Andrea Tantaros won’t be on Fox News Channel for the time being. TVNewser got a tip earlier today regarding Tantaros. When we reached out to FNC, they sent us this statement: “Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off. She is still under contract with the network.” Tantaros was last on Outnumbered on Monday. She got a shout-out Monday evening on The Five for her new book, Tied Up in Knots: How Getting What We Wanted Made Women Miserable. Tantaros was scheduled to call in to Bill Cunningham‘s...

Well this doesn’t look good — a day after ABC announced Michael Strahan’s departure from “Live! With Kelly and Michael” to join “Good Morning America” full time, co-host Kelly Ripa was nowhere to be found. Instead, Strahan showed up with substitute host Ana Gasteyer, formerly of the network’s “Suburgatory” and a guest star on “The Goldbergs.” “Kelly’s off today,” Strahan said briskly, introducing Gasteyer to the screaming fans in the audience.

We have surrendered our most primary weapon - our minds Back in ‘86 I saw Oliver Stone’s graphically intense ‘Platoon’. It was opening in a brand new theater with a screaming sound system that made you feel as though you were in the center of the battle. Sitting right across the aisle were two well-dressed, young, absolutely moronic parents who had their son sitting between them. He could not have been more than five. Stone’s ultra-intense Vietnam War masterpiece had the audience thoroughly keyed up. Roaring artillery and wholesale slaughter were coming from every direction without warning. The poor little...

Doris Roberts, beloved mother on Everybody Loves Raymond, died on Sunday of natural causes at the age of 90. An actress of film, stage and television, Roberts will be remembered as an instantly recognizable character actor who had portrayed many memorable roles. Though born in St. Louis, Missouri, Roberts spent her childhood in the Bronx in New York City. Her acting career began during the 1950s on Broadway and in television with a 1952 role in Studio One. Roberts landed more television roles in the early 1960s, appearing in episodes of Suspense (1952), Way Out (1961), The Naked City (1962,...

Forgive my vanity in suggesting the best way for Donald Trump to counter the negatives that the Leftist media & globalist business interests appear bent on exploiting, to defeat his candidacy in November. But there is a relatively simple way for him to accomplish several goals with one relatively simple stroke; several goals simply by the effective use of program length television & radio. Consider the false narrative being promoted by various business groups, insistent on an imagined need for their version of both "free trade" & "liberal immigration" policy; a false narrative being given great currency in the media....

Sen. Bernie Sanders remains a darling of the far left on the political spectrum. But, according to Politico, he has one politically incorrect position that has proven to be a vulnerability. Coming from a rural state, Vermont, he is considered to be soft on guns, from the point of view of his fellow Democrats. He opposes a bill that would make firearms manufacturers responsible for the use of their products in the commission of a crime. Sanders fellow senator, Kristin Gillibrand of New York, broke down and cried about the issue and begged Sanders to change his position for the...

The creators of "Game of Thrones" have revealed President Barack Obama received advanced access to the hotly anticipated sixth season because, well, you don't turn down a request from POTUS. ....The creators told interviewer Veronica Belmont that, yes, they sent Obama episodes early because "he's the leader of the free world." Benioff added: "When the commander in chief says, 'I want to see advanced episodes' -- what are ya gonna do?" The two also discussed the upcoming season being "the first time we really moved beyond the end point of the books" by George R.R. Martin and the freedom that...

Feminist actress and comedian Lena Dunham, who falsely portrayed herself as a victim of sexual assault in her 2014 memoir, flashed her genitals on HBO’s Girls on Sunday. In the episode titled “Hello Kitty,” Dunham’s character Hannah, who is a teacher, sat down with her school’s principal to discuss a series of complaints lodged against her.

Just thinking about the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy worked on an assembly line in a candy factory brings a smile to my face. Remembering the family spirit and wholesomeness of other shows like Father Knows Best, Leave It to Beaver, and The Donna Reed Show still warms my heart. These classic television programs made us laugh and cry without the sex and violence that is so commonly associated with television today. No wonder the interest in TV nostalgia is growing by leaps and bounds. Many of us enjoy revisiting the quality programs from the 50's, 60's, and 70's....

Move over, Judge Judy. There's a new TV courtroom judge coming to town – and it's none other than former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The onetime vice presidential candidate has been tapped to preside over a new reality court show that would premiere next year. She signed a deal in February with Montana-based production company Warm Springs, a source close to the process tells PEOPLE. "It's a production deal," the source explains. "What happens next is she'll meet with stations, make a pilot and sell it." Warm Springs first approached Palin with the idea in 2015 and has since put...

By Staff Published Saturday, March 12, 2016 A Moroccan man who believed he had buried his wife who was killed in a road accident two years ago is shocked to learn that she has appeared on a television programme, according to media reports. He had buried his wife in 2014 after doctors in Casablanca informed she had succumbed to her injuries. But recently his friends spotted her on a TV programme, which helps reunite ‘lost’ families, where she was allegedly appealing to help find her husband, reported a news website. She reportedly gave his name and address and claimed that...

I'm sick of talking about politics today. I was wondering if anyone has been watching House of Cards and noticed that it looks like the show is jumping the shark. The original Brit version was only 12 one hour episodes and was nice and succinct. The new one is 4 seasons of 13 episodes now. I was hoping they would end it this season but apparently the show has fallen into the "milk it for all it's worth" mode. From the blurb on the last episode it's obvious that they are going to do yet another season. Well, this year...

The Chinese government has clamped down on the country's entertainment industry, banning depictions of sex, homosexuality, witchcraft and one night stands from television programs. The South China Morning Post reported the crack down on online and television shows was part of the new General Principle of Television Drama Production Content, which was released in December. Also banned are programs showing extra-marital affairs, the use of drugs or alcohol, teenage relationships, fighting, smoking and programs that promote superstitions, like witchcraft. Among the popular programs pulled was an online series called Addiction (also known as Heroin), which depicts gay love, and Go Princess Go,...

We all accept commercials as a necessary evil because they pay for the TV shows we watch. But, how much is commercial time is reasonable to accept? This question was answered for me while watching a 2004 episode of Star Trek Enterprise. The commercials came so often and lasted so long that is was almost impossible to maintain a sense of continuity with the show. This situation got me wondering about how much the percentage of time given to a show is lost to commercials has increased over the years.
