BOULEVARD PARK, Wash. — A masked customer attacked a Burien 7-Eleven clerk Sunday morning with a hatchet, slicing the clerk’s stomach. Police say another customer pulled out a gun and shot and killed the attacker. The good Samaritan had been sitting in the store, drinking his regular morning coffee.

On Thursday, 18 February, 2016, a robber and store clerk Seul Lim exchanged shots in Lim’s Pacific Quickmart.  The robber is believed to be Tyrone Prophet, Jr.Prophet is 23, Lim is 30.  Police believe that Prophet may have been involved in a string of armed robberies in the area, one of which involved a shooting of another clerk. PORT ORCHARD, Wash. – The Kitsap County Sheriff said that the remains of two people were found at a house destroyed in an explosion early Tuesday morning in Port Orchard. Detectives believe they are the homeowners, but says the coroner will determine identity. The first reports came in at 4:10 a.m. from the 3500 block of SE Soholt Lane. The explosion happened at a triple-wide mobile home, according to the sheriff's office. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

The downward slide continued for Colorado's coal industry in 2015, highlighted by production at Routt County's Twentymile Mine, which was down 38 percent.
