impede a witness’ attendance or testimony."
"More specifically," said the Senate's top Republican, "the law protects a witness from anyone who - by threats, force, or by any threatening letter or communication - influences, obstructs, or impedes an inquiry or investigation by Congress.
"Anyone who violates this law is subject to criminal fines and imprisonment," Frist said.

He's gone through at least 10 court reviews ivolving about 20 judges over the last 20 years and in review after review the courts have ruled in his favor. If there was no proof or significant question then how would so many judges ruled in his favor?

Who would ever, based on hearsay from a monster, who happens to have once been married to terri, with all that brings like odometer checks and exact, to the penny accounting practices, NOT SIDE ON LIFE...Terri may want to LIVE with all of her HEART! To not defend that...is to go against the BILL OF RIGHTS of this NATION.

Third, who can blame Congress? This is a hot topic right now and seeing Terri Schiavo in the flesh would be interesting. She's something of a recluse now -- for some reason there's very little video of her.

#1. Terri's parents took over Terri's control in 1990. They quickly returned her to Rehab stating that her care was overwhelming to them. There is no reason to believe that 15 years later they are better able to care for her.
#2. And I quoted McCain at Pat Tillman's memorial service. It was a moving statement and completely supported President Bush's war on terror.
