Fox News released a brutal statement Tuesday reacting to the announcement from the Donald Trump campaign that he would be bowing out of the next Republican presidential debate. "As many of our viewers know, FOX News is hosting a sanctioned debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday night, three days before the first votes of the 2016 election are cast in the Iowa Caucus. Donald Trump is refusing to debate seven of his fellow presidential candidates on stage that night, which is near unprecedented," the statement read. The network accused the campaign of leveling terroristic threats against debate moderator and...

2016 GOP POWER INDEX: JEB BREAKS DOWN, RUBIO RACES AHEAD In what could end up being the final pairing of the Republican nominating contest two 44-year-old Cuban American senators hold the top two spots in this week’s 2016 GOP Power Index. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, remains the FNF favorite to win the votes of Republican insurgents. Cruz is running a disciplined campaign and mostly avoiding the candidate-on-candidate violence of the cycle. And he is raising enough money to burn a wet elephant. But on the other side of the map, the terrain is shifting. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is consolidating...

What I saw on TV today was an Outstanding Exit Speech from Newt Gingrich. He itemized his past successes, goals and big ideas that he will continue to push. Ideas such as US Energy Independence, Personal Social Security Accounts, Brain Science Research, Debt Reduction, Conservative Judges, etc. So what do Shepherd Smith and Ed Rollins talk about after the speech. Shep said Newt was delusional. Rollins said Newt gave one of the worst exit speeches ever. They did not comment on the specifics of any of the exciting ideas that Newt wants to continue to push. I am convinced the...

Washington D.C. – Marco Rubio says he wants his version of the DREAM Act in effect by fall, just in time for undocumented students to be able to attend college fall semester. Rubio, in two separate events in Washington D.C., said his plan is still being hammered out, and important details – such as the minimum and maximum age of those who would qualify – were yet to be determined. “We’re involving the DREAMers” in the drafting of the measure, he said, using the term that refers to undocumented youth brought to the country by their parents. “We’re involving the...

As former Speaker Newt Gingrich continues his increasingly long-shot presidential campaign, focusing heavily on the state of Delaware, he’s begun opening up and speaking more candidly about the state of the Republican Party and other topics. At a private meeting with more than a dozen Tea Party group leaders in Delaware, Gingrich griped about Fox News Channel’s coverage of the Republican race, complaining that the network was in the bag for Mitt Romney from the very start. “I think FOX has been for Romney all the way through,” Gingrich is quoted by RealClearPolitics as saying. “In our experience, Callista and...

DOVER, Del. -- During a meeting with 18 Delaware Tea Party leaders here on Wednesday, Newt Gingrich lambasted The Fox News Channel, accusing the cable news network that employed him as recently as last year of having been in the tank for Mitt Romney from the beginning of the Republican presidential fight and singling out former colleagues for attacking him out of what he characterized as personal jealousy. "I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through," Gingrich said...

April 5, 2012 I was listening to FOX News (Haaah!) on the radio this morning and they announced Santorum was taking four days off from the campaign, then they announced...proclaimed, Romney on the other hand is hard at work in Pennsylvania. It was so biased...excuse me...we have Good Friday and it is Easter this weekend.

Unbelievably, Shep Smith just felt it necessary to push out some exit poll data that he says indicates that among those who only recently made their decision, those voters are going for Romney or Santorum. And this is with the polls still open. I have to ask, why is he pushing out exit polling data that clearly could have a negative effect on one candidate's turnout? This is even worse than CNN's coverage of exit poll data. CNN has only been breaking it down by Conservative/Evangelical/income levels, etc.

I haven't watched Fox News Channel since the day Fox and Drudge all went on their Romney brainwashing spree. Today I decided I would watch my television before browsing FR. Tried CNN, and within 15 seconds of turning on the channel there was some "news" about some gay guy. Sure it's possible, maybe something actually did happen to a gay guy this week, but I am certain there were at least 10,000 more important things which happened in the world just so far this morning than some gay guy. Media, just shut up about gay guys. We don't actually care...

As a white, male, middle-aged conservative talk radio host from Virginia, John Fredericks is something close to the Platonic ideal of a Fox News fan. And until last year, he was one. But then Fox’s treatment of the Republican primary race — the presentation of Karl Rove as a political analyst despite his having “thrown in for Romney” and Sean Hannity’s clear ties to the Republican establishment — began to grate on him. So he changed the channel.

Another chance to make a first impression? Fresh off a rousing debate performance that had the Republican audience giving a standing ovation -- the first in a debate since Ronald Reagan in New Hampshire in 1980 -- Newt Gingrich may be reconsidering how far he can go in the GOP campaign. Holding a distant second place in several polls, Gingrich said Tuesday that he could stick it out past South Carolina if he performs well enough against front-runner Mitt Romney. MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Republican candidates were returning to the campaign trail Tuesday slightly bruised but unbowed after a raucous debate that left Mitt Romney fielding attacks from the get-go and all five candidates earning wild reception from a fired-up audience that will be casting votes alongside fellow South Carolinians on Saturday. Romney was put on defense out of the box at the Fox News/Wall Street Journal/South Carolina GOP debate -- answering questions about his record at private venture firm, Bain Capital; distancing himself from super PAC ads against fellow candidates; defending his record as Massachusetts governor, and dodging...

Because Fox has put off the best Republican candidates, Barack Obama will be much less vulnerable at the election. Whoever wrote the political rulebook needs to start rewriting it. It used to be an iron maxim that voters' most vital organ was neither their head nor their heart, but their wallet. If they were suffering economically, they'd throw the incumbents out. Yet in Britain a coalition presiding over barely-there growth, rising unemployment and forecasts of gloom stretching to the horizon is holding steady in the opinion polls, while in the US Barack Obama is mired in horrible numbers – except...
