Radio personality Mike Evans, who says he was mistaken when he told a radio station that Gov. Neil Abercrombie said there is no birth certificate in Hawaii for Barack Obama, now says he's going to be grilling the governor on the issue, if he can get hold of him. WND reported earlier this week when Evans said in an interview with 92 KQRS Morning Show in Minneapolis, "Yesterday, talking to Neil's office, Neil says that he's searched everywhere using his powers as governor at the Kapi'olani Women's and Children's Hospital and Queens Hospital, the only places where kids were born...

Published in Iran, it consists of short biographies of Islamic suicide bombers and other Islamic militants who died carrying out attacks.

The President’s State of the Union address boiled down to this message: “The era of big government is here as long as I am, so help me pay for it.” He dubbed it a “Winning The Future” speech, but the title’s acronym seemed more accurate than much of the content. Americans are growing impatient with a White House that still just doesn’t get it. The President proves he doesn’t understand that the biggest challenge facing our economy is today’s runaway debt when he states we want to make sure “we don’t get buried under a mountain a debt.” That’s the...

Obama's State of the Union Was Tantamount to Plagiarism January 26, 2011 By Alvin Felzenberg If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, what can be said of plagiarism? President Obama’s second State of the Union address contained enough recycled ideas and lines lifted from speeches of others to make historians wince. I suppose this is what one does when one not only has nothing new to say, but is required by custom and Constitution to come forth with a report of some kind by a certain time and day. Had Obama or his writers been considerate enough to have...

Dugway Proving Ground, in Utah’s western desert, was placed on lockdown Wednesday evening. Al Vogel, a public affairs specialist for the installation, would only say that the lockdown began at 5:24 p.m. Employees were not allowed to leave, and those coming to work were not allowed in. Vogel said there were no injuries, no damage and no threats reported at the proving ground. There were about 1,200 to 1,400 people at Dugway when the lockdown occurred. Dugway Proving Ground is a U.S. Army testing and training base in Tooele County where military weapons are tested.

Meghan McCain appeared on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’ Donnell and tried her best to grill Michelle Bachmann by referring to her as a “poor man’s Sarah Palin.” She said: I think it’s important to note that Michelle Bachmann is not a leader, and she’s not the leader of the Republican party. Michelle Bachmann in my opinion is no better than a poor man’s Sarah Palin and I think the fact that MSNBC and Fox elected not to run this is admirable to the kind of journalism that Fox and MSNBC is airing. I think CNN should be...

Who would have thought something seemingly as juvenile as having a so-called prom date would give an aura of maturity? At Tuesday’s State of the Union address, according to California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, it did. Boxer appeared on MSNBC’s special State of the Union night edition of “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” O’Donnell asked Boxer and her “date,” Rep. John Mica, Florida Republican, if this seating arrangement made a difference.

Lawyers working for a retired military officer who is challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president say the U.S. Supreme Court appears to have broken its own rules by failing to respond to a pending recusal motion, thus conceding the point and possibly requiring a new conference vote among the seven remaining justices, including four mostly conservative, on whether the high court will hear arguments over Obama's legitimacy. Laurence Elgin, one of the experts working with the Constitutional Rule of Law Fund and website, told WND that the issue arose in the case brought by retired Col. Greg Hollister, who...

Genghis Khan's Mongol invasion in the 13th and 14th centuries was so vast that it may have been the first instance in history of a single culture causing man-made climate change, according to new research out of the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology, reports Mongabay.com. Unlike modern day climate change, however, the Mongol invasion cooled the planet, effectively scrubbing around 700 million tons of carbon from the atmosphere. So how did Genghis Khan, one of history's cruelest conquerors, earn such a glowing environmental report card? The reality may be a bit difficult for today's environmentalists to stomach, but Khan...

UPDATED 1/17/11 New analysis of Democrat Party's official 2008 Certification of Nominations for Obama reveals that reasons for his sudden trip to Hawaii in October, 2008 were to visit more than just his sick grandmother. Breaking News: (From a radio interview) Mike Evans, of Hollywood Reporter, has been a friend of Gov. Abercrombie's for "decades". Evans spoke to him yesterday. "Neil and I spent a lot of time together during Obama's Inauguration. He promised me that he when he became Governor, he was going to cut thru all the BS and find absolute proof that "Barry" was born in Hawaii. Well, I spoke to him YESTERDAY and Abercrombie told me "He searched everywhere using his powers as governor, and... There is NO Barack Obama Birth Certificate in Hawaii ... absolutely no proof at all that...

It was my online friend narciso, the pen name of a brilliant commenter on the day's events, who first summed up this week's folderol over Sarah Palin. "One is struck," he noted, " by how much Plato's 'Tale of the Cave' seems to fit this paradigm ... Those that only follow the networks, or the Times or USA Today, even, are always 'unexpectedly surprised,' when reality doesn't match the paradigm they've assimilated by osmosis." There was a lot of sage stuff online trying to explain what happened and why to Sarah Palin this week, and although I'll mention some of...

Pressure was mounting on Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie today amid increasing confusion over whether President Obama was born there. Abercrombie said on Tuesday that an investigation had unearthed papers proving Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961. He told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser: 'It actually exists in the archives, written down,' he said. But it became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate. And in the same interview Abercrombie suggested that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not...

I continue to believe that Sarah Palin is not yet qualified to be president, but my admiration for her continues to grow. Her interview with Sean Hannity, just aired, was almost pitch-perfect. It was dignified. It was well-modulated. It was strong. And it was thoughtful. She kept her composure even as Hannity put on the screen some of the vilest, most vicious attacks against her -- the sorts of things that were so bad that if they were said about me they might shake me to my core. She explained her thought process after hearing about the shooting in Tucson,...
