Facebook photos and other evidence suggest that Dylann Roof, 21, who has confessed to the killings, has a keen interest in white supremacy organizations and "Southern heritage" movements.

As a history buff, I hate to see haters give "Southern heritage" a bad name. Trouble is, some Southern heritage fans don't want to accept that the "War of Northern Aggression," as some call it, ended 150 years ago.

Yet even before Roof's name was announced to the world, the tragedy at Emanuel AME Church immediately raised three disturbing questions in my head. They were the same three questions that came to my mind after similar tragedies at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, at the movie theater in Aurora, Colo., at Columbine High School in Colorado and others that come painfully to mind:

•Who let this gunman get his hands on a deadly weapon?

•How did he slip through our mental health services net?

•Is he part of a larger terrorist conspiracy or is he a lone

At least three different laws failed to stop last week’s mass murder of a group of black people in a Bible study in Charleston. Pray tell, did the murderer navigate his way clear of the gaps in existing law, so that we need to add a fourth law to put a stop to mass murder?

The question asked was why hasn’t he (started just taking firearms away, disarming America)? The answer is not difficult, he likes breathing, waking up each morning. Disarming 40 million or more folks many of whom are going to be pretty PO’d at the attempt may well have a negative impact on things 0bama enjoys, like breathing.

Just remember that, whether it's reported equally or not, the overwhelming majority of blacks are not with those shenanigans, just like the overwhelming majority of whites aren't with the shenanigans of the monster who did this church shooting.

We are all, whether as individuals or groups, sometimes led into misguided perceptions by media, or community leaders, or whomever.

But most Americans overcome such absurdity nonetheless. Always remember that 99.9% of us are simply good, peaceable People who want to live as brothers. We are all presented with incontrovertible evidence of this fact constantly, as each of us moves through our mundane everyday lives.

What we have is a media and an E! Entertainment society and liberal government that protects and tacitly endorses this behavior while at the same time diverts the excuses. There isn't a question about that in my mind.

We have official organizations in this country that are dedicated to defending what blacks, Muslims and other victim groups do no matter what it is. Why then are we as whites required to do penance for an insane murderer?

I wasn't trying to imply anything untoward in your original post. I was simply commenting and expanding.

My main point gist was that most Americans see far beyond the stunted, transparent, neanderthal clumsiness of the media, community leaders, race-baiters, politicians, and so on, and as such, everyday Americans are magnitudes wiser and more spiritually advanced than the elites who imagine that they are our betters, and fantasize that they rule over us and "lead" us.

Sane people are always against insanity and that which creates it. Insanity shouldn’t be protected no matter what the color of the person’s skin is or what god they pray to.

At the same time, we have to realize that we have an environment in this country that is seemingly one-sided, primarily because we have an administration and a sympathetic media and entertainment industry that is dedicated to exacting compensation for prior injustices committed by ancestors long dead.

If you look at the depth and breadth of the reporting on this, most of it is nothing but attempts to push some biased agenda that involves how white people are to blame.

That's for sure. Hysteria often overwhelms reason, especially when packaged in the trappings of somebody's narrow vision of "truth".

The propaganda you cite is every bit as damaging to the state of things as the violent acts of this misguided young man, and the propaganda he obviously swallowed in order to justify his "crusade".

The ripple effect of such twisting of "facts", whether they are physical or rhetorical (or both) is truly devastating.
