In the summer of 1940, as British pilots fought desperately for the skies of southern England, the battle was joined on a very different front, thousands of miles from the coast of Kent. It was fought through the political salons of Washington DC, the boardrooms and the smoky nightclubs of New York. The protagonists had no uniform save that of a well-tailored suit; their weapons were native cunning, a plausible manner, and, from time to time, a concealed revolver. This was the secret battle for America, ordered by Winston Churchill himself, and the fate of the free world hung upon...

A Bavarian town failed to distance themselves from Hitler in a vote last week. The Nazi leader was made an honorary citizen of the area in 1933 but half of the council voted against disassociating the town from him. On Tuesday the town of Dietramszell in Bavaria was supposed to distance itself from Hitler and other leading Nazis in a motion put forward by mayor Leni Gröbmaier. The move came after archivist Agnes Wagner found Hitler had been made an honorary citizen in March 1933, the Münchener Merkur newspaper reported. Nearby Münsing carried out a similar vote a few days...

The ultimate goal of the Hamas movement is to establish Islam worldwide, Hamas minister Fathi Hammad declared during a recent public address in Gaza. “We shall liberate our land, Allah willing. We shall liberate our Al-Aqsa Mosque, and our cities and villages, as a prelude to the establishment of the future Islamic Caliphate. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are at the threshold of a global Islamic civilization era,” Hammad proclaimed. “The fuel and spearhead of this era will be Gaza, and its mujahideen and leaders will be from Gaza, Allah willing,” he added. Hammad’s speech was translated by the Middle...

German imperialism and the African Holocaust by Bill Johnson Published: 28 November 2013 (GMT+10) Imperialism, or extending a country’s power through military force, drew enormous strength from Darwin’s theory of evolution.1 Many European powers feared losing out in the struggle for existence and earnestly sought to expand their living space by colonizing far and distant places that possessed a wealth of natural resources. One such power was Germany and one place where the natives were murdered and the land plundered was German colonial Africa. Late-nineteenth-century Germans were influenced by a number of anthropological assumptions, two of which were: (1) White...

Editor's Note (1999): In his new book, A Republic, Not an Empire, Patrick Buchanan claims that as of mid-1940 Hitler "was driven by a traditional German policy of Drang nach Osten, the drive to the East." He did not want war with the West, insists Buchanan. (Pp. 268-69.) Why then did Hitler, following Pearl Harbor, declare war on the United States? Buchanan insists this was the irrational act of a madman. In fact, insists Gerhard Weinberg, it was consistent with an objective Hitler had long nourished. It had been an assumption of Hitler's since the 1920s that Germany would at...

Seeking to create an analogy with the deal the United States negotiated with Iran to supposedly limit further production of its centrifuges, Secretary of State John Kerry chose to recall disarmament agreements between the United States and the Soviet Union. A better analogy would be the 1938 Munich Pact, which gave Hitler part of Czechoslovakia in the vain hope that war could be avoided. It is worth noting that several of the nations that were signatories in Munich, namely Germany, France and Britain, are also part of the current deal with Iran. There is another flaw in Kerry's analysis. Deal...

“Actually, there are parallels between the firearm bans and registration requirements enacted by the Weimar Republic and those proposed by President Obama,” Halbrook, a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, told The Daily Caller when asked what he would say to those who will argue making such a comparison sounds a bit hysterical. ”Only law-abiding persons obeyed those laws. Weimar authorities warned that the lists of gun owners must not fall into the hands of ‘radical elements.’ The lists fell right into the hands of the Nazis when they assumed power. Gun owner data can be misused by the government...

During a speech in 1942, Adolf Hitler said, "The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to posses arms." In other words, Jews and others whom Hitler wanted to wipe from the earth first had to be separated from their guns. This was not new position for Hitler. Rather, it was something he had put into practice from the moment he came into office. When Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933, he seized gun registration information that had been compiled by Germany's previous government under the premise that the information would not...

There's no disputing Adolf Hitler was responsible for some of the most monstrous acts ever committed. In an interview about his new biography, however, historian Volker Ullrich discusses a dictator who was an anti-Semite but also a man of considerable charm.SPIEGEL: Mr. Ullrich, how normal was Adolf Hitler? Ullrich: He was not as crazy as some scholars of psychohistory would have us believe, at least, with their far too simplistic lines of argumentation. He may even have been more normal than we might wish. SPIEGEL: Most people consider Hitler a psychopath. Many historians, too, believe that someone capable of committing...

A youth magazine associated with the Palestinian Authority has published a list of "words of wisdom" - courtesy of none other than Adolf Hitler. Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), an NGO which monitors incitement and hate-speach in Palestinian Authority media, said that Zayzafuna - which previously lost UNESCO funding after publishing an essay glorifying the Nazi dictator - attributed a list of short quotes to Hitler in order to present him "as a sharp-witted and wise person." The one-liners attributed to Hitler include: "If you were stabbed in the back, know that you are in front"; "Don't challenge a man who...

Republican Rep. Brenda Barton of Payson compared President Barack Obama to Adolph Hitler on her Facebook page Monday in a post urging county sheriffs to revoke authority from the National Parks Service “thugs” who are enforcing the federal shutdown on national parks lands. “Someone is paying the National Park Service thugs overtime for their efforts to carry out the order of De Fuhrer… where are our Constitutional Sheriffs who can revoke the Park Service Rangers authority to arrest??? Do we have any Sheriffs with a pair?” she wrote. Fuhrer is a German term for leader that is most often associated...

As reports continue to flood in about President Obama’s massive surveillance state, media powerhouse Glenn Beck says, “There wouldn’t be a Jew alive on the planet today if Hitler had this technology.” Beck made the statement Friday on his radio program while interviewing NSA whistleblower William Binney. Binney worked at the National Security Agency for nearly four decades, and said the secret surveillance of Americans began in October 2001. He believes the NSA is storing information on 3 billion phone calls every day. Want to know how and why America has so rapidly come to resemble the totalitarian society described...

A trip through a major Holocaust museum will tell you most of what you need to know about the mindset of the fiends who murdered millions in the middle of the last century. Poster-size images of death-camp inmates – all staring blankly – attest to the monstrous worldview of the prisoners’ tormentors. What, though, really explains the Nazi capacity for murder? How could “regular people” slaughter children? What possessed – pun intended – Hitler’s willing executioners to butcher women and old men? I think Jerry Bergman has figured it out In a new book, “Hitler and the Nazi Darwinian Worldview,”...

Anyone here got time to make a Downfall parody on the closing of the WWII Memorial? When the camera zooms in on the map, Krebs could be telling Hitler about where the Barrycades are being set up."Mein Fuhrer . . . Steiner was not able to hold the line. Blonde German housewife Erna Petri was returning home after a shopping trip in town when something caught her eye: six small, nearly naked boys huddled in terror by the side of the country road. Married to a senior SS officer, the 23-year-old knew instantly who they were. They must be the Jews she’d heard about — the ones who’d escaped from a train taking them to an extermination camp. But she was a mother herself, with two children of her own. So she humanely took the starving, whimpering youngsters home, calmed them down and gave them food to eat. Then...
