Kayleigh McEnany, who recently departed CNN as a contributor, will be the next spokesperson for the Republican National Committee.
"I am excited to be joining the RNC at such an important and historic time in our country, said McEnany, a frequent surrogate for Donald Trump in last year's presidential race.
Im eager to talk about Republican ideas and values and have important discussions about issues affecting Americans across this country," she said in a statement from the RNC.
"Kayleigh will be an integral part of our Partys ongoing commitment to promoting the Republican message to Americans across the country, RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a separate statement in the same release.
Her wealth of experience will be invaluable to the RNC as we continue to support President Trump and build on our majorities in Congress as we head into 2018.
McEnany frequently defended the president during her tenure at CNN. She began as a paid contributor in 2016.
The 29-year-old Georgetown and Harvard Law School graduate began her career in television as a producer for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's (R) Fox News program.
McEnany has also been a contributor to The Hill.
If equally qualified, I'd prefer a nice-looking exterior too, understood. If.
Why do I feel this is like their having let Paul Ryan speak at the convention?
Kayleigh, please let us know as soon as you can exactly what they are. It is a gigantic mystery to all of us who vote GOP.
The only thing discernible to me is Lucy...
Explain Sarah Huckabee Sanders then? I like that type, but many men don’t.
The majority of the SOBs conduct themselves like a defeated army.
Excellent.
Perhaps this was done primarily as a favor to her father,
and as an incentive for Mike not to get on the air and criticize the administration (too much).
Similar to choosing Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao as head of Dept. of Transportation.
All administrations use this sort of benign nepotism when they can.
I neglected to mention Kellyanne earlier as another example.
Im eager to talk about Republican ideas and values and have important discussions about issues affecting Americans across this country," she said in a statement from the RNC.
You mean like selling out to the DIMS? More especially the past eight years? Those "Republican" Values?

Well, it WOULD be nice to hear *SOMETHING* from the RNC. They’ve sure been church-mouse quiet since Jan. 20th...somehow, w/o a repeal bill ready, party members voting like (D), growing govt by leaps/bounds.
Suspect the only ‘reach out’ she and party are willing to do is reaching out their hand, palm up, to the donor class.
