Saturday Night Live really ripped into Barack Obama tonight referring to him as a socialist and saying he has failed at everything!!! Anyone see it? I was surprised.

Dear Reader: "I am NOT a failure!!!" 17% Unemployed/Underemployed, stagnate economy, losing the war in Afghanistan. Well you might not be a failure YET 0 but you sure are on your way to fail.

17% Unemployed/Underemployed, stagnate economy, losing the war in Afghanistan, Iran rattleing the saber....
Why yes, yes Dear Reader is in a serious mess. And looking at all his prescribed “fixes” he is only going to make matters seriously worse. Hang on tight boys and girls, the DC Clown Posse is going to turn recession into depression in 2010.

Obama's accent is definitely straight middle-American, but his manner of speaking is very distinct, and unique.A Kenyan brogue?

I think on Obama you have a distinct pacing. He kind of splits his sentences and rolls out the second half after a pause. He also has tone, as we all do. But I agree, in general, it seems difficult and not like Clinton or the Bushes.

What people seem to be missing is that this "mocking" is really a way of hectoring the President to pass his liberal agenda. We conservatives believe he has accomplished too much in terms of pushing this country to the left. The stimulus package and his supplementary budget PASSED putting this country into the red by at least another $9 trillion over the next ten years. He has taken over car companies, the banks, and insurance compainies. A cap and trade bill has passed the House.
You know that Obama will close Gitmo. He will pass a healthcare bill, the only question is what will be in it. He will have all combat troops out of Iraq by the end of next year. And the list goes on. I am troubled by this so-called mocking. It will just drive the liberals to get their agenda passed faster. SNL is part of the leftist MSM.

Obama has had speaking training...quite a bit of it and knows how to kind of hypnotize thru speech with that odd “s” sounding lisp he closes so many sentence fragments with...
there is a name for that sort of thing....something about constant consonant emphasis pattern
he lulls folks into being mesmerized without actually listening which is good since he only meanders from platitude to platitude in public....in private off the microphone he sounds sharper and less mono tonal and more abrupt and unscripted....”kanye is a jackass”...that sort of thing
remember in school when occasionally someone would speak and it felt good to listen to them and made you relax?
Obama’s voice and speech pattern does that to folks who are not ideologically inoculated and it must work wonders on fellow travelers

But I couldnt get over the fact that they guy playing him didnt even really to imitate him at all. He doesnt look all that much like him and he didnt change his voice at all from what it normally, he sounded nothing like him. Although, that chessy smile he kept using was pretty funny. But cmon, put some effort into effort. At least Tin Fey wore a wig and used an accent. Hammond was great as Clinton. When SNL had a lady play Hillary Clinton last year, it was the same thing. It wasn't anything like the real Hillary. The actress was pretty, and acted with class and grace. I thought "They are making Hillary look like Mother Theresa."
They could have really gone after her, but they didn't (of course).

It was a very mild rebuke and satire - but you could tell the libs in the audience were very uncomfortable.
