The national party pulls out of a fundraising pact with the Alabama candidate, further isolating him. The Republican National Committee is withdrawing its support for besieged Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, leaving him increasingly isolated as he confronts charges of sexual misconduct with teenagers. The RNC is pulling out of a joint fundraising agreement it had with Moore, according to a senior party official briefed on the decision. It is also canceling a field program it had set up ahead of the state’s Dec. 12 special election. The committee had about a dozen paid canvassers in Alabama working for Moore....

A day after explosive allegations of sexual assault surfaced against Alabama senate candidate Roy Moore, the Republican Party’s senate campaign arm has severed financial ties with the embattled former state supreme court justice. A joint fundraising committee benefitting Moore and a handful of Republican Party organs filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Friday removing the National Republican Senatorial Committee as one of its beneficiaries. Going forward, the committee’s fundraising will benefit Moore’s Senate campaign, the Alabama Republican Party, and the Republican National Committee but not the NRSC.

I just received a call from the RNC in DC asking for a donation. Normally I don't pick up on these calls but this morning, after reading the Breitbart article on Session, I answered the call. Before the woman could continue her sales pitch, I said, "I'm not sending the Republican Party another dime until Sessions is replaced and the DOJ prosecutes the Clintons". The woman's started speaking, "Well, you know sir..." My response. "Click". Maybe if they get enough responses like this, they'll get the message. What can I say, I'm an optimist.

The national GOP’s director of evangelical outreach is quitting, and lodging complaints about what he calls the party’s “tone deaf attitude” toward a crucial Republican voting bloc. Chad Connelly, who served as the Republican National Committee’s director of faith engagement for the last four years, announced his resignation in an email circulated to close friends late Thursday. He complained that religious outreach has not been prioritized at the RNC under the leadership structure implemented by President Donald Trump’s White House. “The treatment I received from the new political department has been disrespectful, antagonistic and unacceptable,” Connelly wrote in an email...

Thursday on “Bloomberg Markets,” Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said she shared the same “mission” of getting “a better majority for the president going into 2018” with the former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon. Bannon has announced publicly he was targeting some Republican senators who support Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). McDaniel said, “The great thing about the RNC is we stayed neutral and primaries for this very reason. When you have divisive primaries, and it is competitive, and tempers or emotions flare, we need to bring people together after the primary and let our purpose unite us...

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said this week that Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is “taking over the role of the Republican Party” as he looks to support conservative challengers to establishment lawmakers in 2018. “I think what Bannon is doing is slowly but surely taking over the role of the Republican Party, and people joining Bannon are [doing the same],” he said Wednesday. “The Republican Party is obviously not with [President] Trump on balance — you have some in the House who are — but the Republican Party on balance is not...

Fueled by a string of fundraising appeals from President Trump to his supporters, the Republican Party is on track to raise more money from small-dollar contributions than it has collected in more than a decade. The influx of cash from Trump’s base is helping the GOP amass a major advantage as the parties prepare to battle for control of Congress in the 2018 elections, with the Republican National Committee pulling in nearly twice as much money overall as its Democratic counterpart this year. The RNC’s success with small donors illustrates how the Republican Party, long a center of the political...

And now we face the final test: the debt ceiling. Will we or won’t we stop the spending madness? Will the Republicans enact the cuts they’ve promised, or will they now be the ones to kick the can, piling evermore trillions of dollars of debt on their own grandchildren? By every indication that’s precisely what they plan to do. The signal has come from President Trump, from Speaker Ryan, and from Majority Leader McConnell. The debt ceiling will be raised and no fiscal sanity will be restored. There is no difference between Republicans and Democrats. Put them together. They are...

The Republican National Committee paid the Trump International Hotel in Washington $122,000 last month after the party held a lavish fundraiser at the venue in June, the latest example of how GOP political committees are generating a steady income stream for President Trump's private business, new Federal Election Commission records show. At least 25 congressional campaigns, state parties and the Republican Governors Association have together spent more than $473,000 at Trump hotels or golf resorts this year, according to a Washington Post analysis of campaign finance filings. Trump's companies collected an additional $793,000 from the RNC and the president's campaign...

President Trump’s decision announced Monday night to increase the U.S. presence in Afghanistan by sending up to 4,000 additional troops and military advisers into that already 16 year-old war is both disappointing, and encouraging. The disappointment comes in the President’s going back on his oft-repeated campaign pledge to get our country out of that armpit of the earth, where more that 2.500 American lives have already been sacrificed to accomplish goals that under President George W. Bush were overly-ambitious and unachievable, and that under President Barack Obama were vague and unsupported in any real way by that administration. All that...

The Republican National Committee (RNC) expanded its massive fundraising lead over the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in July as the Democrats posted their worst July haul in a decade. The DNC raised just $3.8 million in July, compared to the $10.2 million raised by the RNC in the same month. While the GOP has no debt, the DNC added slightly to its debt in July, which now sits at $3.4 million. The Democrats haven't raised that little money in a July since 2007; the party raised $3.4 million in that month. The Hill obtained the RNC's fundraising numbers ahead of...

Just got a call from RNC Headquarters (202)795-3626.A pleasant sounding woman asked if it was me...I said yes. When she got two words into her routine I interrupted her and said "listen, until the Party stops the foolishness and gets behind the President and his proposals I have nothing for you".At that point she said "yes, and that's why we're kicking off our 2018..." at which point I interrupted again and said "well,I'll just wait to see what happens in '18.I have nothing for you at this time. Please pass that along". She sheepishly thanked me and...call ended.

Republican donors are protesting GOP lawmakers' failure to repeal Obamacare by withholding donations to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. At least $2 million in contributions originally promised to the NRSC have not materialized, CNN reported Tuesday. The failure of Republicans to fulfill a central campaign promise particularly concerns some donors because it could disillusion core voters heading into the 2018 midterms. The uncertainty could put the Republicans' majority—especially in the House of Representatives—at risk.

Kayleigh McEnany, an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump who was previously a CNN contributor, has left the network to join the Republican National Committee, the RNC is announcing on Monday afternoon. The move is yet another sign the GOP has become the party of President Trump, officially. “I am excited to be joining the RNC at such an important and historic time in our country,” said McEnany in a statement the RNC provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release. “I’m eager to talk about Republican ideas and values and have important discussions about issues affecting Americans across...

Kayleigh McEnany, who recently departed CNN as a contributor, will be the next spokesperson for the Republican National Committee. "I am excited to be joining the RNC at such an important and historic time in our country,” said McEnany, a frequent surrogate for Donald Trump in last year's presidential race. “I’m eager to talk about Republican ideas and values and have important discussions about issues affecting Americans across this country," she said in a statement from the RNC. "Kayleigh will be an integral part of our Party’s ongoing commitment to promoting the Republican message to Americans across the country,” RNC...

President Donald Trump said Wednesday night he has a “good lawsuit” against CNN while speaking at a private RNC fundraiser at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. Trump hinted at suing CNN for its biased stories on the U.S.-Russia narrative, according to new audio released by The Intercept Friday. CNN recently retracted a story from June 22 that claimed Congress is currently investigating Anthony Scaramucci, a member of the transition team’s executive committee, as well as as fundraiser and adviser for the president’s campaign. “It’s a shame what they’ve done to the name CNN, that I can tell you,” Trump...

The president's high-dollar fundraiser Wednesday night at his Washington hotel is expected to bring in nearly $10 million for GOP campaign coffers and his 2020 re-election bid, the Washington Examiner has learned. A RNC spokesman said about 300 people are expected to attend. The president, first lady Melania Trump, RNC Finance Chairman Steve Wynn and RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel will be in attendance at the Trump International Hotel. The fundraiser comes as Trump begins amassing campaign cash for his 2020 re-election bid. "Of course he's running for re-election," White House deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders said during Wednesday's press...
