Used to love archive but http://free-classic-tv-shows.com/ is much better organized.
Archive’s new “mobile” layout is awful for me. Though those with mobile devices may like it.
Oh, I always like vintage-tv. Especially the old westerns. It’s such a refreshing respite from the vomitous sleaze, moron-level stupidity, and the sheer putridness of our modern popular culture.
And now, it’s an even greater, more refreshing respite from the vomitous sleaze, moron-level stupidity, and sheer putridness of our modern political culture.
You said a mouthful. I despise what is passed off as entertainment today.
Oh my gosh, Your Hit Parade of 1954, #1 was Mr. Sandman.
Bookmark.
Mr. Sandman, send me a dream.... Yes, Your Hit Parade. How much is that doggie in the window, the one with the waggily tail Patti Page was seen and Gisèle MacKenzie are two remembered. Many more singers came out of that area rising to greater heights. And let us not forget, Rosemary Clooney.
Thank you for that link. A number of sites have been moved or changed completely in the Classic TV category. Tims TV Showcase once once a site filled with information on the old TV networks, shows and other things. Now find it has been changed into a site sporting gun talk. NOT my bag of tea :-)) Fortunately, it is seen in the wayback machine in a shadow of its glory
TIMS TV SHOWCASE- last check on August 2014 is was the original, but today, its GUNS!

Thank goodness for the Wayback Machine.
PS- Haven’t ‘seen’ you since that Crazy Cake was made, the one I tweaked just a bit using the recipe you shared. It turned out good enough to eat :-))
I hooked up an antenna to my tv and we get 10 or more channels with great old shows and westerns. Love having no cable bill and my kids see less gay propaganda!
The digital picture is so sharp. And no one is needed to stand there holding the rabbit ear. :-)) Samsung smart TV and Roku is just about all we need to be happy. Don’t by a Sony They have turned to crap. Sony monitor purchased, the on/off switch stopped working and the dam thing would turn off automatically. Sony TV purchased (before the monitor went bye bye) and that begin to act like the poltergeist movie TV reception. lines thru the picture, the noise of a hum in the audio. It is now sitting in another room awaiting removal to a Good Will, Salvation Army location the next time we’re in the area.

We’ll never need to go to the movie theater ever again :-))
I’ve been listening to a lot of old time radio on XM.
It’s taken a little getting used to William Conrad as Marshall Dillon on radio Gunsmoke but I’ve learned to like it.
