How hard can it be to send a rocket into space?...What we want to know is how big of a rocket can we make? We're going to start out with a simple toy like this, but then we're going to ramp that up to the biggest and nastiest thing we can whip up in three weeks. After all, it's only rocket science.

Apple watches are displayed following an Apple eventMarch 9, 2015. REUTERS ZURICH (Reuters) - Apple is not able to launch its new smartwatch in Switzerland until at least the end of this year because of an intellectual property rights issue, Swiss broadcaster RTS reported on its website. The U.S. tech giant cannot use the image of an apple nor the word "apple" to launch its watch within Switzerland, the home of luxury watches, because of a patent from 1985, RTS reported, citing a document from the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. The document, reprinted on the RTS website, was...

    Christian Post ^ | 04/04/2015 | Sami K. Martin
"A.D. – The Bible Continues" premieres on Sunday, April 5, to coincide with the Easter holiday. It's a time of celebration for Christians, and the new series from Mark Burnett and Roma Downey captures the turmoil and emotions of those witnesses to the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. The series opens with the final moments of Jesus' life played out: charges of blasphemy brought by the High Priest, Pontius Pilate washing his hands of accountability in Jesus' death, and the crucifixion. Viewers are introduced to a man desperately trying to spare his own life in the midst of...

National Geographic's adaptation of Bill O-Reilly book Killing Jesus recently debuted to record-breaking 3.7 million viewers. The telecast would be all-time highest rated telecast. Killing Jesus was aired as a three-hour special which chronicled the events leading up to death of the Jesus Christ. The book was released in September 2013 and till now it has sold more than 6.8 million copies. The Guardian's Selina O'Grady called Killing Jesus "a breathy retelling of the gospel stories by two conservative Catholics, one of whom, O'Reilly, believes that he was inspired to write the book by the Holy Ghost." The telecast will...

A Brief Review of the Recent CNN Documentary and Further Comments on the Medieval Photograph Theory I personally hate to write reviews of television programs and usually leave them for others to do, but after weeks of media hype and the controversy created after this program aired, I felt compelled to write a brief review of CNN’s latest “docudrama” on the Shroud of Turin, which premiered Sunday, March 1, 2015, as the first episode in their six part “Finding Jesus” series. For the sake of transparency, I should first disclose that STERA, Inc. was paid a modest licensing fee by...

It may be time to light the lights. ABC is filming a proof of concept for a revival of The Muppets, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady is co-writing the script for a pilot presentation that sources say could be unspooled at May's upfront presentation to Madison Avenue advertisers. Sources tell THR that the project, if all goes well, could go straight to series. Bob Kushell (Anger Management, 3rd Rock From the Sun) will also co-write and is attached to serve as showrunner, with Wilfred's Randall Einhorn attached to exec produce and direct the...

Lucille Ball’s hometown, just outside Jamestown in western New York, erected a life-size statue to honor the beloved actress — but now it has some explaining to do. Many take issue with the sculptor’s unflattering depiction of the “I Love Lucy” star. A self-described “big fan of Lucy’s” from Jamestown thinks the statue needs to be replaced with one befitting the comedy legend. “Lucille Ball was not only an amazing comedienne, but she was a stunning beauty. Her sense of humor only made her more beautiful,” he said in an interview with Yahoo News. “This statue looks nothing like the...

Our first bona-fide epic at the DfB Theater. Stanley Baker and Michael Caine star in this masterful tale of The Battle of Rorke's Drift (1879), where a mission station of 150 British soldiers faced off a force of 4,000 Zulu warriors. In widescreen format, HQ image.

Earlier this month we reported the official Star Wars canon would get its first LGBT character in the form of Moff Mors. She makes her debut in Paul S. Kemp‘s upcoming novel Star Wars: Lords of the Sith next month — but it seems her presence might ultimately stretch beyond the books. According to a new rumor, Moff Mors will make the leap to the big screen in one of the spinoffs, and might even appear in a live-action series. More on the LGBT Star Wars character’s possible screen debut after the jump. The report comes from Cinelinx. They’re the same...

In 2008 Sarah Palin was "Overpacking" stadiums. Cruz recently filled a 15/16,000 seat arena. Paul and Rubio are also going to fill their arenas. But Jeb Bush? Anyone have any suggestions? Can he really fill a 15K to 18K stadium in the fashion that Sarah Palin did for weeks? He can try, but at this point, maybe a 3000 seater high school auditorium.

Former Top Gear presenter says being sacked by the BBC was a ‘wake-up call’ as he joins host of celebrities backing climate change campaign The disgraced former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has become the latest celebrity to support the Guardian’s campaign for fossil fuel divestment. Following what he described as a “dark night of the soul”, Clarkson said he hoped to “regain the trust of the British public” by dedicating his time and financial resources to sustainable energy, road safety and forging mutual understanding and tolerance between people of different cultures and religions. The 54-year-old said that the “fracas”...

Matthew Weiner recently found an email in his inbox from 2006, inviting him to join “a new service called Gmail”. It had arrived in the middle of filming the pilot episode of his TV series Mad Men, and stumbling across it gave him pause to reflect on the past nine years. “Back then, there was no iPhone, no Ipad, no online streaming, and none of us had ever heard of Twitter,” he says. “I felt a sense of anxiety about all that has changed, and it’s that same sense that I have often felt and projected onto whatever was happening...
  • Debbie Wasserman Decides Not To Run For Senate.Guess She Was Afraid Of Allen West?

Now why did Congresswoman Wasserman change her mind about two weeks ago? Was she looking at the polls? Reading the Tea-Leaves? Just found out that she was the number one laughing stock for Florida? Or maybe the possibility that Allen West is considering running? Now that would of been a debate the entire country would of loved to have seen. Allen West VS Debbie Wasserman would of been a mirror image of Ted Cruz VS Warren or Hillary. A Bloodbath!

It all started innocently enough. Way back in Season 2. In the second episode 'Bloodletting' we learn from Daryl that his brother was a drug dealer before the walkers came. Taking out a plastic bag with Merle's stash to bring down T-Dog's fever, viewers can clearly see Blue Sky just laying in the bottom of the bag. Laurence Fishburne, call your mother. I hate to be the one to break the news. But the woman who gave life to the talented actor, who said she emptied her retirement savings account so her only child would grow into a star, director, producer and playwright, claims she’s down on her luck. Hattie Crawford Fishburne, 80, told me that, unable to pay the rent for several months, she’s received written notice informing her she’ll be evicted from her Los Angeles apartment Tuesday. And she said she can’t reach her wealthy son, with whom she last spoke more than a year...
  • Watching "Killing Jesus"

I just watched "Killing Jesus". To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I found it unbearable. I understand adding pieces between the lines to flesh out the story for TV, but totally re-writing the Bible is beyond the pale. The stories of John the Baptist death, the trial before Pilot, and especially Judas and the 30 pieces of silver are totally rewritten, and the original was much better. I saw no one in this film worthy of worship, much less praise. Sorry, O'Reilly - You missed the mark on this one.
