The spying Scotsman who hunted the Nazis of New York
Daily Mail UK ^ | 12/28/2013 | Adam Lebor

In the summer of 1940, as British pilots fought desperately for the skies of southern England, the battle was joined on a very different front, thousands of miles from the coast of Kent.

It was fought through the political salons of Washington DC, the boardrooms and the smoky nightclubs of New York.

The protagonists had no uniform save that of a well-tailored suit; their weapons were native cunning, a plausible manner, and, from time to time, a concealed revolver.

This was the secret battle for America, ordered by Winston Churchill himself, and the fate of the free world hung upon it.

“Tower Of Basel: The Shadowy History Of The Secret Bank That Rules The World, Adam LeBor’s investigative history of the Bank For International Settlements, is published by PublicAffairs.”

Saw this at the end of the article.

The Bush’s and the Kennedy’s don’t seem to figure into this story.
Neither does Intrepid, William Stevenson.

The article takes quite a bit of “license” to connect Wall Streeters with Nazis.

It took total defeat in two World Wars in the same century to convince the Germans that they were not so smart that they deserved to rule the world.

Now we are again in battle with the Fascist forces in the world with the same end as their goal.

We witness the convergence of the Left, the Global Fascists and the Islamist. All 3 think they will ultimately prevail over the other 2, but none will, God will prevail.

Check out nazi influence & collaboration w muslim radicals during WW2 and there’s a case that the war with fascism didn’t end in 1945, it just morphed...

Classic new world order disinformation.

They only tell part of the picture.

It helps to discredit the very history it describes.

And we can see in the comments that it’s working as designed.

No new world order here, move along, nothing to see.

An interesting view of the ‘civil’ war that was fought to influence neutral USA prior to 1941 and Pearl Harbor. There was indeed, extreme anti-English views, especially amongst the Irish and much of the RC Scottish communities. I do recall of a midwest (Chicago?) mayor who threatened to ‘arrest’ the British Royals when they came to visit the USA in 1939. The use of the term “Perfidious Albion” was common in the period as the jockying between a (slightly) declining British Empire and a recovering USA was played on the fields of commerce, international relations and other places. As the prior dominant world power, there was the sense that Britain both made the rules and then broke them to her convenience.

Left in the shadows of this story is the fact that the US State Department and other Government officialdom, mentioned as being ‘neutral’ at best and pro-Nazi at worst, was, after 8 years, solidly FDR’s team and responsibility. I wonder how many ‘Americans’ there were between the above faction and the Ivy League Communists like Alger Hiss?

It is clear that it did not.

Hitler’s buddy the Grand Mufti (Haj Muhammed Amin al-Husseini) continued after the war. He finally died in 1974.

Here is an article on FR about him from 2003
