Our first bona-fide epic at the DfB Theater. Stanley Baker and Michael Caine star in this masterful tale of The Battle of Rorke's Drift (1879), where a mission station of 150 British soldiers faced off a force of 4,000 Zulu warriors.
In widescreen format, HQ image.

I'm posting a day early because I'm heading out of town tomorrow for the Easter weekend, and also because after all the crud that's happened this week, I'm thinking we all need a good movie to take our minds of things.
I just love this film. It's gorgeously shot and well-acted, and contains some of the best done battle scenes I've had the pleasure to watch in a film. I don't think Sun Tzu himself could have written the use of feint and deception in warfare more smartly than Zulu does. 8.5/10
This will be my last thread of the week. May you all have a wonderful Easter or Passover. See you next week!

Behind Casablanca, Zulu is the next best movie ever made. I loved the narrator’s touch, classy. Much about this movie was researched before filming.
