BREAKING - Child taken from home after man claimed he shot family

MASON COUNTY, Wash. - The Mason County Sheriff's Office confirms one child was taken from a home where police are in negotiations with a man who claims he shot his family.

Authorities report the man called 911 at 9:37 a.m. Friday, saying he shot his wife and children and was holding a gun to his head.

There are unconfirmed reports that one child escaped. KIRO 7 Chopper video showed someone being led to an ambulance, but we do not know who this person is at this time.

The sheriff's office says the child who was was taken from the outside of house was alive. He or she taken to the hospital for evaluation. When we have more information, we will share it.

During that incident about six months ago when the guy who owned the nurses’ website killed his family and himself, I read some psychiatric speculation that the suicidal guy was so twisted and egotistical that he couldn’t imagine that his family could live without him, so he had to do them in, as well.
