Saturday Night Live really ripped into Barack Obama tonight referring to him as a socialist and saying he has failed at everything!!! Anyone see it? I was surprised.

And we thought the day would never come!

Missed it (using the word loosely); hope to see on youtube.

Looks like Copenhagen was the cue for his support network to abandon him.

With midterm elections barely a year away, even his supporters see he's destined to be a one-term failure and are distancing themselves.

Not the first time SNL made fun of OB. Lorne Michaels may be a leberal, but I don't think he joins the others in the meetings. They gave Clinton everything he deserved.

The guy that does OB is hilarious as the governor of NY. I don't think they have a good OB person in the wings. I saw a guy on America's Got Talent. He was good, but not SNL skit-comic quality. Maybe we should work on our impressions.

I doubt if Himself tolerates ridicule.

They joked a little but in my opinion it was a milk toast version.

It was not too tough on Obummer.

... But cmon, put some effort into effort ...

Notice Fred Armisen's hair and voice are very different when he's selling porcelain fountains.

Good thing for the Democrats that they have an attractive fresh face eager to replace Obama in 2012.

You can already feel their excitement starting to build.

They didn’t put effort into the Family Feud take off. The Richard Dawsen impression was a no effort part too.

Obama is hard to impersonate becasue he doesn’t really have a distinguishing feature, or even really appearance. That, and honestly in the comedy world there probably aren’t a lot of tall, thin light skinned black comedians.

Clinton had that throaty drawl everyone can do. Bush41 had that sort of patrician voice that Carvey did. W had his drawl that Ferrell was able to do. SNL’s later W guy who also does that MacGruber sketch was pretty bad, though.

Palin, admittedly, has tons of things. She has that voice that’s straight out of Fargo or that Red head who was in a bunch of 80s movies like the scene in the airport with Steve Martin in Planes, Trains and Autombiles or the secretary in Ferris Bueller. She has the trademark hairdo of the updo, she has the glasses, and unfortunately, she does bear quite a striking resemblance to Tina Fey, another thin brunette known for her trademark glasses. I can’t really think of an actor/actress who’s come so close to a politician in the looks dept. She hsould have gotten LASIK or worn contacts. We never would have seen Fey.

But Obama sounds pretty normal when he talks, no regional accent. He looks pretty plain and doesn’t have a trademark haircut or glasses or what have you. He’s just a pretty avg looking guy.

Hard to imitate.

I do think the disaster in Denmark has opened some floodgates. We don’t like our president to be seen as a loser and there’s just no spinning Denmark.
