Another good incentive for Perry to hammer this to the end and blow it up in the Dem faces.

Lots of states have laws against “felons” buying or possessing ammo.
Just a little something for those who think its OK to restrict felon’s gun rights to think about.

I’m pretty sure he’s wrong about that. You might need to show ID to prove you are over 21 in order to buy pistol ammo, but that’s about it.

This is disgusting. I’ve been told over and over again that Texas is the greatest state in the union so how can this possibly happen? I’m serious!

Actually, it’s not just new firearms. In theory, he must surrender the ones he has. He is considered a ‘Prohibited Person’.

But he is not a felon, yet. He still needs to be convicted of a felony.

He is not restricted from buying guns, ammo and he can even open carry a rifle or black powder handgun. The ONLY thing no longer do is concealed carry.

Fortunately Texas has ammunition manufactures.

The Washington/Chicago lynch mob is after him.
Let’s see what happens in Texas, cuz it’ll start happening around the country.

Gov Perry is not a felon.

And theres more. As an indictee, Perrys state-issued Concealed Handgun License, assuming he still has one his office didnt know as of Tuesday afternoon will be suspended until the case against him is decided. (Cue the cheering coyotes.) Isn't that presumption of guilt? I could understand if he was charged with a violent crime or something like that.

Texas has some of the most bass-ackwards firearms laws in the country. Most of that boils down to the Reconstruction.
We're working to change them. Getting rid of Dewhurst was important.

Just a little something for those who think its OK to restrict felons gun rights to think about.IMHO, this might be another reason for this little fiasco to blow up in the Dem's faces. Enough people realize that some petty, small minded bureaucrat can dummy up charges to make them lose their rights... Oh, never mind. The sheeple are a long way from waking up.

Which is why these sorts of laws are improper. That and other reasons.

The BATF calls ‘em Prohibited Persons, and all ongoing possession of existing firearms is disallowed. It’s TPO people, Restraining Order people, DV accusees, Felon accusees....
