A poster on Twitter, upon seeing what he thought were very similar posts referencing MSNBC host Rachel Maddow's show, did some searching and found out that Maddow has been using phony twitter accounts to boost her "mentions" on the popular website.
As can be seen by screenshots collected by a tweeter named @LeftyBollocks, Maddow has massive amount of accounts posting the exact same claim that "Confession: I yell at my TV while watching Rachel #Maddow talk about filibuster reform in the same way most people do during football."
With so many supposedly unique accounts mentioning her name, the term #Maddow has quickly risen to the top of trending topics on twitter-something @LeftyBollocks found odd since her show has so few viewers.
What I caught, searching, is the many of those names are from SUSPENDED Twitter accounts.

I think the Twitter system figured this out and suspended these sockpuppet (probably done by a PR firm) accounts.

For instance reach beyond the MSM. Obama reaches maybe 10-20% of people by speaking to entertainment and leisure type venues directly - GOP nothing - we don’t even compete.
The GOP basically ignores an entire segment of the population - given they barely know any politics, but they do vote. Most of the population doesn’t even go to church... they get their morals from movies and games.
This is a non-issue for the moonbat-princess. If anything, it only raises the esteem of her madcow liberal sycophants for doing what comes naturally for them.
OK, so it is obvious that SOMEONE is carrying on an astroturf campaign. But how do we know definitively it is Maddow? It could be a fan. It could be someone at MSNBC, but not on her staff... short of MSNBC and/or Maddow admitting something, we really have no proof it was Maddow that did this.
It’s spamming. What they probably did was hire it out. Googling “twitter accounts for sale” shows a bunch for sale on ebay.
