Plan B, Boehner, Betrayal and bloated budgets

After House Speaker John Boehner was unable to muster enough support for his “Plan B” proposal, the Congress has adjourned for the holidays. At this point, Republicans should stay home until the new Congress convenes in 2013.

A deal like “Plan B” that raises taxes on those making over $1 million per year and offers limited spending cuts over 10 years will do nothing to solve our underlying fiscal problems.

No one presently in office is prepared to deal with the underlying fiscal problem.

Which is, if you spend twice what you take in, it means your government is twice the size you are willing to pay for.

No fiscal plan that doesn't include a radical re-thinking of the scope and reach of government is a fiscal plan that does nothing at all except guarantee that the ship hits the iceberg. 20 knots, or 19.9 knots isn't worth arguing about.
