Rush Limbaugh: Steve Bannon Is ‘Taking Over the Role of the Republican Party’
Breitbart ^ | October 8, 2017 | Adam Shaw

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said this week that Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is “taking over the role of the Republican Party” as he looks to support conservative challengers to establishment lawmakers in 2018.

“I think what Bannon is doing is slowly but surely taking over the role of the Republican Party, and people joining Bannon are [doing the same],” he said Wednesday. “The Republican Party is obviously not with [President] Trump on balance — you have some in the House who are — but the Republican Party on balance is not with Trump.”

I wish Bannon all the success in the world, but Breitbart seems to have morphed from what used to be a primarily news site into one that is overly self-indulgent and, perhaps, a bit cocky. Do they have the influence they think they have? Is their influence growing? I wonder how much, if any, the traffic there has increased since Bannon's return.

Steve Bannon is adhering to what got Trump elected. Draining the swamp will not be a linear process. The swamp creatures fight back, and with all of their usurped powers.

Excellent. Glad someone is stepping up to the plate. Primaries critical for 2018.

Bannon may be beyond Rove in that he’s a movement conservative. Perhaps the most influential since, well, Andrew Breitbart.

These people in Congress have not a darn thing on the big things, so hope they like a challenging primary.

I think 2010 belonged to Sarah Palin. She is also working 2017 but Bannon so far is the leader of the back as he seems to be the one approaching prospects. I suspect that he’ll try to find the right people and Sarah will be big in getting them across the line. Hoping it works because the Trump Presidency needs some true allies

The GOP are the Washington Generals....they were set up to lose to the Harlem Globetrotters forever, just like the GOP was set to lose to the democrats forever....until Trump.

I see Sara Palin running for president in about 12 years... I really believe that McCain never meant to win and his picking Sara Palin was an attempt to destroy her Politically by having her in presidential politics before she had been seasoned. at the moment she is so hurt by McCain’s backstab that running is not wise but I believe she will run and it will create the same melt down that President Trumps run for the presidency did. if you look at her critics it is the same group of never Trumpers and Democrats.

Yes, somebody’s got to do it and it definitely isn’t Old McConnell who’ bought the Swamp Fever Barn. Not Burr, Flake, McCain, Lindie, Hatch, Corker Up His Butt, and most of the other cowards and backstabbing RINOS.

If there is going to be a fight between the true conservatives and a few sane moderates, and the Whimp Wing of the GOP, then I want Bannon to lead it.

Take no prisoners. Never back down. Never give up.

He’s not just doing breitbart. He campaigned for Moore, he’s got some big donors kicking in big money and it’s not going through the rnc, he’s sidelining them.

Watch his interview with Charlie Rose https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz9FqepcRUM

At the part on draining the swamp, he admits it’s going to take 10-15-20 years. He’s in it for the long run and I imagine after office, Trump will still be working at it and by that time, Trump Jr. They all realize it’s now or never or no USA.

Totally agree about Breitbart. Sometimes it sounds so unhinged over there as if they chain smoke steroids, that we have so already won every race, so slayed every foe, so Bannonized the nation, that Trump needs to “stick with the program”, or else.

GAD!

So tell me: How many of us retired folks should volunteer our help in some way? 2018 is the time to go for broke, the perfect storm. 8 Republicans up in the Senate. He wants all of them challenged in primaries. Everyone except Cruz. I’d keep Fisher(Neb.). Just don’t know enough about her. Beg Collins to run for Gov.

Then there’s the Democrats, 25 of them(2 Ind.). 10 are in red states Trump won. If this is not OUR BEST opportunity I don’t know what is. No candidate should lack for money. Ridicule the left while they’re down. Tell them Bernie would have won. Heh heh.

I think Sarah is pretty much done, truthfully.

Bannon, and Bannon picks, are in another league entirely, strategists to the MAX, proficient to a fault, experienced, even over- qualified, and In.The.Swamp., already for years and years. Bannon is magnificently educated, probably MENSA material, served as a US NAVY surface warfare officer in the Pacific, assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.

Bannon will not be needing Palin to pick up either his laundry or his political prospects. His prospects will be all his. It’s unlikely Sarah could even get an appointment with his prospects, if you know what I mean. This isn’t AMWAY door to door any more.

Sarah is a pop off artist of one liners compared to this team. I think Bannon eats gravel for breakfast.

If the establishment republicans fail to pass tax cuts I think trump goes all in to support the Ban non candidates.Even if they do pass tax reform I think trump either stays neutral in the primaries or or supports the conservatives. 2018 elections will be yuuge.
