Campaign: No Magical Explanation for O'Donnell's 'Witchcraft' Confession

Sorcery did not force Christine O'Donnell to cancel her Sunday show appearances nor does the Delaware Senate Republican nominee's campaign offer any magical explanation for her 1999 confession that she "dabbled into witchcraft."

O'Donnell's campaign insists the Tea Party-backed nominee decided to attend church and a Republican Party picnic in Sussex County, Del., rather than appear on national news shows Sunday, even as it was forced to respond to a newly released video of O'Donnell on a talk show talking about her dalliances with the dark arts.

O'Donnell had been scheduled to appear on "Fox News Sunday" but canceled late Friday. CBS' "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer said Sunday he received an e-mail from O'Donnell's campaign denying that she backed out at the last minute from appearing on his show because of the tape released by comedian Bill Maher.

"'No, that is not the reason. We weren't aware that he had released this tape until yesterday afternoon,'" Schieffer said, reading the e-mail on his show.

"As for dabbling in witchcraft, whatever that is, her campaign spokesman said, 'Campaigns about what she did as a teen is hardly a worry to her or the people of Delaware,'" Schieffer said.

Is it worse to dabble in witchcraft, communism, or cocaine?

How about communism and cocaine?

Mr. Obama, hmm?

We already have a witch in the House. In fact, she’s in charge of the House. Why shouldn’t we have a witch in the Senate?

COD doesn’t need to do national tv shows or even grant interviews at this point. She needs to meet voters and use that $2 mil to saturate the airwaves. She can win that way. See Whitman, Meg.

If she was a liberal Democrat, the media would be praising for dabbling in it and accusing anyone that objected to her doing so of being a bigot.

I agree, the huffing and puffing by the media is just icing on the cake. And just to show how low they will go they are jumping into bed with Maher who said:
“We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That’s cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it’s not cowardly.”
Bill Maher quote”

The campaign manager should have said "watch the tape', it's worth a thousand words.

If you watch the tape in it's entirety, as I did, it's nothing more than entertainment, of 3 liberals pouncing on a young conservative. Hosted by screwball Mayer.

I hope they play all the tapes, IMO O'Donnell comes out on top.

Boy, they just won’t give up. They must not realize that the more they pound on her, the most popular she becomes.

Notice how the media has absolutely NO misgivings about jumping into bed with a disgusting pig like Maher.

How soon they forget:
“But isn’t there something wrong when I’m the ONLY guy in the country that got fired for 9/11?”
Bill Maher quote

Michelle Malkin writes about THE CONTEXT (never forget about THE ALL IMPORTANT CONTEXT, my dear fellow FReepers) of Christine's statements, which were edited out by THE PUKE Maher:

At 1:03 in the video, one of the panelists on the show criticizes O’Donnell for criticizing Halloween — “Wait a minute, I love this, you’re a witch, you go ‘Halloween is bad,’ I’m not the witch, I mean wait a minute.” She responds by explaining that she opposes witchcraft because she has had first-hand experience with what they do.

So, she tried it. She rejected it. And she learned from it.

See also the complete clip embedded with Michelle's post.

I'm glad Christine cancelled. The Delaware voters need to meet her without the filters of the MSM, which is just salivating over the prospect of a Palin/Couric redeux. Whoever advised her to go to local events instead is the New Architect. It looks like she's finally getting some good advice.

YEEESSSSS, thank you MM.

Where is the outrage. Taking vids out of context. Slimey media types. Flaming hypocrits.

Does O’Donnell get to sue like sherrod?

What, did she burn a candle at 16 in hopes of making some boy like her? Find out it doesn’t work? Make a joke about it later in life and now that’s all they can talk about?

IMO, those who are bringing her dalliance with witchcraft to light are hoping this old news causes grief for Evangelical Christians. These so-called news organizations are actively campaigning against her and will do whatever it takes to cause her to lose votes and the election. The result is they are showing just how scared they are.
