I really despise liberals. I'm an ex-smoker, but support folks right to smoke.

In fact, when I'm close to death, I will instruct my son to bring a shot of the finest bourbon and a cigarette.

When I was in USMC Boot Camp in 1966, and a “Smoking Formation” was called, the non-smokers (maybe a third of the platoon) were punished by having to run to the barracks, grab their toothbrushes and ‘Non-smokers: Brush your fangs!’

When I served in the Navy, untaxed “sea stores” cigarettes sold on shipboard for one dollar a carton. In some foreign ports you could sell a pack of Camels (fancy U.S. imports, dont’cha know) for a quarter! Sell a few packs, there’s your beer money.
