Donald Trump is the leader of the "Galt-Right", a movement which rewards success, freedom and individuality. Sorry, not much of a post, just wanted to post something to counter the talk of all this "alt-Right" nonsense.

CHINA could match the military might of the US in a decade and any conflict between them would rock the entire world economy. That is the frightening warning issued by research organisation, Rand Corporation, which highlights how the US and China remain at loggerheads over several regional disputes with large military forces operating closely together. In its new report War With China, Thinking Through the Unthinkable, Rand warn any conflict would ultimately be intense, destructive and protracted. “If an incident occurred or a crisis overheated, both have an incentive to strike enemy forces before being struck by them,” the report...

At a Goodwill Industries of Kentucky roundtable meeting on Friday, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul would not say whether presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's comments about a Latino judge's ethnicity help efforts to expand the GOP. (SNIP) That there wasn't enough sort of rural white voters for the Republican Party to get bigger. I thought we had to get more diverse."

The Kentucky Republican Caucus on Saturday has been largely funded by Sen. Rand Paul who convinced the state party to switch from a primary format to get around a state law prohibiting someone from appearing on the ballot in multiple federal races. Paul was seeking a second Senate term and running as a 2016 GOP presidential candidate until he suspended his campaign last month.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) plans to force senators to vote on the State Department’s approval of $700 million worth of fighter jets to Pakistan using an obscure Senate rule that hasn’t been invoked in decades. The Obama administration cleared the sale of eight F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan last month. But Paul is invoking the obscure Arms Export Control Act of 1976 in a bid to shoot down the sale with a resolution of disapproval. "Over the last few years we have seen that Pakistan is an uncertain ally when it comes to cooperating with the United States,” Paul said...

A top staffer for Sen. Rand Paul’s campaign said Wednesday that Donald Trump was a key reason for Paul’s failed presidential bid. Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced Wednesday morning that he was dropping out of the race for the White House after a poor performance at the Iowa Caucuses. Paul’s Chief Strategist Doug Stafford led a conference call with reporters Wednesday morning where he said Trump sucked the “oxygen out of the room,†making it nearly impossible for Paul to get his message out.

2016 candidate Rand Paul explains why he thinks the polls are wrong on FNC's 'The Kelly File' and MSNBC's 'Morning Joe.' JOE SCARBOROUGH, MSNBC: Senator, if there is a surprise tonight as far as somebody doing much better, I think it's you. I think -- You've talked about it, your supporters don't seem to be as represented in the polls as others. SEN. RAND PAUL (R-KY), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: One of the interesting thing is when you look at the polls, sometimes there is nobody under 30 in the poll, often there are very few people under 40 in the poll,...

A defiant Rand Paul is brushing off weak fundraising and weaker poll numbers as would-be donors and home state Republicans push him to abandon an uphill presidential bid to focus on his Senate re-election. While showing some frustration, the first-term Kentucky senator this week claimed his superior political organization would prove wrong those doubting his chances in the White House contest. At the same time, he released fundraising numbers that place him squarely in the bottom tier of the GOP's 2016 class over the last three months, a painful symbol of stalled momentum for the libertarian favorite who was considered...

During a brief, little-noticed speech in May, Rep. Mick Mulvaney implored Republican presidential contenders and their supporters to stop tailoring their rhetoric to satisfy true believers and instead prioritize expanding the conservative tent. (SNIP) This concern was clearly influential in his decision to endorse Paul. Comparing the Kentucky senator with rival Republican contender Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Mulvaney had this to say in an interview with the Associated Press: "Ted is not bringing anybody new into the party. Rand is."

...And they're probably right We’re going to ignore the unseemly, obviously biased, glee with which they deliver this news. We’re also going to gloss over the fact that, if the phrase ‘death watch’ had been applied to Hillary, liberals would spin it into wishful thinking on the part of evil conservatives who want her to literally die. Since we’re not progressives, we’ll just look at the facts and say this: When CNN claims that Rand Paul’s campaign is “officially on death watch,” they’re probably right. Barring a miraculous turnaround, Rand Paul’s campaign is nearing the end of the road. From...

Does Rand Paul believe the road to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is paved with endless pandering? At a time when GOP leaders, led by Mitch McConnell, are engaging in the ultimate betrayal and funding Planned Parenthood and all their butchery, Rand Paul is training his fire on….Ted Cruz! He lashed out at the senator from Texas, predicting that he’s “done for in the Senate.” He seemed particularly perturbed by Cruz calling McConnell a liar, even though the senior senator from Kentucky indeed engaged in one of the most verifiable and public acts of lying earlier this year. Sadly, the negativity Rand...

"Under Senate rules, if enough Senators are willing to stand with me and sign a petition demanding a vote,...

Cruz accuses McConnell and GOP leadership of maneuvering to dry up his fundraising and plant hit pieces in the press aimed at hurting him politically. He says GOP leaders cowered from joining him in big fights over the debt ceiling, Obamacare and gun control, accusing his colleagues of “mendacity†and capitulating to Democrats to avoid bad headlines. He contends that McConnell misled him in vowing to stay out of primaries when Cruz accepted a senior-level position at the National Republican Senatorial Committee. And he accuses a GOP rival, Rand Paul of Kentucky, of parroting McConnell’s talking points by seeking to “undermineâ€...
