It strikes me as very curious that the perky Katie Couric couldn't come up with her own questions for Gov. Palin during her first interview with the newly minted VP nominee. Well, I guess she has a staff that does her thinking for her, but this one must have been out of their league. That is probably why they had to resort to has been dim functionaries like Sam Nunn. I'll bet Charlie Gibson did the same with his Bush Doctrine question. The bottom line is that Sarah Palin scares the hell out of the msm types, just like Ronald...

Another Worthless Vanity I know.. I work Nights, so I'll wake up, Download the Rush Podcast, and then Listen to it. I finish work up at 6:30 am Cst, so plenty of time to get to the Polls. One of my favorite things Rush does is the Tomorrow we meet at Dawn bit. None of the polls matter, none of the pundits mean sht, lie to the exist polsters, the real test is the Fight at the ballot box.You get out there and make the other poor b-stard lose the election! They thought they were getting hammered with calls before-wait until tomorrow. We need to know who helped right this decision. I am thinking that suppressing fax sender information through the courts is against the law. Very sloppy indeed. I want to know who contributed to this decision and why the information was left off the fax header. Apparently whoever did this, was too stupid to remove the time stamp.

We have all seen it before. A candidate with a thin resume actively sought out, feted and promoted, not because of impressive accomplishments, not because they are the best that can be found, but because of the color of their skin. A candidate that meets the minimum standards, but more importantly, meets the "politically correct" standards. Will Barrack Obama be the first Affirmative Action President?

I just want to say that there are too many stories on the blogosphere that would destroy Obama's chances of winning. One of them has to be true and one of them has to give... My question is which one will it be and when will it happen.. -Ed Hale is said to have 3 certified Kenyan Birth Certificates of Barrack Obama -There are now 4 court cases in 4 different states challenging the Obama campaign to produce documentation -There is a supposed taped call of Michelle Obama threatening African International. -There is a supposed "whitey" tape out there of...

Here's a thought. Take a day off from Free Republic in the next couple of weeks and spend it posting comments and replys on the MSM web-sites. I'd recommend the TV and newspaper sites that you think most independents will read. I try to take a little time out every day to leave a couple posts with links to stories the MSM refuses to cover. Anyway a lot-of-little goes a long way.

I don't normally post threads - but I had to get this off my chest. The doom and gloom on this board lately has been getting me down. It doesn’t look good for the Republicans at the moment, but all is not completely lost. On the bright side: 1. We know that the nationally reported polls are biased in Obama’s favor. Some of them are reporting Obama leading by huge margins. We know that this is not true. Obama is leading, but by a few percentage points only. Fact is that every presidential election is exactly the same – roughly...

Libs all across the internet are calling for his head after November 4th, why doesn't the McCain camp ask Joe to do this? I know it will be temporary, but it controls the news cycle for a few days, gives the Senate back to the Republicans(big slap in the face to Hairy Reed) and it gives Joe the last word before Hairy knees him in the groin Nov. 5th. If McCain doesn't get the job done tonight, hit em with it tomorrow!

This past week I flew to the Los Angeles area for business. My client purchased my airline tickets for me and made my hotel reservations. I told them I wanted a smoking room. They made reservations for me at a Hilton Garden Inn in Arcadia, and another at the Hilton on Century Blvd near LAX. When I checked into the place in Arcadia, they informed me that they were out of smoking rooms (which they knew I wanted), and that if I smoked in the room they gave me I would incur a $75 cleaning charge. Maybe they could switch...

About 22 percent of inmates have killed fellow prisoners in other correctional facilities; 35 percent have attempted to attack other prisoners or officers. As a result, most individuals are kept for at least 23 hours each day in solitary confinement. They are housed in a 7-by-12 foot (3.5-by-2 meter) soundproofed room, built behind a steel door and grate. The remaining free hour is spent exercising alone in a...

Recently, while enjoying some interesting discussion on a non-political Web site, I came across a poster found it necessary to interrupt the conversation with some worn far-left tripe about how the Bush Administration is using fear to control the brainwashed masses and take away our liberties. You know, because there's nothing else to do when you're President. Of course, once someone goes down that road, the inevitable "9/11 was staged" and "al Qaeda is run by the CIA" assertions come out (as this individual did), leaving you wondering when the individual will get around to alien abductions and Bigfoot. Then...

The debate between evolution and intelligent design seems endless – not only on this forum but on school boards, news forums, origin-of-life forums all over the web, and so on. Moreover it appears there is a trend in the mainstream media to equate intelligent design with “creationism” and also to declare it the “conservative” view, which implies a political motive. Perhaps the frequent repetition tactic is to characterize conservative voters leading into the next general election? If so, IMHO, we conservatives ought to be prepared with a ready response regardless of where we stand on the issue of evolution....

There has been ample discussion about whether and under what conditions an autop*y will be performed upon Terri. Putting aside the hopelessnness and resignation implicit in having reached this point in Terri's story, one important fact needs to be understood by those Freepers who are expecting that the procedure will provide damning details about Michael Schiavo. First, understand that Michael (ever the sociopath that he is) is expecting that vindication, not condemnation, will follow the results. And understand that he has reason to expect this. Here's why: at the level of gross anatomical observation, Terri's brain will show significant, massive...

I’m not proud of this, but the parallels to Michael Schiavo are undeniable. When I was eight years old my little sister Joan was barely three. She could talk but no one could understand her. I remember teasing the crap out of her just to see her reaction as she went to dad to tell him how badly I was treating her. His reaction? “What’s the matter, honey? I can’t understand you.” She would then come back to me and complain about my treatment of her. And, what did I do? I teased her some more. It was really funny...

I've been using Mozilla's Firefox browser all week, and it's GREAT... and it's FREE! I love it and recommend it highly. My pop-ups, freezing and general computer problems have pretty much disappeared. Mozilla I like having the Yahoo Game Channel up for NFL games. You get the stats, and within seconds, the current play. Just went there and here's the message: "In order to use the new NFL GameChannel, users will need Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher and a Windows operating system. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, you can check out our NFL scoreboard instead." From a...

President Elect's first computer analysis of the 2004 presidential race predicts that if the election were held now, Republican candidate George W. Bush would defeat Democratic candidate John Kerry. According to the computer, which takes into account current poll data, past elections, and state voting tendencies, Bush would win 283 electoral votes from 31 states, while Kerry would win 255 electoral votes from 19 states and DC. If "on the edge" states are not included, the count is Bush: 205, Kerry: 183, toss ups: 150
