My idea of an October suprise, Joe Lieberman should switch parties!

Posted on 10/15/2008 8:44:57 AM PDT by mark in iowa

Libs all across the internet are calling for his head after November 4th, why doesn't the McCain camp ask Joe to do this?

I know it will be temporary, but it controls the news cycle for a few days, gives the Senate back to the Republicans(big slap in the face to Hairy Reed) and it gives Joe the last word before Hairy knees him in the groin Nov. 5th.

If McCain doesn't get the job done tonight, hit em with it tomorrow!

He might as well. The Dems are gonna strip him of his chairmanship in January if they are still in power........

At a minimum, Lieberman should say he’s going to caucus with the GOP if the DEMs in the Senate try to pull a quick one after the election.

As long as our side can refrain from calling him a RINO at every turn until after the election.

I doubt it. Voters don’t like when pol’s switch parties like that.

He got elected as a left leaning Independent, so I’m sure he will continue to be that.

Joe needs to hit the condos in S FL again. Jesse Jackson’s son is the co-chair of Obama’s campaign. A vote for Obama is a vote for anti-semites.

If McCain doesn’t get the job done tonight, hit em with it tomorrow! ....................... The MSM, NPR PBS will say he lost no mater what. Those people supporting Obama are in a hypnotized trance they won’t come out of it no mater what McCain says or does. We can say that McCain screwed up if he does, but you will never hear an Obama supporter say that about their guy.

Would be nice, but Joe won’t caucus with us. He still thinks he is in with the RATS. Amazing, this is supposed to be a smart man. And maybe he is. He will be up for reelection in the near future and his State likes RATS.

After the comments from Jesse Jackson, he just might do it.

As it stands right now Lieberman is a pain in the ass for the Democrats. If he joins the GOP he is not only no longer their problem but to us he’ll be “just another RINO”.

It’s far better if JL remains an “independent Democrat”.

uhh,.... what?

While I could see Joe doing this as he's out of the majority anyway, but how on Earth is this any sort of "October Surprise"? i.e. how does this help McCain/Palin in any way other than a ten minute distraction?

Right.

With his tanked ACU voting resume he'd fit in nicely with the Republicrats.

Why he would make a very liberal RINO. We don’t need more of them.

Wimpy October Surprise.

Not sure how you think this is going to move voters one way or the other.

Furthermore, he is an extreme liberal and would be much more useful as an friendly Democrat than adding to the RINO woes of the GOP.

I think he helps McCain more as a D than an R, but I don't think swing voters really care either way.

Wouldn’t be a surprise because he has in all but voting to realign the Senate, which he should have done over a year ago. Too little too late on Joe’s part, but I still would urge him to R up his name now.

Thank you for your inane vanity post in the news forum. Since you’ve wasted my time already, here’s a response.

Liberals joining the Republican party (i.e. trading principles for numbers) is what got us into this mess int he first place.

What are you talking about? Reid already has a majority. Liberalman is probably already toast when the new Congress starts next year.
