Two Union soldiers from the American Civil War were posthumously awarded with the Medal of Honor by President Joe Biden on Wednesday, more than 160 years after being executed for their part in a daring mission against the Confederacy. “Private Philip G. Shadrach and Private George D. Wilson will receive the Medal of Honor posthumously for their gallantry and intrepidity while participating in a covert military operation 200 miles behind Confederate lines on April 12, 1862,” a White House official said Wednesday morning. “In one of the earliest special operations in US Army history, Union Soldiers dressed as civilians infiltrated...

Sen. John Fetterman doubled down in his support of President Biden after his ABC interview Friday, condemning efforts by his fellow Democrats to shove the octogenarian commander-in-chief out of the race. “Democrats need to get a spine or grow a set — one or the other. Joe Biden is our guy,” Fetterman said in a terse posting on X. The terse comment reiterated the Pennsylvania ragamuffin as a ride-or-die for Biden, even as a growing number of elected Democrats moved to abandon him after his disastrous debate against Donald Trump last week. “I’m unwilling to discard a great president, a...

Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), said President Biden will not be elected to another term “one way or another.” “Joe Biden can step aside for another candidate or lose in historic numbers in a few months — but one way or another he will not be President soon and this is something his family should start coming to terms with since they all seem to be living in a severe level of delusion,” McCain said in a post on social platform X Friday.

Swiss Bishop Eleganti: Vatican II contains ‘ambiguity,’ young Catholics love the Latin Mass‘Today's young believers, as I was able to see very well as a young bishop, know nothing about the (Second Vatican) council and are not interested in it. They have hardly read any of the texts, but feel attracted to the old liturgy,’ Bishop Marian Eleganti said.Personally, I do make a distinction between Vatican I, which presented an infallible dogmatization, and Vatican II, which avowedly wanted to be (only) a pastoral council. It is understandable that it wanted to incorporate the top statements of Vatican I into the...

A mob of looters ransacked an Oakland gas station convenience store and caused thousands of dollars in damage as the frustrated store manager claimed police took nine hours to respond to his plea for help. The horde, who had just attended a nearby car sideshow, broke into the 76 Station near the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, according to ABC 7 News Bay Area. Owner Sam Mardaie estimated approximately 80 to 100 people broke through his store’s front door and grabbed everything they could get their hands on.

VIDEOGeneral Mark Milley emphatically told Norah O'Donnell on 60 Minutes last year that it was not his place as a general to comment on Joe Biden's mental and physical health but in the next breath went full gaslighter by giving a glowing review of Biden's mental health. Included in this video is a stunning moment during Biden's interview with George Stephanopoulos that most people overlooked but reflects back on Milley the Gaslighter.

President Joe Biden walked before a row of flags and took his place at a lectern stamped with the presidential seal. A few feet in front of him, thin panes of teleprompter glass, programmed with prewritten remarks, were positioned to meet his stare as he spoke into a microphone that would carry his voice through a soundsystem. His White House press secretary looked on. So did several senior White House officials. Anxiety clung to the humid summer air. What the president was about to say might determine the future of his presidency and perhaps the Republic itself. Yet this was...

In 1915, the city of San Diego was in the midst of a drought, and it was willing to do just about anything... They'd heard tales of this "rain man," Charles Hatfield, so they enlisted his help to fill the reservoir with rainwater.Hatfield was so confident he could bring rain to the parched city that he secured a deal but agreed only to accept money for each inch of rain that he produced: $1,000 per inch, to be exact, up to 50 inches. For the council, this was a perfect deal. If Hatfield was a charlatan and produced no rain,...

During an interview with ABC News on Friday, President Joe Biden said that he realized he was doing poorly in last week’s presidential debate when he noticed that “even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off,” his opponent, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump, “was still shouting. And I let it distract me.” Biden elaborated that he isn’t blaming that for his performance, but that caused him to realize “that I just wasn’t in control.” ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked, “And how quickly did it come to you that you were having...

The comeback tour is on after Joe Biden announced he's staying in the race, and it's going about as well as you'd expect. By well, I mean it's an absolute catastrophe for his campaign. On Friday, the president showed up in Wisconsin to hold a "rally." The plan was simple. Have Biden yell from a teleprompter for a few minutes while appearing somewhat lucid. If he could pull that off, perhaps the White House would have the fodder necessary to push back on the current narrative about the president's senility. So yeah, that didn't happen. Biden was over an hour...

The President's personal physician and a nurse who coordinates his care scheduled the meetings with Dr. Kevin R. Cannard. Before last July, he had come only once during Joe Biden's administration. Dr. Kevin R. Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease specialist, has visited the White House at least nine times in the last year, official White House visitor logs show. The logs show Dr. Cannard traveled to the White House residence medical clinic each time. He met either with the president’s personal physician or the naval nurse who coordinates care for the president and other top officials, the logs show. Dr. Cannard’s...

On his first day in office, newly elected Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer reportedly scrapped the plan to send illegal boat migrants to Rwanda rather than putting them up in hotels in Britain. The scheme to send illegals to have their often spurious asylum claims in processing centres in the East African nation of Rwanda first put forward by ex-PM Boris Johnson in 2022 to deal with the migrant crisis in the English Channel has been abandoned by the left-wing Labour government on its first day, a party insider told The Telegraph.

I'm not sure why the Biden team keeps making the same mistake over and over again, seemingly thinking if they just get Joe out there more, they can convince people he's competent. That's a horrible strategy, as he only continues to make things worse. For example, with his ABC interview on Friday night, he needed to allay any fears, or why do it? Yet once again, he only dug the hole deeper, and it only made things worse. So, again, why do it?
