Unbelievably, Shep Smith just felt it necessary to push out some exit poll data that he says indicates that among those who only recently made their decision, those voters are going for Romney or Santorum. And this is with the polls still open. I have to ask, why is he pushing out exit polling data that clearly could have a negative effect on one candidate's turnout? This is even worse than CNN's coverage of exit poll data. CNN has only been breaking it down by Conservative/Evangelical/income levels, etc.

As a white, male, middle-aged conservative talk radio host from Virginia, John Fredericks is something close to the Platonic ideal of a Fox News fan. And until last year, he was one. But then Fox’s treatment of the Republican primary race — the presentation of Karl Rove as a political analyst despite his having “thrown in for Romney” and Sean Hannity’s clear ties to the Republican establishment — began to grate on him. The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City. Fox and Friends had Luntz on this morning (the supposed "finger on the pulse of America" guru) and he was reviewing two commericals, one from the GOP and one from MoveOn.org when he stated without pause that "Since Romney is the Nominee" and then he quickly corrected himself saying the "Presumptive Nominee". In a Fox News poll released Wednesday, Romney received the backing of 18 percent of GOP primary voters. He's followed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry at 13 percent, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann at 11 percent and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani at 10 percent. Perry and Giuliani have not declared their candidacies. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, also undeclared, is now in single digits at 8 percent support, and Texas Congressman Ron Paul garners the support of 7 percent. Chris Wallace is back again commenting on one of his interviews, but this time he is also apologizing. Earlier today he interviewed Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann and rather bluntly asked her “are you a flake?” It’s a question that Wallace now admits he regrets. Wallace acknowledged that Bachmann seemed perturbed by the question and then addressed his viewers:
