  • Polls: Voters tiring of Bobby Jindal and Barack Obama

    02/08/2013 1:30:15 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 10 replies ^ | February 8, 2013 | Jeff Crouere
President Barack Obama and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal have much in common. While Obama is a liberal Democrat and Jindal is a Republican, both of these men are relatively young and supposedly intelligent. They are minorities who graduated from Ivy League schools and spent most of their careers in government.
  • Liberal Media spins Obama's Yucky economy as unemployment rises, recession looms

    02/01/2013 1:37:45 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 2 replies ^ | February 1, 2013 | Jeff Crouere
In the brave new world of Barack Obama, the media breathlessly report all of the economic data with a positive spin. On Friday, as the unemployment rate increased for the second straight month, the liberal media was telling us this was good news. Is a higher unemployment rate of 7.9 percent really good news? According to the Associated Press, it was an “upbeat” report. Yet, this unemployment figure is high by historical standards and is higher than the rate at the start of the Obama administration.

Today, approximately 400,000 pro-life activists are gathering in Washington D.C. to protest the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which legalized abortion throughout the nation. The march is usually held on January 22, but was moved to January 25 because of the presidential inauguration. In contrast, the pro-abortion rallies assembled by the National Organization of Women always attract a much smaller crowd.

The Obama administration will let no political opportunity go to waste. Tomorrow, the President will unveil his gun control agenda surrounded by children who wrote him letters in the aftermath of the Newtown tragedy. Not surprisingly, children from around the country have been frightened by the mass murder at Sandy Hook elementary. They have been influenced by the non-stop media coverage of the horrible incident and are worried about safety in their own schools.

The nagging nanny of New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is at it again, engaging in his favorite activity, telling his citizens what they can consume. This time, the Mayor is targeting prescription painkillers in the city’s emergency rooms. By mayoral edict, he will reduce the supply of certain pain medication in the emergency rooms owned by the city.
  • Plan B, Boehner, Betrayal and bloated budgets

    12/21/2012 12:30:24 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 2 replies ^ | December 21, 2012 | Jeff Crouere
After House Speaker John Boehner was unable to muster enough support for his “Plan B” proposal, the Congress has adjourned for the holidays. At this point, Republicans should stay home until the new Congress convenes in 2013. A deal like “Plan B” that raises taxes on those making over $1 million per year and offers limited spending cuts over 10 years will do nothing to solve our underlying fiscal problems.
  • Liberals use Newton killings to push gun control agenda

    12/18/2012 3:01:51 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 13 replies ^ | December 18m 2012 | Jeff Crouere
In the wake of a tragedy, there is always a call from some politicians to “do something.” Our country is witnessing the same sort of reaction to the Newtown, Connecticut school massacre. Ever since the murder of 27 people on Friday by 20 year old Adam Lanza, liberals across the country have been calling for more gun control. It is despicable that liberals like Michael Moore and New York Senator Chuck Schumer are trying to take political advantage from a true tragedy. Sadly, Democrats such as California Senator Dianne Feinstein have no shame and are already promising to introduce a...
  • Mr. Obama, do we bailout Detroit today, USA tomorrow?

    12/07/2012 1:35:09 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 6 replies ^ | December 7, 2012 | Jeff Crouere
In fact, Ms. Watson said it was the President’s obligation to help Detroit because “our people in an overwhelming way” voted for him, so “there ought to be a quid pro quo.” Because 75% of Wayne County voters supported Obama, Watson says that Detroit leaders should bring home “some bacon” as they did during the Jimmy Carter administration. Maybe Ms. Watson does not realize that vote buying is illegal. Her attitude is typical of many Obama supporters who want something such as a check, a phone, a job or in this case “some bacon” from the federal government.

Instead of grieving for the victim and her family, Costas decided to impose his liberal political views on millions of viewers who tuned in to watch football. The NFL is the most popular professional sports league in the country. Americans enjoy watching the action, following their favorite teams and escaping from the problems they face in their everyday lives. Americans who watch Sunday Night Football don’t tune in to hear sports anchors editorialize about gun control.
  • Jamie Foxx makes bad BET with his Lord and Savior. Barack Obama

Nonetheless, many of the President’s most ardent supporters are so delusional that they are ready to ascribe supernatural powers to him. For example, entertainer Jamie Foxx used his role at the Soul Train Awards to praise President Obama as “our Lord and Savior.” He implored the crowd to show their support for the President by standing up for him. Foxx’s comments were included in a 30 second spot by BET to promote the awards broadcast and draw viewers to the program. Obviously, BET found Foxx’s comments to be both provocative and worthy of publicity.

    11/23/2012 10:48:50 AM PST · by Marketfly1 · 68 replies ^ | November 23, 2012 | Jeff Crouere
This self-promoting, narcissistic presidential aspirant did not even let the dust settle from the 2012 presidential campaign before he was hurling insults at Governor Romney. In the immediate aftermath of the election, Jindal made headlines for referring to the Romney campaign as “stupid.” He made a very public point of saying that he rejected Romney’s analysis of the election that Obama won by giving large “gifts” to certain minority groups. He called the remarks “insulting” and said that the Republican Party cannot win by demonizing people.

Can the GOP win another Presidential election after its candidate Mitt Romney lost against President Obama? While that was not the question raised by a recent poll and a discussion of that poll by a well-respected pollster, the issue can reasonably be asked by those reviewing the numbers.

The corporate closure will eliminate not only jobs, but 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers, 5,500 delivery routes and 570 bakery outlet stores in the United States. While some workers bucked threats from union bosses and returned to work, it was not enough. "The problem is we don't have enough crossing those lines to maintain normal production,” said Rayburn. So, this ends a company that has been in business since 1930 providing delicious treats to generations of customers. While it is a sad day for most Americans, one person who will be celebrating is First Lady Michelle Obama, who is the...

In their post-election analysis, many of these same “experts” are giving poisonous advice to a party in serious trouble. They are recommending the party move in the direction of Democrats on issues such as illegal immigration, gay marriage, drug use, taxes, abortion to name a few. Following such advice would be the death knell of the Republican Party.

    11/09/2012 1:49:46 PM PST · by Marketfly1 · 50 replies ^ | November 9, 2012 | Jeff Crouere
The network of the Republican Party and the conservative movement suffered a major embarrassment on election night. For weeks prior to the election, Fox News has been giving valuable air time to pollsters and pundits who predicted a Romney “landslide.” These projections were in stark contrast to reputable poll results that were used in other media outlets; however, Fox News viewers were led to believe that the other polls were “skewed” against Mitt Romney. It turns out Fox News was skewed toward self-promoting “experts” who were universally wrong about their predictions.

According to one Tea Party leader, the reason for Mitt Romney’s loss to President Barack Obama is that he was not conservative enough and was “weak-kneed” and a throwback to Bob Dole and John McCain. The President Bush’s were not named, however. In a press statement, entitled “Tea Party Vows "No Retreat" and a subtitle “Promise to search out candidates with clear conservative records; no more Dole-McCain-Romney nominees”, the group leaders said the following:

Four years ago, the card carrying members of the liberal news media were overjoyed at the election of Barack Obama as President. In the process, they abandoned any pretext of fair and balanced reporting. After that initial investment of support, it has been difficult for the media to criticize the President or even make an objective analysis of his record. By and large, Barack Obama has received extremely favorable media coverage, even though his has not fulfilled many of his campaign promises and his policies have not turned around the weak economy or helped millions of Americans find good paying...

Barack Obama, who was influenced by the peace movement of the 1960’s, was the one candidate most unlike President George W. Bush. And so it was that Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States. After four years of the Obama administration the American economy continues to falter, the world is more dangerous than it was four years ago despite the death of Osama bin Laden, and our national debt is threatening our entire economic existence. Today the federal government spends eleven dollars for every seven dollars it collects. Our national debt has soared past $16 trillion.

It was undoubtedly a stellar performance for Madonna has been a major star for decades. Unfortunately, in the midst of the concert, she decided to engage in political talk with her audience. In recent months, Madonna has been very vocal about her support for Barack Obama. In fact, she has written the President’s name on various parts of her body and is not be bashful about showing it to her fans. Not surprisingly, she promises to strip completely naked if the President wins...

As the presidential campaign grinds to an end, Americans are gaining a better understanding of Barack Obama. He was challenged by Mitt Romney in the presidential debates and became clearly rattled. As a result, the race that was his to lose is now too close to call, with a slight edge to the challenger. To avoid losing to a candidate who, is a good debater, but a poor campaigner, the President is pulling out all the stops in his desperate quest to hold on to power. Of course, Barack Obama does not want to give up the tremendous perks associated...

Even liberal commentator Alan Colmes expressed outrage about Longoria’s actions and recommended that she resign or be fired from the Obama campaign. If a campaign co-chair acts like a fool, it is no wonder that so many Obama supporters are acting in an overly emotional and irrational way in the final days of the race. It is time for the adults in the Obama campaign to restore calm among their ranks; otherwise it could get very ugly very quickly.

The tragic murder of four Americans, including our Ambassador Christopher Stevens, in Benghazi, Libya on September 11 has never been adequately explained by the Obama administration. Initially, the Obama White House claimed that an obscure anti-Islam movie led to protests that eventually resulted in a mob attack on the consulate.

African American actress Stacy Dash has formally endorsed Mitt Romney for President. The actress tweeted that Americans should “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future.” This simple statement set off an angry firestorm of complaints on the Internet. Liberals denounced her for not being “black enough,” hurled vile insults at her and some even recommended that she kill herself.

After a pathetic debate performance, liberals are no longer so confident that Barack Obama is a lock for re-election. Until the showdown on stage in Denver, liberals had been quite confident their man would prevail, citing battleground state polls that favored the President. Seems they popped the champagne bottles too early as new polls show Romney received a bump from his strong showing in the first debate.

There are just a few short weeks until the presidential election and most polls show a very tight race. While the mainstream news media is declaring President Obama slightly ahead in most polls, some analysts like Dick Morris of Fox News believe that the pollsters are skewing the data to give the incumbent an advantage. Whatever the exact poll numbers, almost everyone believes it will be very close. Yet, with the situation in our country and throughout the world, this election should not be close at all. It is an outrage that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney is not leading...

The murder of a U.S. Ambassador is not only tragic, but it is also very unusual. It was the first time in 33 years an American diplomat had been killed while serving this nation. This is a major incident that should lead to congressional investigations and a full review of what happened. Since this incident occurred, the Obama administration has been unable to keep their story straight. Initially, the administration said the attack was a violent reaction to an amateurish anti-Muslim movie. Eventually, this cover story fell apart causing Jay Carney, the President’s Press Secretary, to finally admit that it...

On the campaign trail and in media interviews, Mitt Romney is usually very cautious, making bland comments on the issues of the day. In “off the record” chats with major donors, he obviously tells the real unvarnished truth. It is time some of this real truth made its way into his campaign speeches. According to the lame stream media, his presidential campaign is now consumed in another sham controversy. The candidate appeared at a hastily arranged news conference late last night to respond to a leaked video taken at a fundraising dinner May 17 in Boca Raton, Florida.

f we had a decent media in this country, reporters would be demanding to know why there was such limited security in Libya and other countries on the anniversary of 9/11. President Obama sent in a U.S. Marine contingent, but at that point, it was too little, too late to save Ambassador Stevens and his team. Other troubling reports have surfaced in recent days that Stevens and his colleagues were not only beaten to death, but raped as well. This horrific brutality contradicts official reports that the Ambassador died of smoke inhalation.

Thankfully the Democratic National Convention is over and there will be no more television images of women wailing at the sound of Barack Obama’s voice. Many convention delegates seemed to be in a trance while listening to the President's speech. Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth, most viewers observed a rather uninspiring speech. In his address, Obama gave no specifics, only more platitudes about “citizenship” and “green energy” and other nonsense.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, talk show host Bill Cunningham was accused of racism. His crime was to use the full name of Barack Hussein Obama at a campaign rally. To liberals, including Republican nominee John McCain, it was somehow racist to mention Obama’s middle name. Never mind that the President has often referred to his middle name and it was heard by millions of Americans when he took the oath of office. Incredibly, Cunningham had crossed some sort of imaginary line created by the liberal news media and Democrats who work full time to protect Barack Obama. Now, four...

On Monday’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas confessed that she celebrated her gold medal by enjoying a McDonald’s Egg McMuffin. For a 16 year-old who has been training for years and working non-stop such a guilty pleasure was certainly deserved. Unfortunately, seated next to Gabby on the couch was First Lady Michelle Obama, the nation’s unofficial health and wellness czar. She was taken aback by the youngster’s “shocking” meal choice. She told Douglas that “you’re setting me back” and that in her view Americans should not be encouraged to eat Egg McMuffins.

he GOP is slowly releasing the names of speakers for the upcoming convention in Tampa. Today it was announced that former presidential candidate Rick Santorum would address the delegates. Among the other confirmed speakers is former Republican Party presidential candidate U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ). As the Republican Party prepares to challenge an incumbent President in November, it needs to have total unity in its ranks. One good way to solidify support from conservatives and Tea Party activists who are lukewarm toward presumptive nominee Mitt Romney is to invite former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to speak at the convention.

In fact, Ted Turner, the founder of CNN, invented the cable news format in the 1980’s. The network created such iconic programs as “Crossfire” and was must-see viewing for Americans interested in politics and news coverage.

Our universities are supposed to be citadels of learning, where the free exchange of ideas is encouraged. Sadly, some liberal activists are more interested in promoting a groupthink mentality where no dissent from left wing orthodoxy is allowed. So, wacko leftists like Michael Moore are encouraged to speak, while principled conservatives like Ann Coulter face hostile protests. This type of reaction is not limited to college campuses as it can be seen throughout the...
