Heard On Rush...Can Anyone Confirm?
The Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | 10-26-2019 | OrangeHoof

Posted on 10/26/2019 5:56:15 AM PDT by OrangeHoof

I heard this in passing on Rush's show and am not a 24/7 subscriber so I am unable to verify this through his app or website or even know if he sourced it from another website or publication.

I'm not trying to confirm what he said, only hoping to confirm the truth of what he said.

That’s a great post and every word true.

I would never belittle psychiatrist or therapist help. It can be a life saver for some.

But the Bible is THE BEST Psychology book there is.

The recipes for peace and happiness are in it.

And it doesn’t charge you by the hour to read it lol

I had a doctor pretty much take almost a decade of my life and still leave me with some pretty tough physical problems to deal with.

I sued him and even though thee meds he gave me were EXTREMELY contraindicated, HIS FRIENDS (er, the medical board of NY) let him off the hook. That killed the lawsuit.

Showed up at his office twice with bad intentions and called his house many times until cops said next time it’s jail.

That was about 2 years after it happened. For another 3 or 4 I let my hatred of him consume me.

Then one day I just got tired of hating. And that’s when I started to get better.

The lingering issues are pain related. To look at me is to think I am fine.

And I am for the most part. God was good in healing me.

HATE likely prevented healing for those 3 extra years.

I didn’t read it either. I looked it up after hearing it in “Wrath of Khan” :)

What you say is absolutely true. I am very familiar with the realities of working life in DC. It is indeed hostile territory for all conservatives.

That said I think that Republicans bring a lot of it on themselves by being weak and fearful of criticism. Most of them have a country club mentality and seem to have trouble grasping the concept of standing up for your beliefs — and the consequences of not doing so. Weakness invites aggression. Always has, always will.

Trump is oftentimes the Lone Ranger. Many Republicans see him as an outsider and resent him for exposing their own weakness and corruption. For that he must be punished.

All too true. I have seen the effect many times. Working as a volunteer in numerous campaigns, I often clashed with "country club" Republicans at the local level.

Eventually, for some years, I worked for a state GOP party that won control of our state through hard work and aggressive, combative tactics. Remarkably, I have seen much backsliding since then. The natural default state of Republicans too often seems to be complacency and a desire to avoid a fight or bad press coverage.

Republicans in politics often think and act like kids from a prep school who have wandered into a bad neighborhood. They get roughed up, cry a bit, and then whine about how mean public school kids are. Wipe away your tears and learn how to fight, you dopes, one wants to say.

-- Wasn't the discussion concerning senators leaving to go campaign outside DC? --

Yes, it was. And the reason given that the could not go was that impeachment was the only business. But impeachment is not the only business for any extended period. My mistake thinking you would make that connection without it being spelled out.

The senators are supposed to be present for legislating too, but they absent themselves for campaigning.

Look, it's all the same to me if you believe Limbaugh. I'm not here to educate or persuade you. Go on your way and be happy!

Interesting to know that.

"Old sayings" and their origins can be quite fascinating... srsly. We did an original play on the subject when I was in 1st grade and I've been hooked for life.

So long as rules are not written in the Constitution they will be ignored or changed as needed.

If that’s the case, it also brings confirmation of judges to a screeching halt.

Maybe the house is holding impeachment in their pocket until Ginsberg passes away. Then send it to the Senate and force the Senate to obsess about Trump when they should be confirming Ginsberg’s successor.

I’m just an old man. I have no skills. I’m blind and deaf.

Sorta like the old man doorkeeper of the hideout in “Life of Brian.”

I am a thinker, not a doer.

I got the joke/meme

thank you. ‘lil ol me.

*************

I totally agree. Even inspirational leaders like Reagan and Trump seem to have been unable to change the party’s culture of weakness and appeasement. I hope that in the face of obvious Democrat bullying some in the GOP are starting to see the connection between their appeasement and increasing Democrat aggression.
