Franken was a washed up comedian, writing a piece for little-read Salon.com when he made his despicable remark.
Trump is running for president, and is (nominally) leading in the GOP polls at the moment.
Little wonder that Trump’s remarks have gotten more attention. Both “men” made statements that utterly disqualify them from serving as Commander in Chief. But only one of them is seeking that job.
Why would the statement disqualify Trump?
This is war. It isn’t the place for the easily offended or for vestal virgins.
Oh and mclame has been milking the “I’m a war hero” schtick for over 30 years. Screw him and the horse he rode in on.

So far. Franken easily could put himself out there for “that job” in the not-too-distant future.
