I'm interested in a 9mm or slightly smaller quality handgun that has a stock laser pointer. Comfortable carry and the laser are equally important.

Jan 18, 2013: I cannot take people any more. They are all so evil. I need to slaughter 100's of them. How shall I do it? Well, I could use gasoline, and block entrances to a building. I could concoct some form of poisonous gas and introduce it into a ventilation system. I could create an explosive and collapse a building. No, none of those ways are too good. I think I must use a firearm. Jan 18, 2013: I purchased my firearm. It looks very scary, and it is black. It is a rifle. Now to purchase hi-capacity magazines....

Please sign this petition at: WHITE HOUSEHi Everyone, Good news! It looks like we will hit the 25,000 signatures needed on our Whitehouse.gov petition that will require President Obama or his staff to answer. Bad news! The anti-gun petition is being fueled by the mainstream media and is up over 160,000 signatures. It is a record for the petition system since it began. The second place petition is also anti-gun and currently has over 30,000 signatures. ~snip~
  • Repubs Need to Take the Lead on Newtown CT

    12/19/2012 11:02:58 AM PST · by fruser1 · 21 replies
It took about a whopping 5 secs for the left to politicize this mass murder for their gun control purposes. Most of the talk on the right has been on the defensive, justifying the 2nd ammendment in reaction to those efforts. My opinion is that these events are averted by a stronger civil defense, not fewer guns or more police. Allowing folks to carry would provide that. How about the repubs take the lead and push for concealed carry rights across the 50 states? This should be easy, legally, given the Heller decision. If there's ever a Repub exec in...

Charles Schultz was rather shrewd with his cartoon strips of Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown to kick. Nothing encapsulates and mocks better the chicanery of the political processes of our government. Of course Nancy Pelosi is Lucy. Or it could be Harry Reid or Obama or any democrat or media hack. They draw lines in the sand just to draw another when stepped across. The ball will always be yanked on our republican Charlie Browns. Boehner is our Charlie Brown of the moment. Surely, Lucy won’t yank the ball if I propose the same taxes on the rich...

Most people would agree: ours is a nation deeply divided; probably no more bitterly divisive issue than firearms and gun rights. The Declaration of Independence says “…that to secure these rights governments are instituted among men…” Governments are actually supposed to protect and enhance a person’s rights, not take away rights from citizens or make the exercise of that right more difficult. Isn’t this the land of the free and the home of the brave? The gun owner who says “My firearm has killed fewer people than Ted Kennedy’s car” is correct! If an alien were to land in America,...
  • Which is the "Assault Rifle(TM)"?

    12/19/2012 4:59:48 AM PST · by varmintman · 19 replies
There are basically two definitions of an assault weapon, i.e. a political and a military definition. The political definition is basically just anything which, on a scale of one to ten for being scary looking to demokkkrats, rises much over about a five or a six... The real military definition is more complex. Most assume a weapon has to be at least semi-automatic and preferably automatic to quality but, in real life, that's not really necessary. In fact in real life, most people attempting to fire any military weapon in full auto mode will never hit anything with it. What...

Dear Principal or Headmaster, I am sure you are as grieved and upset as I am over recent events. I would like to know (I am writing to all of my children's schools): Do you have a policy regarding the use of force, including all necessary and legal force, to defend the children who attend your school in the event of danger? If so, what is it? If not, why not, and what is being done to develop such a policy? Sincerely,

Historically, the world’s worst gun violence against fellow citizens has overwhelmingly occurred when the military and police forces of would be tyrants were not balanced by an adequately armed citizenry.

We're ( The U.S.) going in the direction of Europa in every other facet of our existence. This is most definitely the next step and those of us responsible gun owners that revolt or even balk will be the lunatics in grave need of sensitivity training, intense scrutiny, and re-education at the VERY least. I wonder what type of psychotropic drugs this guy was on. You DO realize that there is a very small percent of all of the shootings of this type in which the perpetrators were NOT under the care of a mental healthcare provider. I say re-direct...

President Obama tonight will speak at an interfaith vigil as part of his visit to Newtown, CT for families of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School. President Obama traveled to Newtown, CT earlier today to meet with the families of those who were lost and to thank first responders. On Friday, the President made a statement to the press on the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn. A total of 20 children are among the 26 dead. The gunman also died at the scene. The President said that it is time for the country to “take meaningful action” after...
  • Vanity - No Christmas at Newtown schools

    12/16/2012 12:46:06 PM PST · by rochester · 1 replies
It's interesting to note that that a quick search on the Newtown school district website (http://www.newtown.k12.ct.us) yields no results when searching for the word "Christmas". Also, the site for the Newtown High School itself (http://newtown.nhs.schooldesk.net) contains a rather lengthy list of of its clubs and organizations. Nowhere on the list is mention of any kind of Christian student organization, although there is a "Gay/Straight Alliance". If, indeed, the Christian message has been effectively purged from this school district, it would be very sad.

  • Jamie Foxx Gets His Wish--Why Are People Upset?

From what I can determine, the majority of people killed at the Connecticut elementary school by nut-bag Adam Lanza were white. So I don't get all of the hand-wringing. I mean, wasn't it just last week-end on SNL when Jamie Foxx intoned, “. . . I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that?” I don't recall any outrage from the Left or MSM in response to that comment. But now that it's starting to happen, the same folks who gave Foxx a pass are decrying the act and wanting to take the guns of law-abiding...

Like most people, I was repulsed to hear about the murder of innocent children by a lunatic in Connecticut. While I understand a crime of this magnitude probably warrants a response, if only in rhetoric, by the federal government, I also wondered why other less "visible" deaths are ignored. Look, we FREEPers publish almost on a weekly basis some story or stories about innocent people dying because of the action of someone in these states ILLEGALLY. We also recognize that every day, with no real medical necessity, innocent babies are torn from the womb of their mothers. These actions happen...

Everyone should be appalled at the killings which occurred in Connecticut yesterday. There is nothing more evil than a person who would harm innocent children - whether out of hate for an individual or group, or for an ideology. A prayer for the victims and mourning families is the appropriate first response. The second response should be to make sure it never happens again. There is no question that firearms were involved. We will all learn more about the types of weapons, how they were used, and when and where they were purchased. But less than 24 hours after the...
