A poster on Twitter, upon seeing what he thought were very similar posts referencing MSNBC host Rachel Maddow's show, did some searching and found out that Maddow has been using phony twitter accounts to boost her "mentions" on the popular website.
As can be seen by screenshots collected by a tweeter named @LeftyBollocks, Maddow has massive amount of accounts posting the exact same claim that "Confession: I yell at my TV while watching Rachel #Maddow talk about filibuster reform in the same way most people do during football."
With so many supposedly unique accounts mentioning her name, the term #Maddow has quickly risen to the top of trending topics on twitter-something @LeftyBollocks found odd since her show has so few viewers.

These low-life lesbians really rise to the top. Of course their usual haunt is the bottom of the cesspools where they can pick off the young tadpoles.
She and Helen Degenerate would make an interesting pair. No. Wait a minute that wouldn’t work would it? They’re both masculine type lesbos. Anyway, perhaps a new tv sitcom could be worked out using these two high-profile lesbians. It would be a comedy with cameo guests like Rozie O’Doughnut and ex-secretary of steaks: Hillary Rottham Clinton.

Rush might break his own embargo on MSLSD on Monday to comment on this — in this case, he wouldn’t be re-broadcasting their content.

Many of these have been “suspended”. I guess the system figured out that they were all sockpuppets sending the same messages.

BTW here’s good advice from another site: you’re asking for trouble if you tweet the same thing as a joke, in case Twitter has set up some kind of auto-suspend procedure for this “virus”.

I glanced at a bunch of those female names, by the way, and they ALL seem like improbable names, created by mismatching a first name from somewhere with a surname from somewhere else.
Believe me, they’re not even real names, and I’m so intrigued by my thesis, I’m gonna google a half dozen of them and report back.If they only show up on this one Twitter thread, you know they’re bogus.
Oh they’re completely fake. Pick any account and look at its tweets. They’re all an absolutely impossible combination of cutie-pie college student and multiple-offender profanity-prone ghetto drug dealer, with a number of tweets of hashtag-only tags perfectly and completely indicting it as a bot by “teamautofollow”.
