NOTE: For the most part, I'll be posting quotes from various sources without political or satirical bias for the next two weeks. Twitter users are debating whether or not Beethoven was black after a blog post about the subject resurfaced online. ... In the post on The Concordian, the author said: "I am no Beethoven expert, but bringing up this topic is important. While getting to the bottom of the truth about Beethoven's race will change nothing about the supreme quality of his music, it will open up dialogue about the massive effects of European colonialism that promote racism still today. .. However, there is no evidence of Beethoven's race aside from portraits that suggest that he was white, and the blog...

High-profile Egyptian belly dancer Sama el-Masry was sentenced to three years in prison Saturday after prosecutors said she posted sexually suggestive videos to TikTok. El-Masry, 42, was arrested in April and accused of inciting debauchery and committing “immorality” by sharing the content. But the dancer has denied uploading the videos to the social media platform, telling authorities the content was stolen from her phone and posted by somebody else without her consent. John Talaat, a member of parliament who asked for legal action against el-Masry and other female TikTok users, told Reuters that the dancer and other female social media...

In the last several days it has come out that "30 Rock" creator and star Tina Fey has decided that four episodes of the show "30 Rock", will be pulled from viewing because there were incidents of Blackface in them. I find this all absurd as the very concept of comedy has been turned on it's ear by Political Correctness. The concept of Satire and Sarcasm just no longer has a place in the venue of comedy. I suppose all sorts of past entertainment will now be erased from history. Anyone old enough to remember Dean Martin and Sammy Davis...

In an increasingly antiracist era when problematic iconography — ranging from Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben to even the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee car and country band Lady Antebellum’s name — is being reassessed, revised or retired, America’s national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” seems to be striking a wrong note. Last week, protesters in San Francisco toppled a statue of the song’s composer, Francis Scott Key, a known slaveholder who once said that African-Americans were “a distinct and inferior race of people, which all experience proves to be the greatest evil that afflicts a community.” This week, Liana Morales,...
