The bicyclist doesn’t remember seeing the youths run at him as he pedaled home late Tuesday afternoon on the Metropolitan Branch Trail, but he certainly recalls one knocking him off his bike and at least a dozen others piling on, punching and kicking him in the head. What the 37-year-old can’t understand is why they did it. They didn’t take his $500 bicycle. They ignored his cellphone. They didn’t want the $20 in his wallet. In fact, the victim said, “I didn’t hear a word.” And the lack of apparent motive is haunting the married father of two, who uses...

After one murder and who knows how many beatings, city officials finally admitted the Knockout Game has come to Syracuse. Absent one fact: The Knockout Game is part of an epidemic of black mob violence played hundreds of times across the country. It is documented in “White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.” But the chief of police and the mayor could not bring themselves to say it. Talking with reporters Thursday night, they said the violence was a “random … teenage” thing. One week after the fatal attack, the Syracuse...

CLEVELAND (AP) — A brawl that started over spilled punch at a kindergarten graduation ceremony Friday resulted in the arrest of eight people, authorities said. Police were called when one participant pulled out a pipe and another a hammer.

This past Thursday, George Zimmerman's attorneys released new evidence relevant to the upcoming trial of their client on a second-degree murder charge for the shooting of Trayvon Martin. The Martin family attorneys say the evidence is irrelevant. They are wrong. It is damning. The text messages and photos from Martin's cell phone tell a story wildly at odds with the one the State of Florida and the media have been peddling for more than a year, but one altogether truer and sadder. In the way of recap, in February 2012, Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, Florida, shot and...

With just two weeks remaining before his trial, George Zimmerman's attorneys returned to court this morning for an important pre-trial hearing. Circuit Judge Debra S. A Syracuse man was beaten to death outside the Los Amigos Market in Syracuse Thursday night. 51-year old Michael Daniels was standing alone outside the store around 9:40 pm when he was attacked by a group of teenagers. Police say a group of three to five black males punched him repeatedly and kicked him in the head while he was on the ground. They also say the attack was unprovoked. …

George Zimmerman’s defense team recently filed a Discovery Exhibit indicating they may seek to introduce a litany of unfavorable evidence about Trayvon Martin. Among the items the defense listed was evidence of marijuana use, text messages showing an participation in street fighting, and school disciplinary records...... As can be expected, the reaction from Trayvon Martin’s family was swift and indignant..... the Martin family attorneys were accusing the defense of engaging in Character Assassination. And while “character assassination may be tolerated in some places, it has no place in the administration of justice.” State v. Beggs, 51 So. 2d 423 (Fla....

Kansas City councilman Jermaine Reed wanted to have an “honest” discussion on race. But like Attorney General Eric Holder and former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien, who made similar pleas before him, he did not really say more than that. Green’s call for honest talk came after three years and dozens of episodes of black mob violence at the Plaza in Kansas City. He wanted an explanation as to why police only cited black people. I could not tell if he was unhappy with the black people for frequent and large-scale episodes of mob violence – or with the police for...

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The FBI could step in to help Baton Rouge Police with an alleged fight at a gas station with three black suspects and a white family. It's a story that's grabbed national attention with cries for justice on social networks. The face of the 41-year-old victim from Sunday night's argument shows a broken nose, a broken eye socket and cuts to the face. It happened at the Chevron Gas Station on Scenic Highway off Plank Road. The family does not want their names or identity released just yet, but he did tell WAFB's Kiran Chawla...

PITTSBURGH — An Ohio Township police officer returned to work just days after he was assaulted by a group of men while he was off-duty on the city’s South Side. According to police, the officer told police he was walking on 19th Street between Jane and Sarah streets when he noticed a group of at least five people walking toward him. As the off-duty officer, 26, approached the group, he said he moved out of the way and was going to let them pass by. The victim told detectives that a black male, about 6 feet 3 inches tall wearing...

New Orleans police and federal authorities were searching early Tuesday for a young man who is suspected of opening fire at a Mother's Day parade in New Orleans, wounding 19. Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas identified the suspect late Monday as Akein Scott, 19, of New Orleans. Referring to blurry surveillance camera images of the mass shooting, Serpas said police have "multiple identifications of Akein Scott as the shooter" seen in the film. Serpas said officers would be searching all night and into Tuesday for Scott, whom he called "no stranger to the criminal justice system." He urged the teen, who...

New Orleans (CNN) -- A suspect has been identified in a New Orleans parade shooting that left 19 people injured. Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said that authorities are looking for 19-year-old Akein Scott. Serpas said New Orleans police are familiar with Scott, who was arrested in March and may be out on bond. "I would recommend strongly that Mr. Scott contact anybody who he is comfortable with to turn himself in," Serpas said. When asked if Scott was the lone shooter, Serpas said it was still early in the investigation. The superintendent credited several people calling a Crimestoppers tip line...

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) - Three people, including a teenager, were sent to the hospital on Mother's Day after they were attacked at a local gas station. Officials say the incident was unprovoked and do not believe it was a robbery attempt. Officials say a family - a 36-year-old male, a 41-year-old female and a 14-year-old female - stopped at a gas station located at the intersection of Scenic and Plank at roughly 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. As the man was waiting in line to pay for his gas, he was approached by the suspect. Investigators with the...

The Minister Louis Farrakhan’s son, Mustapha, is making headlines in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs after some intriguing claims were made in a Chicago Sun-Times article on Sunday. A registered police officer with the Harvey Police Department in Harvey, Illinois, Mustapa allegedly hasn’t worked a shift in more than four years. However, that’s not what’s raising eyebrows. According to state records, a lack of employment activity with the police force hasn’t stopped the man, known as “Supreme Captain” of the Nation of Islam (a title that means he could one day take his father’s place) from purportedly exercising police duties....

(Editor’s note: Colin Flaherty has done more reporting than any other journalist on what appears to be a nationwide trend of skyrocketing black-on-white crime, violence and abuse. WND features these reports to counterbalance the virtual blackout by the rest of the media due to their concerns that reporting such incidents would be inflammatory or even racist. WND considers it racist not to report racial abuse solely because of the skin color of the perpetrators or victims.) Welcome to the new normal: Large-scale black mob violence is busting out in Philadelphia, Chicago, Utica, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Wilmington (Delaware), Greenville (South Carolina),...

These are very close to the words I have heard spoken by a number of liberal white and especially black politicos, who refuse to seriously address the rampant violent crime problem experienced in our larger Democrat cities. Its as if anyone who shouts out about the carnage of black on black crime is immediately castigated as a racist. The term "racist" has forever been associated with The Man, or The Power people, IOW whites, so that it is unthinkable that blacks can actually even be capable of hating whites. But, that is what many of us feel - hatred - from black...

Attorney General Eric Holder expressed “concern” Thursday evening that black men are unfairly served with longer prison sentences than white men and that America’s prison system demands overhaul. “Too many people go to too many prisons for far too long for no good law enforcement reason,” Mr. Holder said, in remarks to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in New York, Politico reported. “It is time to ask ourselves some fundamental questions about our criminal justice system. … It is time to examine our systems and determine what truly works.” Mr. Holder said in the Politico report that state...

Chicago’s murder statistics tell a story of young black males without fathers and at risk. The date was January 12, 2013. You probably didn’t hear about this tragedy involving guns and two teenage boys. But this was the headline in the Chicago Tribune: “Boys, 14 and 15, killed in separate shootings Friday.” You didn’t hear about it because such events aren’t news in Chicago. They’re ordinary daily occurrences. As we continue to hear calls for ever-tightening gun laws from the Obama administration, and from states such as New York, it is worth thinking about those headlines in Chicago. And in inner...

A splintered black community will not see an end to the violence afflicting inner cities. White people must accept responsibility for their role in destroying the black community. And America needs to start targeting the unseen gun runners selling guns to gang bangers. All those were among the messages controversial Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan delivered to a packed house at St. Sabina Catholic Church on Friday. “Our children are out there killing themselves and one another. My beloved brother lost his daughter to senseless violence,” Farrakhan said of Nathaniel Pendleton — father of 15-year-old murder victim Hadiya...

Here’s some good news: Demetrius Murphy, one of the original members of a gang of Black teenagers who roam the streets of St. Louis attacking people as they “play” the Knockout Game, is dead. He was shot and killed recently while preparing to break into the wrong home and met someone who was armed and not afraid to defend himself. It happened that the home owner is White and Murphy was Black. In ordinary times this shouldn’t mean anything, but in this case it does. Murphy instigated this confrontation because he preferred White victims – well actually any victims but...

EDITOR’S NOTE: The links in the following report may contain offensive language. The Detroit News wants you to know the black mob violence in Detroit over the weekend was limited to under 100 people. Which is not true. They also would like you know it was an “isolated” event. Which is also not true. And you could “get crazy people anywhere.” So it is not fair to single out Detroit. Which is so far from the truth you have to wonder if even the people at the Detroit News believe it. Others are saying this just more of the usual...

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Violent, thieving mobs have been making headlines across the country for the past few years, and now they have hit New York City. And Maurice Dubois reported in this CBS 2 investigation, the teen mobs have left neighborhoods worried as businesses take matters into their own hands. Judson Bennett, 78, recently ran into a violent group of teens – often described with the once-benign term “flash mob” – as he made his daily trip to buy a newspaper at his favorite news team. “I’m approaching the newsstand, and then suddenly there is a tremendous force...

The NAACP's ludicrous idea to sue gun manufacturers is yet another attempt by the left to avoid personal responsibility for some individuals' bad behavior. When the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People announced plans recently to file an injunctive class-action suit “to force [gun manufacturers] to distribute their product responsibly,” the NAACP president, Kweisi Mfume, noted that gun violence takes a disproportionately high toll among young black males.According to an NAACP press release, African-American males between the ages of 15 and 24 are almost five times more likely to be injured by firearms than are white males in...

ROCK HILL — A York man who, court records show, had just been released from jail (Saturday Morning) on weapons and drug charges, is accused of fatally shooting a 31-year-old father-of-five in a Rock Hill home invasion Sunday morning. Following a public policy meeting of African-American leaders, National Urban League president Marc Morial and National Action Network president Al Sharpton called for a new national assault weapons ban, saying the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution should be regulated. “Absolutely, I mean if you look at the Second Amendment it was that you would have militia to protect yourself in case the government came and attacked citizens,” he responded. “First of all, if the government were to come to disarm you, you would not be able to use an automatic weapon to defend yourself. Let’s be serious. We’re in...

In an interview with YourBlackWorld.net, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan interpreted the movie Django Unchained as "preparation for a race war." “To me, the movie had a purpose,” he said. “If a black man came out of that movie thinking like Django and white people came out of that movie seeing the slaughter of white people and they are armed to the teeth, it’s preparation for a race war.”

The United States has far more violent deaths than any other wealthy nation in part because there are so many residents who own guns and store them in unlocked places in their homes. The lax gun rules are a major contributor to the low life expectancy rate that Americans have compared to their global counterparts. That claim comes just weeks after the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School and as politicians make calls for stricter gun controls. The United States has about six violent deaths per 100,000 residents and none of the 16 other countries included in the review...

**SNIP** Although it’s difficult to pinpoint a single cause for last year’s increase, statistics show the early part of 2012 suffered the biggest spike in homicides. Experts and some law enforcement sources believe the unseasonable warmth that hit Chicago during that period contributed to a homicide spike as high as 66 percent in April, and the month of March—the warmest March on record in Chicago--was especially hit hard when there were 53 homicides, up from 23 in March 2011. **SNIP** Even though Chicago has the most police officers per 100,000 people out the five major U.S. cities, many within the...

Whether it be a mass casualty shooting at a school or other public space in the United States or the regularly occurring gun violence on the streets of Chicago, “the people who are civilized must care enough to stop it now,” the Rev. Noting that, “It’s easier (in the United States) to buy a gun than a cup of coffee,” Jackson said, “None of...

An article published in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday reported that while the number of homicides has decreased over the last decade (2001-2011) due to improvements in medical technology, the number of people treated for gunshot wounds increased by almost half. At the same time, medical data and other surveys in the U.S. show a rising...

The judge set bail for Brown at $20,000. The 16-week-old puppy was found on fire in a yard on Buffalo's east side on Oct. 29. Named Phoenix by his rescuers, the dog is recovering at an animal hospital with burned ears, an ankle infection, and blistered eyelids.

Racist thugs camped outside polling places is not voter intimidation… when they’re black racist thugs. Obama’s Atty General Eric Holder got these particular racist thugs off hoping for exactly this outcome. The New Black Panther Party would not be intimidating voters if the Justice Department had not aggressively intervened on their behalf. Had their prior voter intimidation acts led to serious consequences, we would not be seeing this now. This is voter intimidation arranged for by the Obama Administration with hardly enough plausible deniability to wrap a microdot in. And the Black Panthers aren’t just outside the polling places. They’re...

Cook County Reporter ldonovan@suntimes.com Drawing the ire of the gun lobby, Cook County Board President Preckwinkle is eyeing a violence tax on guns and ammunition sold in the city and suburbs, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned. Such a tax alone wouldn’t close a $115 million budget gap in 2013, but it could at least funnel money into the county’s $3 billion operation — where roughly two-thirds of the budget pays for both the county’s public health clinics and two hospitals along with the criminal justice system that includes the courts and jail. “If we were to pursue a tax on...

The lawyer for Trayvon Martin’s parents harshly criticized efforts by George Zimmerman’s attorneys to obtain the school records and Facebook information for the deceased 17-year-old high school student, saying they were irrelevant to the case. “Zimmerman’s lawyers are attempting to assassinate Trayvon Martin’s character,” said Benjamin Crump, in an interview with BET.com. “Whatever Trayvon had on his Facebook page or whatever was in his school records have nothing to do with why Zimmerman shot him.”
