I have no problem with this.

The taxpayers - current and future - pay for military health care.

Fewer smokers mean costs go down, plus, healthier human beings and families.

“I have no problem with this.”

You have problems in your thinking. Your social engineering is right in line with the liberal agenda

What the hell is wrong with you? You want to prevent something a grunt might find soothing to save you a few pennies down the road. That man might be dead in a few days. And here in safety, you’d deny something very small he might get some small comfort from.

You should have a big problem with the latest attack on our military. Nicotine has given death threatened soldiers many a moral boost when they were in the trenches separated from friends and family and a warm fire while protecting people like you from danger.

Fewer smokers mean costs go down

And this is the very thinking of Michelle Obama as she deprives our kids of anything good to eat. The thinking is that depriving kids of food will make health costs go down. Social tinkering is WRONG! And ESPECIALLY when done to our soldiers.

I agree. And in addition, smoking is nasty, filthy and disgusting.

The two yard periods that I went through were bad for my health. Inbound ordnance was bad for my health. Outbound ordnance was bad for my health. Constant noise, fumes and all of the asbestos was bad for my health. Dangerous evolutions were bad for my health. Being the #1 OBA Man onboard ship was bad for my health. Otto fuel was bad for our health. Having to manually lift and carry torpedoes was bad for our health. Downloading ASROCs at night on antiquated equipment was bad for our health. Liberty in Subic Bay was bad for my health. Shipboard life in general is bad for one’s health.
I could go on enlightening you as to things that were bad for our health, but I think the point is obvious.

With the totalitarian new healthcare laws, taxpayers will also cover your healthcosts.

I hope you enjoy your low-fat vegetarian government prescribed diet. In fact, everything that the state deems “bad for you” will become illegal.

Enjoy your “Brave New World.” You asked for it.

Just about everyone in the USA will end up on Medicare...so get out there and go jogging! And eat your veggies! And don’t TOUCH any fast food, ice cream, dairy products, eggs, or bacon - the US Government has decided how you need to live to reduce cost to the taxpayer!

Welcome to the land of freedom...

I guarantee you that there will be more military members maimed/injured/killed by means of alcohol this year than will have similar levels of problems due to smoking.

Why not just let individuals decide? They already know about the dangers of both. It’s hard to ban the one and not the other.

BTW, homosexual behavior will end their life a few years earlier than tobacco use.
