Sen. Bernie Sanders remains a darling of the far left on the political spectrum. But, according to Politico, he has one politically incorrect position that has proven to be a vulnerability. Coming from a rural state, Vermont, he is considered to be soft on guns, from the point of view of his fellow Democrats. He opposes a bill that would make firearms manufacturers responsible for the use of their products in the commission of a crime. Sanders fellow senator, Kristin Gillibrand of New York, broke down and cried about the issue and begged Sanders to change his position for the sake of his political stance and his immortal soul

Well, I'm sure there are a lot of gun owners in Vermont. It probably wouldn't play too well there to be entirely anti-second amendment.

Why not just go after the ammunition manufacturer? After all, it was the bullet that did the ultimate damage.

Maybe I shouldn't give the whackos any ideas...

I wonder if these people would support a law that would hold car manufacturers (Ford, Chevrolet etc.) responsible for DWI/DUI deaths?

If Bonnie and Clyde rob a bank and use a Ford getaway car, is Ford responsible?

How ‘bout we hold politicians liable for their (failure to uphold) ‘laws’, no statute of limitations? Unfort., non-election isn’t a real ‘killer’ when it comes to them violating the Constitution and/or our Rights.

This is too funny. That bill is already DOA, since the courts have repeatedly struck down those kind of laws. So they are bullying him to adopt a pointless stance that will accomplish nothing.
