Purpose of FR and why we can never support Mitt Romney
vanity | Oct 15, 2011 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 10/15/2011 1:51:20 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Edited on 10/15/2011 1:54:20 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Our purpose and goal on FR is to restore, defend, preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States and to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity!!

The goal of the domestic enemy (the left), i.e., the statist liberals, Marxists and progressives is just the opposite.

The goal of the establishment RINO is to gain control of political power, but not to otherwise rock the boat. The boat continues taking on water and listing sharper to port every time the left takes over, but the unprincipled RINOs do absolutely nothing to right her when they get a chance. In fact, the RINOs actually tack on plenty of their own unconstitutional baggage when they're in power and so our ship of state today is in pretty bad shape.

RINO Romney is one of the worst. We can thank him for being the chief architect of ObamaCare, which if we cannot get overturned and repealed, will finally accomplish the left's major objective of shredding the final remnants of our tattered constitution and ending our God-given Liberty forever (they think).

The liberals believe our constitution is a flawed document written in a different time for different circumstances by rich old racist white men and no longer applies to today's circumstances. They're now even trying to promote the idea that the constitution was never intended to limit or restrict the powers of government.

Like hell! That was and is its primary intent! And we who have sworn an oath to defend it, will defend it--from all enemies, foreign and domestic!

And that's FR's purpose and reason for being.

Romney may be a Republican, and that's questionable, because he's violated nearly every plank in the Republican party's official pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Constitution, pro-Liberty platform, but he's definitely no conservative. In fact his record is that of a statist liberal progressive. And he's a total fraud to boot, with a nasty habit of lying--about everything. He'll do and say anything if he thinks it will help him get elected. He's a two-bit, unprincipled political whore.

Here's Romney's record on some of our primary issues of concern compared to Obama's:

Issue: Obama Romney
Pro-Abortion check check
Gun-grabber check check
Gay rights check check
Gov forced healthcare check check
Tax payer funded abortion check check
Man-made global warming check check
Liberal judges check check
Liberal appointees check check
Ted Kennedy pal check check
Proven liar check check
Fraud check check
Liberal Progressive check check
Enemy of Reagan/Bush check check
Enemy of the tea party check check
Enemy of Liberty check check
Defender of the Constitution no no
Conservative no no
Works across the aisle no yes
Architect of ObamaCare no yes
Domestic Enemy check check
Useful idiot check check

All of the above plus much more is documented in the RomneyTruth files on FR. Click the RomneyTruthFile keyword at the top of the main page. Also watch the "New Romney Campaign Video" also linked at the top of the main page. Watch it all the way through. I even saw some clips I'd never seen before. Pretty damning stuff for anyone running for president as a Republican.

Let's face it folks, the elite establishment RINO corps hates the tea party, hates conservatives, are afraid and even ashamed to have us identify ourselves as Republicans, feel we are dangerous extremist, racist, bigoted bible thumping, gun-toting, flag-waving neanderthals. The tea party is the best thing to happen for America since 1776 and our tea party candidates are the best thing for the GOP since Ronald Reagan, but what do the elite establishment RINOs do? They declare us the enemy! They went after Sarah Palin and some of our other tea party candidates with bared fangs and talons. Karl Rove and company were and continue to be as nasty and shameless on the attack as the nastiest lying liberal. Sarah Palin was the most exciting new face in GOP politics in a century and would have been a landslide 57 state victory over the corrupt, lying Marxist/progressive Obama. But the good ol' boys, i.e., the elite establishment corrupt crony capitalist GOP bastards could have none of that. Instead, they've opted to go all in with a corrupt, lying statist/progressive of their own: Willard (the Rat) Romney.

Well, good luck getting the Rat elected without the committed grassroots, pro-life, pro-constitution conservatives or the majority of the tea party.

FR, for one, will not play that game. NO MORE RINOS!!

No Romney. NOT ON FR!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!

Should Romney be "the one," I'll vote for the down-ticket conservatives on the ballot, but I will not vote for an abortionist, gay-rights pushing, gun-grabbing, global-warming advocating, big government healthcare mandating statist/progressive for president!! I'd rather write-in the name of the tea party conservative who best matches my beliefs. Romney is no 80 percenter. Not even close! He's the backstabbing enemy within.

God bless America!!

Long live the Republic!!

Dude, I just said that if it came down to Romney or Obama, that I'd pick Romney and I'm being slammed as a RINO myself. I'm a Cain guy and have been since the beginning when I heard him announce on his radio show that he was running and was the first to officially come and and say so.

Get ready for the attacks for trying to be logical...

“they appear to be Perry or Cain supporters but they are Romney supporters.”

But is this something that you KNOW or is this simply your opinion?

“So now I’m being attacked because I am stating what I have been seeing.”

Well to be honest with you, I think you are being attacked for not naming names after making a pretty serious accusation.

and thought you had a negative opinion of Cain.

Sorry.

Should Romney gain the nomination, we will not vote for him. The GOP knows that we have traditionally held our noses to vote for the lesser of evils but no more. We also will not vote for Olympia Snowe.

I think that Mr. Robinson was pretty clear.

He was perfectly clear, and I did not express any disagreement whatsoever with him or with the original post that he made.

My question was to someone who said that they would support Romney in the general election, because in their view Romney was with them 40%.

So I asked that person which 60% of Romney's positions they disagreed with.

Romney is a pro-abortion, gun grabbing advocate for gay rights that supports the global warming tripe and believes that the government should be able to force me to purchase health-care.

I agree 100%. I can't stand Romney.

If Willard heard you have to be psychedelic to be elected president, he’d already be tie-dyed.

Do you think having Obama-lite is worse than having Obama?

They are the same politically. The ‘lite’ is a reference to Mitt being white.

I will not further a man who thinks he is fulfilling prophecy.

That is the problem...they appear to be Perry or Cain supporters but they are Romney supporters. So now I’m being attacked because I am stating what I have been seeing. IF you don’t think we have Romney supporters here disguised as either or then you aren’t aware of the dirty, evil tricks and ways of the Romney campaign. They match how the left operates.

You are not being attacked. You have been asked - repeatedly - to name them.

How is that an 'attack'?

If you can point out ONE closet Romney supporter who claims to be a Cain supporter, I will eat them myself.

I have proven, over and over again, the I value truth above all else. I will not tolerate someone who claims to be my ally in order to undermine my candidate.

So give me a hand here. Who are these people?

In case you are still laboring under the insane assumption that FR has been overly kind to romney, this thread should disabuse you of that notion in a heartbeat.

As to respect, I'm not asking for any, simply an absence of maltreatment in the form of pathetic words like "noob" and "newbie"...

Yet you have the nerve to accuse long-time FReepers of being racists.

I will alert JR when I am almost sure they may be a Romney supporter. I will not post those names on an open thread. It takes time to identify them. Once, I am almost positive then, I'll give JR a heads up and let him track them and make his determination.

I would hope you would do the same if you think we may have a Romney supporter amongst us. They seem to be the most disruptive on both Perry and Cain threads.

Although Sarah Palin herself called Rick Perry "a true conservative", many on FR have been willing to join the bandwagon in the Tarring & Feathering of Perry. Many on FR have been mesmerized by Herman Cain's sound bites in what passes for "debates" today when it is obvious that any candidate can throw out any sound bite at any debate:

VIDEO clips of Romney/Kennedy Debates: Liberals For Romney - More Liberal than Ted Kennedy

Before rushing like lemmings to get aboard "The Cain Train", FReepers should really consider where the Cain Train has been, where the Cain Train has made recent stops and what the Cain Train's ultimate destination is.

I know that this is a minority opinion on FR, and so be it, but it is my firm belief that Herman Cain is acting like a stalking horse for Mitt Romney for the reasons listed and backed up below.

1.) All Cain attacks are directed at Perry.
2.) No Cain attacks are directed at Romney.
3.) Cain has stated that he will not support Perry even against Marxist Obama
4.) Cain has said that he is willing to support Romney.
5.) During October, Cain is focusing on selling books on a national book tour instead of focusing on the logistical "Beans & Bullets" needed to win the Primary Wars that will start in the near future.
6.) In my opinion, for the above reasons, Cain's ultimate goal is to become the next conservative premier speaking tour draw and the next Huckabee on FOX News while leaving the GOP nomination to Romney.

Ask yourselves these questions, fellow FReepers:

Which candidate is not building up a campaign war chest (the logistical "Beans & Bullets" of an electoral war) because he is spending October hawking his book instead of paying attention to the logistics of a serious campaign?

Herman Cain Only Has 'Several Hundred Thousand Dollars' In The Bank .... Compare that to Romney's $14 million or Perry's $18 million

Michael Steele to Herman Cain: Get Off the Book Tour

Which candidate has been focusing all of his attacks on Perry while treating Romney with kid gloves?

Herman Cain said Wednesday that he would be unable to support Rick Perry for president if the Texas governor were to eventually win the party's nomination. .... The former businessman said, for instance, that he could support former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney....

Which candidate endorsed Mitt Romney in 2008?

HERMAN CAIN'S ENDORSEMENT OF MITT ROMNEY PUBLISHED IN THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION PRIOR TO SUPER TUESDAY, 2008

While spending October on a national book-signing tour, which candidate is leaving the GOP major donors to be harvested by Mitt Romney?

Romney Rounds Up Backing Among Key G.O.P. Donors

Conservatives are now infatuated by a "Sound Bite Machine" without ever noticing that the candidate is focusing his energies on selling books and marketing himself as a paid speaker rather than focusing on what it takes to fight and win a prolonged electoral war.

Washington Speakers Bureau: Herman Cain, passionate and exceptional leader whose experience has brought him to the pinnacle of both the corporate and political worlds, Herman Cain brings solutions to both businesses—and America’s—most pressing problems.

A campaign war chest is the "Beans and Bullets" of a serious electoral war. If you want to know if a candidate is truly serious about fighting to win, pay attention to how much attention they are paying to the logistics required to win.

"Amateurs talk about strategy and professionals talk about logistics." .... Omar Bradley

After Cain leaves the battlefield after soon running out of "Beans & Bullets" and leaves Mitt Romney with Cain's support, conservatives will be left with Perry severely wounded by attacks that have come from conservatives themselves.

Perry, like anybody that has actually governed and has an actual governing record for over a decade, is not perfect and never will be. As a debater, Perry is not all that great. But, don't bury Perry too soon because Perry may be the only thing standing between Mitt Romney and the GOP nomination by next Spring.

Can Perry still beat Obama after being gang-mugged by conservatives?

So far, the answer is still, "Yes".

Poll: Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney All Beat Obama

But Romney is my dead-last choice among viable candidates... except Obama.

I have more respect for Obama than I do Romney. Obama wants to destroy the Republic and said so; Romney just wants to be top dog of the planet. If we can't get a man of good character now, we never well. It is time to be brave.
