OK, I am not posting this to stir up the FireFox guys and gals. I've used FF for a while, it's OK but I generally surf with IE8. Two things I've noticed: 1 - sometimes when I visit a web page that requires a login, say my bank or webmail, the "focus" is supposed to put the cursor in either my login or password box. Normally Chase bank is pretty good but the last few days I have to click on the login box. My webmail is often lousy, but on days Chase doesn't put the cursor in the box...

Buddy of mine recently turned me onto a Mexican duo that is just awesome. I've always been a fan of guitar, with a soft spot for Flamenco or Spanish guitar, or whatever you would call it. I'm not sure how to categorize these two musicians, but I love their stuff. Rodrigo y Gabriela, aka Rod and Gabi, they claim not to play Flamenco, sometimes picking with just fingers and sometimes using a guitar pick. A couple of their CDs come with bonus DVDs where they demonstrate their style and attempt to explain it. Fascinating to watch.

OK, how long till somebody posts the little zombie kid who "likes turtles?" That's cool. I have 2 Mississippi Map turtles, one Common Musk turtle, and a new Red-ear Slider. Interesting weekend. I drove up to a little place called Bismarck, Arkansas. I go up there a lot, buddy of mine is camp host at a Boy Scout camp there. We camp right on Lake Degray, it is a beautiful area just south of Hot Springs. My buddy is sort of a joker, here is my story … We get there Friday afternoon, talk to my bud, drive down to our camp spot and start making camp. Haven’t been there 10 minutes when a Hot Springs county deputy sheriff comes rolling up. I’ve seen LEOs out there maybe once before...

I cut the grass today, it was hot hot hot in Garland, TX. After that I did a little watering. Now, I'm outside a fair bit, notice all the people going by. Typical people out walking, people on bikes, noisy vehicles. There are several laborer types who cruise by on their 24" girl's bikes, I know most of 'em on sight. Something weird happened around 5:30 or so. I see a Hispanic guy, maybe 30-40ish, on a bike, approaching from a direction that is not typical. No big deal, typical laborer guy with jeans and a sleeved western shirt and...

I'm sure some of this guy's stuff has been posted around here before, I found him by accident. Pretty funny, dude seems to be on the level. I don't think he is faking it, but would love opinions.

I can't help myself, I am a nosy person. In the last week or so I have seen two different posters with an XX-1/2 post number, a weird join date, and a FReep name that leads to some YouBoob or Wiki destination. What the heck is up with this? I guess I'm just a suspicious person, but abnormal stuff gets my attention.

I always liked that guy's films, own a couple of 'em. What an interesting read. Go to Wiki sometime and put his name in, wow. That guy was cool. I guess I didn't realize he died so young (ha, 50, I'm older than that). I can identify with him so much, what a trip. I love that film "Le Mans" because I am a racing film. It is basically stupid, except for the tasty automobiles, but I watch it every few months and always get a tear. I'm weird like that about films.

People keep asking the same questions over and over in each thread on this topic, I thought I would try to lump them all together and give my analysis of each. Maybe this will help answer a few questions already sorted out before new threads are started, at least until it turns into another hair-pulling, face scratching, dress tearing free-for-all like some threads around here have.

I don't think there is better fish to eat than crappie. Tuna is good, bass is OK, catfish can be tasty, but there ain't nothing better than good Arkansas crappie.

When Mark Simone stands in for Mark Levin he used to always have Ann Coulter on at some point. I heard him on there recently and he was very dismissive and avoided talking nice about her.

Wow, this show just gets better. I can hardly stand to watch it anymore, I always cry, I can't stop it. A man is not supposed to cry, but stuff like this just cuts me in half. Remember that Thanksgiving when W turned up in Baghdad? I do. I had an Iraqi Freedom veteran Marine, just back from deployment, staying at my house. When I heard it on the radio I ran in the house and we threw on the TV and there was our President, addressing troops at some military base. That took some guts. I still respect him for doing that.

Yeah, I want a Ruger 10-22 bull barreled beauty too, but for now I'm toying with the idea of a simple bolt .22 with iron sights. Nothing fancy, just a plaything for plinking.
