Sorry for the vanity, but I wanted to get this out there in its own thread rather than go through and post it as a response on all of the threads on this subject. A number of media outlets have gone to great lengths today to point out that the e-mails in question that led to yesterday's announcement "weren't sent to or from Hillary Clinton." I've seen variations of this theme from many of these reports. It's important to note that this particular point is irrelevant, and the fact that there is so much focus on it tells me that...

Ted Cruz has shot himself in the foot big time with his ill thought out ranting about hating New Yorkers. It's the same kind of rant that someone would make about "Red Necks" in any southern state, ill advised and unacceptable. The Cruz verbage is proof that Cruz will do or say anything true or untrue to gain power and control. He is really not-too-bright-in-th brain-department. He is far from Presidential material!!! For goodness sake....the fool, Ted Cruz, has no clue as to how he is being used by the GOP Establishment for "their" purposes, not his. Does anyone really...
  • Exposing Cruz on Immigration [arthur march vanity]

A brilliant female author pointed out that no issue is more urgent right now than immigration. In a word: checkmate. It affects voter fraud, voter disenfranchizement, free speech, terrorism, fiscal responsibility, and ultimately even the federal judiciary. And to expose Cruz on this issue I must first deconstruct the Big Lie he's been hiding behind. How many times have you heard that Trump is just a latecomer on immigration? People who repeat that malicious slander actually mean well for the USA. Cruz reshapes their own patriotism like a political 'plastic explosive' to spread hatred and and lies. Trump's books consistently...

  • VANITY: Definition of "Carpet Bombing"

    01/28/2016 8:23:46 PM PST · by TigerClaws · 29 replies
Carpet bombing, also known as saturation bombing, is a large aerial bombing done in a progressive manner to inflict damage in every part of a selected area of land.[1][2][3][4] The phrase evokes the image of explosions completely covering an area, in the same way that a carpet covers a floor. Carpet bombing is usually achieved by dropping many unguided bombs. The term obliteration bombing is sometimes used to describe especially intensified bombing with the intention of destroying a city or a large part of the city.[5] The term area bombing refers to indiscriminate bombing of an area,[5] and also encompasses...

Since the holiday break, Cruz campaign donation solicitations have been ubiquitous. Today I received a phone solicitation. The caller was very polite and in that respect represented the Cruz campaign well. The spiel was that if I donate any amount, no matter how little, it would be tripled by some other donor. I asked who that other donor is, and that I was concerned if that person gave three times as much as I did, they'd have three times the impact. The caller said he'd check with an advisor and get back to me.He did so. The answer was that for...

And to no surprise, we haven't and probably wont hear from John Kerry regarding this record cold/arctict outbreak that is gradually wreaking havoc in a very cold way throughout Central America and spreading. Now, didn't "Secretary Of State" claim to all of us that "Global Warming/Climate Change is real"?. Maybe John Kerry needs to make another "Global Warming Speech" somewhere in Colorado, Oklahoma, Montana and maybe even Northern Texas, and then explain his theory that we are experiencing Global Warming As We Speak !!.

What better way to fight fire with fire.Being the Democrats want to run against income inequality, why not have GOP candidates run on the same issue, and call it "Democrat Caused Income Inequality",and just keep running ads showing the nation how their policies have caused every economic hardship over half the nation has been bearing since 2008.And this will be along with the failure of Obama-Care. Then this would put the rats in a tailspin for the next two years.

The GOP attacks on Palin.   After the Inauguration of Obama, the first time that the manhood of the GOP was called into question was the Stimulus package.  Rick Santelli was so upset with it that he issued his now famous diatribe calling for something like a national tea party.  A long simmering emotion within conservative ranks now had a name. Meanwhile, back in Alaska, Sarah Palin's return to work involved dealing with these stimulus package issues, and she did what she felt that she must.  She took those which were appropriate, but turned away those that weren't.  This was...

I recently posted an article suggesting that Mchele Bachmann's candidacy, and its impact on Sarah Palin, is reminiscent of the 1980 candidacy of Phil Crane, which Ronald Reagan considered a threat to his nomination: Is Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin's Phil Crane? LINKAs I point out in the article linked above, Crane never really thought he had a chance for the nomination, and he was content to have one of the moderates (Baker or Bush) get the nomination in hopes that they would install Crane as the Vice-Presidential nominee. I did not explore some of the reasons why Crane's belief was...

Romney is moving left on global warming and staying the course on Romneycare and you will see him take his natural left positions on other issues as the campaign gets underway. On the day of the release of “Undefeated”, the new Sarah Palin movie, The Stakes are high indeed It’s an amazing, somewhat frightening time that we live in today. We are witnessing the slow but steady collapse of the US economic system that’s been in place since the end of WW2. Does anyone really think that gas prices won’t continue to rise? Energy prices won’t “necessarily skyrocket”? Housing prices won’t continue to crater? Foreclosures won’t continue to blight the entire housing market? On the World stage, the Arab Spring has become a scary echo of Europe circa 1938, with Jews...

As even the pundits are beginning to acknowledge, their two year long campaign to keep Sarah Palin out of the 2012 Presidential election has failed. She is going to run. Even the likes of Karl Rove acknowledge it at this point. Their strategy for stopping her will now shift in focus, but it will remain essentially the same. Smear and distract. The Establishment of both parties will continue the relentless ad hominems against her that have so far fallen like spent bullets at her feet. I have been a casual observer of polls for over three decades, since early 1979 (about the same time in the 1980 election cycle as we find ourselves in the 2012 cycle) when Jimmy Carter was posting a 57-35 lead over Ronald Reagan in the respected Gallup poll. Carter maintained double digits leads over Reagan throughout 1979 and even into the spring of 1980, as the March 31, 1980 edition of time observed. ("National opinion polls continue to show Carter leading Reagan by an apparently comfortable margin of about 25%.") Early polls of general election contests (19 months out) are...

Governor Palin must be the GOP nominee because of energy. Energy will arguably be the top issue facing America in 2012. The rise in fuel prices also brings about a rise in commodity and food prices, as those products are trucked, shipped, and flown to their destinations. I work in transportation logistics, and I can tell you first hand that fuel prices are so high, drivers for most of the carriers my account is contracted to are refusing to haul freight unless they get additional money for fuel. There are over 6,000 products made from petroleum. Here is a partial...

Over at a couple of days ago I went out on a limb in response to a skeptic that felt Sarah Palin would not run for POTUS in 2012 and suggested that I could name 50 reasons why Sarah Palin would run for President. Well as I am a person of my word here are those 50 reasons, some understandable and some a little more obscure. As 2012 approaches, the State of the Union is grave indeed. Our economy is principally threatened by an explosion of federal spending which, if left unchecked, will bury us all in a red inked sea of hyper-inflation, chronic double digit unemployment and shortages. The America we grew up in will cease to exist. Two things seem to me to be essential: 1) A leader with a steel spine who is both principled and fearless in attacking the Leviathan and all its shibboleths; and 2) A platform, a mandate and policies that will both starve and neuter the federal government. I have two concerns that I think the tea parties should NOT become (we should fight these anyway). 1. they should not primarily become movements to support the Republican Party, alone, and for Republicans to regain political power (though that doesn't preclude any one member or a group from supporting Republicans where they agree with US). 2. These tea parties are not about any ONE individual, either to demonize or for one person (or organization) to "lead", they are about citizenship leadership, spontaneity, and just FED UP Americans, we can not allow any one person to become leader to "dictate"...

If anything, McCain hurt Bush with his constant obstruction because of his bitterness for the 2000 primary outcome. McCain-Feingold was the ultimate "came back to bite him in the butt" logic, and this sort of stubbornness by McCain also took out a chunk of the Republican party along with it. Lost in the 2008 pre-election hysteria was a sobering piece of news out of Iraq. It was revealed, after a precisely-executed plan to maintain secrecy and prevent disclosure, that 550 Tons of Yellow Cake Uranium were shipped out of Iraq to Canada. Why is this event so spectacular? It proved beyond the wildest dreams of even the staunchest skeptic, that Saddam Hussein was clearly pursuring a Weapons of Mass Destruction program, and debunks the chorus of "Bush Lied" accusations from the Democrats. Occasionally people mistake me for a retired professor, not encouraged; more often they think I'm a poor speller; in an earlier life I was one of the first kicked off for excessive vanities and pled my way back on (something I'm still unproud of); this weekend I became for the first time a sports nut; not sports in general but one underrated, unappreciated team resurrected by an audacious break with political correctness, rescued by a frustrated coach and victorious climaxes.
  • My plea to undecideds and people voting third party

I am pleading with people who may have decided not to vote McCain because of the screwed up policies that were not conservative to please reconsider and vote for him. Obama is too far left and I don't believe our country could ever bounce back from him being president. I would also vote third party if I didn't see the danger involved with Obama being president. I do not favor amnesty and I know both guys favor it. But McCain is in favor of securing our border, while Obama calls ICE agents terriorists.
