Although Sarah Palin herself called Rick Perry "a true conservative", many on FR have been willing to join the bandwagon in the Tarring & Feathering of Perry. Many on FR have been mesmerized by Herman Cain's sound bites in what passes for "debates" today when it is obvious that any candidate can throw out any sound bite at any debate:

Before rushing like lemmings to get aboard "The Cain Train", FReepers should really consider where the Cain Train has been, where the Cain Train has made recent stops and what the Cain Train's ultimate destination is.

I know that this is a minority opinion on FR, and so be it, but it is my firm belief that Herman Cain is acting like a stalking horse for Mitt Romney for the reasons listed and backed up below.

1.) All Cain attacks are directed at Perry.
2.) No Cain attacks are directed at Romney.
3.) Cain has stated that he will not support Perry even against Marxist Obama
4.) Cain has said that he is willing to support Romney.
5.) During October, Cain is focusing on selling books on a national book tour instead of focusing on the logistical "Beans & Bullets" needed to win the Primary Wars that will start in the near future.
6.) In my opinion, for the above reasons, Cain's ultimate goal is to become the next conservative premier speaking tour draw and the next Huckabee on FOX News while leaving the GOP nomination to Romney.

Ask yourselves these questions, fellow FReepers:

Which candidate is not building up a campaign war chest (the logistical "Beans & Bullets" of an electoral war) because he is spending October hawking his book instead of paying attention to the logistics of a serious campaign?

Herman Cain Only Has 'Several Hundred Thousand Dollars' In The Bank .... Compare that to Romney's $14 million or Perry's $18 million

Michael Steele to Herman Cain: Get Off the Book Tour

Which candidate has been focusing all of his attacks on Perry while treating Romney with kid gloves?

Herman Cain said Wednesday that he would be unable to support Rick Perry for president if the Texas governor were to eventually win the party's nomination. .... The former businessman said, for instance, that he could support former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney....

Which candidate endorsed Mitt Romney in 2008?

While spending October on a national book-signing tour, which candidate is leaving the GOP major donors to be harvested by Mitt Romney?

Conservatives are now infatuated by a "Sound Bite Machine" without ever noticing that the candidate is focusing his energies on selling books and marketing himself as a paid speaker rather than focusing on what it takes to fight and win a prolonged electoral war.

Washington Speakers Bureau: Herman Cain, passionate and exceptional leader whose experience has brought him to the pinnacle of both the corporate and political worlds, Herman Cain brings solutions to both businesses—and America’s—most pressing problems.

A campaign war chest is the "Beans and Bullets" of a serious electoral war. If you want to know if a candidate is truly serious about fighting to win, pay attention to how much attention they are paying to the logistics required to win.

"Amateurs talk about strategy and professionals talk about logistics." .... Omar Bradley

After Cain leaves the battlefield after soon running out of "Beans & Bullets" and leaves Mitt Romney with Cain's support, conservatives will be left with Perry severely wounded by attacks that have come from conservatives themselves.

Perry, like anybody that has actually governed and has an actual governing record for over a decade, is not perfect and never will be. As a debater, Perry is not all that great. But, don't bury Perry too soon because Perry may be the only thing standing between Mitt Romney and the GOP nomination by next Spring.

Can Perry still beat Obama after being gang-mugged by conservatives?

So far, the answer is still, "Yes".

Poll: Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney All Beat Obama

I like Cain and have been impressed with him in interviews and the debates I've seen.

But I agree; these points from your list are somewhat disconcerting:

1.) All Cain attacks are directed at Perry.
2.) No Cain attacks are directed at Romney.
3.) Cain has stated that he will not support Perry even against Marxist Obama
4.) Cain has said that he is willing to support Romney.

However, should he get the nomination, he will have my full support.

Romney will never get my support. Nor would Paul or Huntsman, but they're not really vible at this point.

2.) No Cain attacks are directed at Romney.

IIRC, at the Florida "debate" when Cain was given the opportunity to ask another candidate a question he asked Romney about his 59 point plan. The questions wasn't flattering to Mittens.

No Cain attacks are directed at Romney.

It has already been posted to you examples of Cain attacking Romney.

Once again, your statement is false.

We are also are seeing a plethora of FReepers jumping in to defend Romney on the mormonism issue. That "persecution card" has worked for 150 years and the method is well-honed. How many of these FReepers who claim that "religion should not be the issue" are willing to throw away the issue that could keep Mitt off the ballot only to see that issue used by Obama?

This is no time for the "kumbaya" PC "let's all get along" posters to put Mitt into the driver's seat because of their ignorance of mormon heresy.

Mitt is one of the dirtiest campaigners in recent history. It's time to play hard ball against his tricks.
