  • Shep Smith on Fox openly discouraging Gingrich vote-polls still open.

Unbelievably, Shep Smith just felt it necessary to push out some exit poll data that he says indicates that among those who only recently made their decision, those voters are going for Romney or Santorum. And this is with the polls still open. I have to ask, why is he pushing out exit polling data that clearly could have a negative effect on one candidate's turnout? This is even worse than CNN's coverage of exit poll data. CNN has only been breaking it down by Conservative/Evangelical/income levels, etc.

As a white, male, middle-aged conservative talk radio host from Virginia, John Fredericks is something close to the Platonic ideal of a Fox News fan. And until last year, he was one. But then Fox’s treatment of the Republican primary race — the presentation of Karl Rove as a political analyst despite his having “thrown in for Romney” and Sean Hannity’s clear ties to the Republican establishment — began to grate on him. So he changed the channel.

  • Luntz on Fox News This Morning : Romney is the Nominee ...

Fox and Friends had Luntz on this morning (the supposed "finger on the pulse of America" guru) and he was reviewing two commericals, one from the GOP and one from MoveOn.org when he stated without pause that "Since Romney is the Nominee" and then he quickly corrected himself saying the "Presumptive Nominee". What I found interesting was how matter-of-fact he said it, as if he knows, and has been told that Romney is already chosen and it will be so. I found it very disturbing honestly because I don't think it was a mistake, it was a slip of the...

In a Fox News poll released Wednesday, Romney received the backing of 18 percent of GOP primary voters. He's followed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry at 13 percent, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann at 11 percent and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani at 10 percent. Perry and Giuliani have not declared their candidacies. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, also undeclared, is now in single digits at 8 percent support, and Texas Congressman Ron Paul garners the support of 7 percent. All other candidates receive the support of 5 percent or less. Palin supporters splinter when asked their second choice,...
  • Chris Wallace On Michele Bachmann’s ‘Flake’ Question: ‘I Messed Up, I’m Sorry’

Chris Wallace is back again commenting on one of his interviews, but this time he is also apologizing. Earlier today he interviewed Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann and rather bluntly asked her “are you a flake?” It’s a question that Wallace now admits he regrets. Wallace acknowledged that Bachmann seemed perturbed by the question and then addressed his viewers:

Recently we had a series of discussions with someone familiar with the inside dealings of Fox News regarding the way Fox News treats Governor Palin. While I don’t condone using anonymous sources (I usually make fun of those citing anonymous sources) unfortunately we can’t not reveal the source. So we have therefore gathered the evidence that will back up everything we were told and it’s up to the reader to come to his or her own conclusion. Whichever way you look at it, the evidence is astonishing on how Fox News is out to sabotage Governor Palin. When Roger Ailes hired...
  • Campaign: No Magical Explanation for O'Donnell's 'Witchcraft' Confession

Sorcery did not force Christine O'Donnell to cancel her Sunday show appearances nor does the Delaware Senate Republican nominee's campaign offer any magical explanation for her 1999 confession that she "dabbled into witchcraft." O'Donnell's campaign insists the Tea Party-backed nominee decided to attend church and a Republican Party picnic in Sussex County, Del., rather than appear on national news shows Sunday, even as it was forced to respond to a newly released video of O'Donnell on a talk show talking about her dalliances with the dark arts. O'Donnell had been scheduled to appear on "Fox News Sunday" but canceled late...
