End the 17th Amendment, and take away power from Washington DC The new class of United States Senators like John McCain, the ones taking on the Swamp in the Republican Party, want to put an end to the Third House, the special interests, the K and J Street lobbies which put their individual, perverse interests at the direct expense of the American citizenry. As a reminder, here is the text of the 17th Amendment:

Who in the Capitol will demand that feminist, social justice activist, Sen. Nancy Skinner of Berkeley step down for her hypocritical, perhaps illegal, and anti-woman actions? The California Legislature has declared and legislated sex “a contractual event,” and redefined consensual sexual relations as “rape” if it occurs on a college campus—but not in their own offices. Perhaps lawmakers should have turned their attention inward to their own Capitol offices where lawmakers have been accused of a great deal of non-contractual sexual events. Headlines Monday by KTLA screamed, “San Fernando Valley Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra to Resign Next Year Amid Sexual Harassment...

Polish the tarnished reputation of the permanently beleaguered Clinton Foundation While Hillary Dreams of Earth 2 ‘Presidency’ Bill’s in Puerto Rico boosting publicity for Clinton Foundation While the too-mad-to-just-go-away Hillary Clinton fantasized about departing Mother Earth for Earth 2, a planet she imagines faces the same issues as the actual Earth, where she can at last call herself El Presidente, she’ dispatched hubby Bill on the earthly assignment of boosting publicity for the beleaguered Clinton Foundation in Puerto Rico. Too bad Hillary’s Earth 2 presidency is only imaginary and will last only long enough as a zany cover for what...

An NRA commentator and former Navy SEAL stands up for the right to bear an AR-15 despite the negative sentiment that media is portraying the AR. Former Naval special warfare operator Dom Rasso speaks in the short video from the National Rifle Association. Rasso says if the founding fathers had known about the AR-15 they “wouldn’t have rewritten the Second Amendment — they would’ve fortified it in stone because they knew the only way for us to stay free was by having whatever guns the bad guys have.” Supporting that the AR platform is accurate and reliable, Rasso also adds,...

Donald Trump would not win the presidential election if it were held today because of the numerous sexual allegations against him and the “Me Too” movement that has swept the country in recent weeks, Democratic Congresswoman Jackie Speier said Sunday. More than a dozen women came forward during last year’s presidential campaign to accuse Trump of sexual assault or harassment. He was also caught on an infamous “Access Hollywood” recording bragging about sexually assaulting women. Yet, just weeks later, he was elected president following a victory over Hillary Clinton. However, in the wake of a wave of women coming forward...

Apple’s vice president of diversity and inclusion will be stepping down at the end of the year after outrage over comments she made claiming white men can still bring diverse viewpoints to the workplace. According to Quartz, at the One Young World Summit in October, Denise Young Smith spoke about her efforts to increase diversity at Apple. Instead of saying she specifically tries to recruit people based on their race and gender, Young Smith said, “I focus on everyone.†“Diversity is the human experience. I get a little bit frustrated when diversity or the term diversity is tagged to the...

While many human workers fear that they will ultimately be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI), it's more likely that our current workforce will shift into new types of roles for people, according to a new report from professional services company Cognizant. "In the future, work will change but won't go away," the report stated. "Work will continue to be core to our identities, our nature, our dreams and our realities. But it won't necessarily be the work we know or do now." Work has always changed as technology advances, the report noted, with positions such as switchboard operators, lamplighters, and...

At Kent State University in Ohio, two left-wing student clubs—the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) and the Socialist Collective (SC)–rejected a challenge from Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to see which organization could gather the most food for poor people in a campus-wide canned food drive. YDSA chapter co-chair, Ethan Comeriato, explained “While in the short run the food drive would benefit the public our participation would detract from our long-term goal of helping the poor through socialism. The flaw in all charitable giving is that the giver has the option to refuse. In...

Russia has been playing games with innocent lives by undermining the ability to get at the truth regarding who is responsible for unleashing horrendous chemical attacks in Syria The mandate of an international expert panel investigating use of chemical weapons in Syria, known as the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons-United Nations Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM), has expired. JIM was established by the United Nations Security Council, unanimously, in 2015 to identify “to the greatest extent feasible” individuals, entities, groups or governments perpetrating, organizing, sponsoring or otherwise involved in the use of chemicals as weapons in Syria. With its...

And you want America to take you seriously?! Puhleeze! I have a vivid memory of putting on my mother’s high heels and covering my head with the veiled hat she wore on special occasions. All decked out, I made my way up The Boulevard in New Haven to our neighbor’s home about four houses away. And on that sojourn, I have an equally vivid memory of a man sitting on his porch and stopping me in my tracks with his comments. “Well well well, Missy, don’t we look pretty! And where would you be going today looking so beautiful?” It...

French professor Christian de Moliner claims it would be impossible to mollify the 30 per cent of Muslims who want to introduce Sharia law in the country without complying with their desires. According to the professor the solution is to create two states with a French law for the French and Sharia law for Muslims who choose for it. He says: “We will never be able to eradicate radical Islamism… While we are not yet at open war, the faithful of the Prophet are already regrouping in areas sometimes governed by special rules.” De Moliner adds that in France a...

On the same day that GQ—sometimes known as Genuflecting Quarterbacks—named Colin Kaepernick as its “Citizen of the Year,” several mainstream media outlets—including Christian websites—reported that some Christian players in the NFL who support Kaepernick’s protest of “systemic oppression and…police brutality toward black people” are frustrated at the criticism directed at Mr. Kaepernick. They are especially frustrated that the out-of-work quarterback isn’t getting more support from the Christian community within the NFL. ... What if, while standing among the crowds of urban youth—where he so often finds himself—instead of talking about the myth of “systemic oppression and police brutality,” Mr. Kaepernick...

Carrying in Church Since the Sutherland Springs tragedy, Texans with a handgun license are asking for reassurance, "Can licensees carry in a church?" The easy answer is YES. State law does not prohibit you and has not since 1997, however your church might! The Back Story In 1995 when CHL law finally passed, the answer to the Church Question was NO. Initially churches were a prohibited location. Then in 1997, when the language to Penal Code 30.06 passed creating the sign familiar to licensees, one line was added to PC 46.035. The addition of that one line (i) treats churches...

Debt-ridden Millennials just can’t handle real life. Hit with a never before seen amount of debt and facing a shifting and hollowing job market, it’s little wonder that a shocking number of Millennials say they are having a crisis at their current point in life when they are supposed to be finding out who they are and what their life is all about. A LinkedIn survey of 2,000 Millennials shared by Moneyish revealed that 72% of young professionals aged 25 to 33 confessed to being in a quarter-life crisis, or a period of self-doubt and insecurity that leads them to...

This holiday season makes for the perfect time to Count Your Blessings. Best blessing of Thanksgiving 2017 to count first: Hillary Clinton never made it as president. The caterwauling of that stunning loss continues over a year later. But Clinton, who acts as if she really won the presidency, is now down to carping at the voting world from the none-too-stable Clinton Foundation, or whatever is left of it.

Dear FReepdom, Well, I'm on the virtual road again, lookin' for a job suitable for a high tech redneck as I camp out in a cheap motel and drive a rented U-Haul pickup truck in Gainesville, Florida. I've already put in for a couple of jobs that are telecommute. But I practically got shanghaied into submitting an application to a company called ASML in Wilton, Connecticut. On paper, at least, I might be able to aggressively jump into this job, which pays $70/hr as contract. Which money is sorely needed if I actually went there. Multi thousand dollar apartments. That's...

When something happens in my own community that triggers alarm bells, I am compelled to write. And this subject provides an excellent learning opportunity, which is one important purpose of the Language of Liberty series. Last Thursday, November 2nd, the City Board of Alderman in Sparta, Tennessee declined a motion to allow citizen input at City Board meetings. Their decision is now a part of the public record: a policy that alienates the people they represent and is repugnant to the Framers' original intent of free speech enshrined in the First Amendment. City Board meetings are required to be open...

A brave mom who was wounded in the California shooting rampage as she shielded her children said four people refused her pleas for help — one even claiming she was late for work, according to local reports. Tiffany Phommathep, a 31-year-old mother or four, was dropping three of her children off at school Tuesday morning when gunman Kevin Janson Neal, 44, selected her as his next target, KCRA 3 reported. Her husband, Johnny Phommathep, told FOX 40 that Neal pulled up next to his wife’s car and fired at the driver’s side door.

Waymo Trucks will someday drive themselves out of warehouses and cruise down freeways without the aid of humans or even a driver’s cab — about that there seems little disagreement. The question is how soon that day gets here. And while the answers vary — technologists, not surprisingly, are more bullish than truckers — billions of dollars and a growing parade of companies, from tiny start-ups to the biggest trucking operations, are betting it will be here sooner than most people think. This year, companies and investors are on pace to put just over $1 billion into self-driving and other...
