We all know that the left seeks to ban all guns, and one of their tools is the misuse of language. Therefore we need to RENAME those that they refer to as "Assault Weapons". Which of these three alternatives to you think is best? Please express your belief:
A) Homeland Defense Rifle, B) Sport/Utility Rifle, or C) Tyranny Response Rifle

Maybe we need a broader definition of “assault weapons” rather than a new name. Any ballot marked with the name Barack Hussein Obama, or of any politician who supports his socialist agenda, has the potential to kill millions and is both an “Assault weapon” and a weapon of mass destruction.
I go with “B”, but my favorite is “Modern Sporting Rifle”. I don’t know why we aid & abet the gun-grabbers by using their terminology. I rarely use the term “assault weapon”, except to describe the proposed legislation, then refer only to MSR’s or Modern Sporting Rifles, thereafter.
I personally like: Self Defense Stick - that way we can confiscate their beloved initials SDS (Students for a Democratic Society).
‘A’ has been around a while and ‘C’ is kinda trendy with current events....
If I had one, I’d call it “My Goto Weapon” . . .

I prefer “Musket”. That way it doesn’t confuse the libs as they relate to the 2nd amendment.
Just tell ‘em that “assault weapons” are already illegal under the National Firearms Act.
Then ask them where they’ve been, and who’s been telling them they’re legal.
An “assault” rifle is a rifle whose owner is smeared as willing to commit the crime of “assault.”But since there are thousands of unoffending gun owners in the country for each (annual) gun murder, we know that in reality privately held weapons, like police-owned weapons, are actually Law and Order Weapons.

My vote: Government Assassinator
I call it a sporting rifle, which is what the semi-automatic version is.
People buy the rifle by the millions because of it’s light, sporty handling and characterististics, and they use it primarily as a sports rifle for target shooting.
Even when used in hunting it is seen as a sporty type varmint gun, convenient and small caliber, but not in the company of a hunter’s serious hunting rifles which are more effective, but less versatile and “sporty”.
I second that.
I say we call them “cuddlers” or “woogies.” Something cutesy and warm so the brainless soccer mommies who cringe at the words “rifle” and “gun” don’t have to soil their yoga pants every time they hear a story about firearms.

Once again the left are trying to destroy an aspect of our culture they disagree with. Yet they continue to preach diversity while working tirelessly to establish a liberal/leftist monoculture.
Now they are deternmined to make guns socially unacceptable, using the same underhanded tactics they used to mainstream queers, promote acceptance of the brood-sow, welfare life style, and to ostracize cigarette smokers.
They will use ridicule and embarrassment in an attempt to turn gun owners into outcasts while they brainwash the younger generations in the government schools.
They will make kids ashamed to admit that their parents own a gun and will hold up to ridicule any child who doesn’t buy into their leftist, anti-gun dogma.

mentions a Request For Proposal (RFP) from Homeland Security for 7000 Personal Defense Weapons (PDW) and 70,000 standard (30 round) magazines suitable for personal defense in close quarters. Except for the select fire option, these seem to be the same type of weapon that DiFi says have no use for self defense.
PDW seems like a good descriptor.

I call an assault rifle a fullly automatic weapon, only available to the military, police, and holders of a special federal license.I think the we and the gun industry do ourselves a dis-service by playing into the fraud thet a simi-automatic weapon is an “assault rifle”.
If I may quote the so called smartest women in government What difference does it make if you call it a semi automatic rifle or a peace maker?
The NRA is already referring to these as Modern Sporting Rifles (MSR). I suggest you follow their lead and not randomize the debate by introducing additional names.

Their successful use of slick terms has deceived the public and “Assault Rifle” is yet another such term.
