Donald 'conservative hero' Trump, stealing jokes from liberal icon Stuart Smalley.

Yes, but all Trump has to do is say he was quoting a liberal icon. Watch the MSM have to choose between supporting Sen. McCain or Sen. Franken.

Is the newly patriotic MSM going to call upon Sen. Franken to apologize?

And Trump never gave McCain the FINGER like obama did during the campaign

Trump is driving the liberal media and RINO establishment nuts. He just tore up Martha Radditz into pieces.

That is where his support is coming from. Americans that are fed up with DC elites.

Actually, Trump could have gotten the line from Chris Rock

These are PROFESSIONAL propagandists.

Their response will be, "Al Franken's comment is old news. Trumps comment is CURRENT!"

He used liberal lines. So why are the libs so upset that he’s using them?

I’m surprise no one has brought up the Keating 5 scandal?

"Franken's remark?" they will ask, incredulously:

I presume the media did NOT bash A. Franken for saying this. Or did they?

Okay, the statement is a little crass, and guess what - it’s not even original. May be from Franken, or Chris Rock, or some other lib. Libs say crass things too. We all have probably repeated a line without remembering the exact source. Whatever.

McLame is indeed a war hero, but he is not sacred ground or a holy icon. And it he still is lousy liberal politician.

I’m not for Trump at this point, but I don’t mind him being out there driving all the other clowns up the wall. The whole process is a circus.

McLame is not a war hero.

Any fool can be shot down and captured by the enemy.

Being a POW is not a permanent “Get out of jail free.” card, either.

Franken was a washed up comedian, writing a piece for little-read Salon.com when he made his despicable remark.

Trump is running for president, and is (nominally) leading in the GOP polls at the moment.

Little wonder that Trump’s remarks have gotten more attention. Both “men” made statements that utterly disqualify them from serving as Commander in Chief. But only one of them is seeking that job.

If our side of the aisle did its damn job in Congress and followed through on implementing the conservative agenda they were elected to carry out then a Donald Trump candidacy would have been blown out of the water long ago. Trump is saying what we all want to hear, but really folks we all know the dude is a liberal at heart. All of you Cruzers in euphoria mode and slobbering all over yourselves about a Cruz/Trump pairing need to get a grip. If Trump is serious and goes all the way in this presidential pursuit he is going to attack Cruz sooner or later since Ted will be one of his main competitors. Let’s see then how keen you are about The Donald.

Why would the statement disqualify Trump?

This is war. It isn’t the place for the easily offended or for vestal virgins.

Oh and mclame has been milking the “I’m a war hero” schtick for over 30 years. Screw him and the horse he rode in on.

For the same reason Franken’s statement disqualified him - because a President should not be disparaging POWs. Under any circumstances.
