OK, I am not posting this to stir up the FireFox guys and gals. I've used FF for a while, it's OK but I generally surf with IE8.
Two things I've noticed:
1 - sometimes when I visit a web page that requires a login, say my bank or webmail, the "focus" is supposed to put the cursor in either my login or password box. Normally Chase bank is pretty good but the last few days I have to click on the login box. My webmail is often lousy, but on days Chase doesn't put the cursor in the box my email does. That seems weird, and I doubt it is a flaw in the webpage, I figure it is something with my browser.
2 - Sometimes after having a tab open all day when I roll over a particular folder in My Favorites the links within that folder don't pop up. I can go to another folder and all my links open in a box, but to get the failing folder to do what it is supposed to I have to close the tab and open a new one, then things are fine and I see all my links.
OK geniuses, wussupwiddis?
Who among you FReepers can 'splain it to me, Lucy?
When that happens there is the tiniest little, itsy-bitsy, square (sophisticated computer language) touching the folder that will not open, isn't there?
You are correct, sir. I can just barely see it. Don’t see that on the folders that work.
What the heck does it mean? And your screen name, is that for Ansel Adams? I lurved that man, he was my hero back in my photographer days.
From time to time I have needed to use compatibility view to have data entry fields behave as expected. I use IE 9 but believe IE 8 works the same. Try it, it’s free.
I have no idea what it means, I hope someone shows up and tells us though.
I might have chosen my screen name because of the fire extinguisher, but the artist works too.
I found the option you spoke of, appears to need setting for each site. I’ll experiment with this.
Thanx.
In reference to question 2, When that happens there is the tiniest little, itsy-bitsy, square (sophisticated computer language) touching the folder that will not open, isn’t there?
I have googled for that, but have never been able to find out anything about it.
I hope people respond to your second question also.
With very brief testing, that seems to work.
Cool, thanx.
You are welcome, glad it worked for you.
